A short comic of D/Rogier, filled with dialogue that seems like what I wrote after losing my mind, and with completely meaningless metaphors... In this piece I HC Rogier is unaware that D and his younger brother are twins, since judging from Rogier’s letter, he should know very little about Devin’s private matters. Besides, anything not present in the original work is also my HC. I hope you enjoy reading~

P.S. This comic is originally written in Chinese, and I chose an artistic font that isn’t very friendly to OCR and machine translation, so I manually translated and embedded this English version for English readers. It may have many issues with bubble/text size alignment...

P.P.S This comic is really drawn with such amateurish quality that it seems to have made a countless number of mistakes, so the readability is likely very poor. And D & R, these two look so pretty that they pose a huge challenge to my art skills... Sorry for making them look twisted and awkward. Please instead appreciate the beauty of them in the original work...

The Apple pencil ran out of power in the middle of the painting, and unfortunately I didn't bring a charging adapter when I was traveling, so I drew most of it with my fingers 😅. Sorry for the roughness of the picture...Maybe I will redraw it one day

Darian glances around cautiously, through the sockets of his visor. He leans forward, his voice is hushed.

"I don't know who, or what he is, but I am plagued by a lingering suspicion. There is something about him that sets me ill at ease. I do not trust him one bit."

🍁 darian have you ever seen the stars? the moon? do you want to?

Darian retains his controlled demeanor, but a barely noticeable scoff escapes his nose.

"I'm afraid you're asking the wrong twin. I am guided solely by the light of the Erdtree; the moon and her stars have not seen me, and I have not seen them."

He sighs.

"Though, in that regard, I'll admit that I envy my brother for that unique experience;

But death looms around every corner. With someone as reckless as Devin, perhaps it is my fate to encounter the stars, eventually. I cannot say I anticipate it."

☀️Darian's nose wrinkles in disgust, brows furrowed. "Alberich..." He repeats, with venom. "I loathe that deranged heretic, he's grating, one of the few individuals that get on my nerves. I always seem to have the misfortune of running into him, I have an inkling he enjoys stepping on my toes."

🌙Even the mere mention of Godwyn makes Devin's eye twitch, a contemptuous little curve to his chapped lips. "Yes, the Prince of Death, the source of it all." He lets out a short, quiet laugh, "He must meet a proper fate. Soon enough, that ghoul will see the wrath of the Golden Order."

🍁 + How are your survival skills? Are you a skilled hunter? Do you know how to build a campfire, and can you cook up a good jerky?

Darian tilts his head to the side, visibly thinking, even despite the stoic and unmoving expression of his gold-plated visor.

"I travel often, and presently, alone, so my skills in survival are acceptable; and yes, that entails knowing how to start a fire. Had I not been an exceptional hunter, the Beast Clergyman would not have recruited me."

Behind his visor, he squints. "Jerky... like dried meat?"

The Hunter hums.

"I would not consider it 'good'. The fetor of decay is pungent, it clings to my being. There is good reason why I am not complimented on my meal preparation, and it is because every dish is lightly seasoned with the stench of Death. I consume to survive, not to enjoy."
