Best Daddy Ever! Dad!Levi x Mom!Reader : Modern AU
A/N: This is a drabble that I wrote early last year but never posted it anywhere, so I decided to post it here because why not?
Warnings: none, just fluff and Levi being an awesome daddy
Summary: Little Isabella wants a sleepover, but the kids are nervous to meet her father.
I'm home!", your daughter says as she races through the front door. Every time you see her she's like a split imagine of your husband. Jet black hair, with sharp grayish blue eyes. The only thing she got from you is your nose, which she thinks is absolutely adorable on her and completes her look.
"Hey my princess!" Levi says as he embraces her in a hug on the couch. You look at her and stretch your arms out.
“Hey! Where's my hug?" You say in a sarcastic way. She's always been attached to Levi ever since she was born. Once a daddy's girl, always a daddy's girl. She suddenly pulls off of him and has a guilty and twisted look on her face.
"I suggested the sleepover we came up with last week and they all said no because they're scared of daddy." She says softly.
You and Levi look at each other. Of course. Everyone judges Levi because of his injuries. He lost sight in an eye, two fingers on a hand, scars on his face, and his left leg was messed up, so he isn't able to walk anymore. As Isabel grew older, you taught her about what happened to him and how it's not something to be ashamed of. But, today was different. She cared about her dad and what people had to say about him, even though they've only heard what he looks like, and not actually seen him. Kids and their imaginations huh.
“Who cares what they think? The sleepover isn't about me, it's about you guys.... And I'm and actually a nice guy." He mutters.
Isabel giggles a bit and smiles. "Okay I'll convince them."
The day came for the sleepover. It was a Friday afternoon and the three girls rode the bus with Isabel home.
Levi decided to dress nicely than most days, to give off a good impression.
“I'm kinda nervous. Eight year olds can be scary and too brutal. Say whatever is on their mind." Levi says.
You walk up to him and fix the collar on his shirt. "You'll be just fine. I thought it didn't matter?" You kiss him on his forehead and he hums.
All of a sudden you hear a bunch of giggling outside the door and knocking. You open the door to see Isabel and three other girls, Grace, Emily and Morgan.
“Well hello ladies! It's nice to meet you!" You say with a bubbly smile.
They all say hi back and you usher them into the house. But, the closer they get to the living room, they slow down. You finally realized why. Levi. They started whispering.
You get in front of them and say, " Don't be shy guys come on in! He won't bite I swear" you giggle as you talk.
They all creep in and he's sitting on the couch, scrolling on his phone and his head instantly pops up.
You already saw it coming. They all gasp very loud and rush towards him, examining every single detail of him.
"Where are your fingers?"
"Wow so Isabel wasn't lying when she said he was short." Morgan says. You giggle at her comment and he glares at you.
"See guys, I told you he's not scary. He's very nice! And the best dad ever!" Isabel says proudly. Oh, yes she loves her daddy. Levi hugs her softly and thanks her for those words.
“He shall be our test subject." Grace says, looking menacingly at the girls. They all agree in unison and next thing you know he's gone in the playroom.
"Well that was an eventful night, yeah?" He says as he watches you put leftovers from dinner up.
"Yes Princess Ackerman it was very eventful." You say in a mocking tone giggling. Levi has a tiara, pink and purple eyeshadow, and tons, tons of lipstick on that's been smudged from them trying different shades.
"This is exactly what I get for buying her that stupid makeup set." He mumbles.
You squat down and give his a kiss and take the tiara off. "Well you're officially the best dad ever so being a princess has its perks."
You two then stroll off upstairs, ready to prepare for bed, snuggle up and prepare for the chaos to come tomorrow morning.
