Immortal city, known for it’s vampire dillema and zombie crisis, was a place the vampire slayer had his sights on for quite some time. The Daywalker stalked the streets, targeting blood banks and safe houses, clutching his blade and pistol with a readiness to strike down and slay any undead creature that would dare prey on humanity’s defenseless.
It wasn’t long ago that he was fighting alongside Luke Cage and the Mighty Avengers battling a formidable organization called, DEATHWALKERS. Though it’s been weeks long since past that he was among the pack, Blade remained on friendly terms with the group. It was smart business for as it concerned him.
Through the corner of his dark shades, the grim faced slayer witnessed unsual movements from the rooftop. Busy streets aren’t this time wasn’t unusual, free running rooftop people were.“ The hell is that?” He murmured disgruntled.
Blade sprinted to the rooftop, fingers curled around his blade.“ The hell you think you’re doing in my city?” Blade asked the woman.“ Stop moving and talk to me.”
She spun around to see a large guy, sunglasses on his face. “Your city? I don’t see your name on it anywhere, and this seems like a really big place, you can’t possibly know every single person here” She snapped.
She tensed up, preparing to fight. She was in a different world, for all she knew, this really could be his city, and who knows, maybe the guy is really popular. He looked really intimidating. She had taken out bigger guys though. “Don’t make the mistake of fucking with me, how about you just turn around and kindly, fuck off” She hisses.
She would die before admitting she was scared, something about this guy unnerved her, she didn’t know what it was exactly though.
She learned the hard way not to ever show them your scared. She had been forced to push back her fear. She couldn’t say she was unhappy to be in a different world. Anything was better than living in the world she had come from.
But it seemed all worlds had their assholes.

She knew that ice.. just wasn’t her. Not anymore.
“Anger and hate have their place, but they can’t rule over you. It’s painful for you and for everyone around you.” Her voice was still soothing. “You can be nice or kind but still have boundaries–and if someone crosses them then you are in the right for cutting them off or telling them what they did wrong. For example, what happened with Ino. It wasn’t right for her to call you.. but it also wasn’t right for you to deck her. It would have been more appropriate to tell her to shut up or close her mouth, or ‘don’t speak to me that way’.”
“Being soft isn’t an invitation for you to become a doormat, or for people to walk all over you. There are situations where you can’t be, or can’t show it and that’s okay. But if you would want to, that’s your decision. If you would like to try, then that’s up to you.”
Her hands fell to her lap and she nodded. “Those who grew up in happy households do take it for granted. They’re very sure of themselves and it almost feels like entitlement on their parts. Especially to those who haven’t had the same experience.”
“Regardless of whether they deserve it or not, they have it. But.. eventually, everyone can be happy, or at least content.”
It had taken Atria a long time to recognize that the absence of hate, of fury, of despair was happiness.
“Hinata, I see this potential in you. If you would trust me, I would guide you, or at least help you.”
Deck her? She did more than deck her, the woman now wore dentures and had had to have her jaw wired shut, she had mangled her. “That is just it, when she said those words..I..I couldn’t control myself, I don’t even remember much, I remember she said those words then the next thing I remember..they were pulling me off her, her face was all bloody” She said, quietly. Hinata had not only a bad temper but her anger was so bad, she could easily be triggered and her body reacted on it’s own.
“I trust you..I don’t want to be this way, I am tired...so tired, all this anger and hate makes me tired..but I don’t know how to get rid of it” She says, honestly. She had not been able to talk like this, she had no friends, she couldn’t trust anyone, until she came along.
Anyone angered her and she always reacted immediately. She needed to get to a place that she wasn’t triggered.
The only people that she didn’t fight off were her father and cousin, she had done that once and they had beaten her within an inch of her life. Fear choked her when it came to them. She had then trained hard, had gotten stronger, and still she froze. She bottled up all her hate and anger with them, then unleashed it on others.
But she wasn’t there anymore. She was here, in this world. Her father and cousin weren’t monsters. But tell that to her mind and body, she sees them and freezes.
She dreaded facing them, even in this world.
charaisuke:
“ we’re having a sweet tooth? ” allowing a hint of impishness to seep through the tonality of his voice as he bestowed unto her an inquiry, the philander’s figure found rest at a chair— one placed adjacent to where the hyuga’s heiress was sitting. in sooth, ‘twas a temerarious maneuver, even for he— to invade someone’s personal space ; in particular, someone known to be as savage && combative as she. per contra, o’, it could only drag him closer to her, for she ne'er has been subjected to sasuke’s charms, which the latter would always perceived it as a provocation to test his ability to alternate shifts in his coquetry.
“ i saw you were alone. i thought you could make use of some good company. ” a verbalization was given to hinata, paying little mind to potential erratic demeanour that could be at play ( he was used to it, for the most part since he had conclusively presumed that 'twas one of the hyuga’s idiosyncrasies, considering her cousin was… bizarre ) with an amused mien etched 'pon his features.
“Oh I see, and you took it upon yourself to grace me with your disgusting presence, lucky me” She bit out. She banged her glass on the table, glaring daggers at Sasuke. She wasn’t blind, she found him georgeous just like most women did, but unlike all the other women, he wasn’t her type, she liked her men darker, colder. She could easily fall victim to his charms, it was a constant battle not to , she would die before admitting it though, I mean the guy was hot with a capital T.
“Mind going somewhere else before the flies ascend” She snaps as she drinks more of her coffee. She could easily get up and walk to another table, but this table was her usual, and why should she be the one to leave?
astra-stellaris:
“Like I said, I can only use a little ice here or there,” Atria demurred, “Nothing like an ice-style jutsu. Little things, like turning the water in my glass to ice. I can’t really use it in a fight unless I create ice underneath someone’s feet.”
“I had a past before I joined the village a few years ago,” She found herself admitting, “My clan usually did private intelligence gathering. We would take missions that the other villages usually turned down–most of which were more brutal than I would like to mention in polite company. In particular, due to my kekkei-genkai, the land of clouds thought I was sneaking in, stealing their private jutsu and calling them my own. I applied to become the head of intelligence when it was needed, and I and my clan were accepted.”
It took a moment for her to collect herself at Hinata’s question. “For most people, the answer is no. Human nature has negative traits so it’s not something that can be so all the time. I still get jealous, petty, annoyed, the same as everyone else.”
“Some people do, and some people don’t. A lot of it comes down to personal perspective and judgement. If I see someone get a promotion that hasn’t worked for it, I’m definitely not happy about it. Or if I see someone get away with something bad and I know it, but can’t outright prove anything, I’m not happy. There’s a balance between being compassionate, giving and happy to those who deserve it and those who don’t.”
“But generally, my goal in the people I speak to is to at least teach them, to see them grow, to see them become themselves. It’s my personal happiness. There is injustice in the world and you’re allowed to hate it, but you can’t let that hate overcome you.”
This woman really sounded so amazing to her. “Well maybe with practice your could extend your skills in the ice nature, even though it isn’t a jutsu” She said. Hinata wished she had skills like her, but maybe it was a good thing she didn’t. She wasn’t at a place yet she could be trusted with such great power.
“All I feel is anger and hate” she said, a frown on her face. It was hard. To not let it overcome her, it already had it seemed. “I don’t like feeling all this..but I feel it protects me, nice and kind people usually get taken advantage of, I fear..I fear growing soft.” she said looking down in her lap. She had never told anyone that before.
She felt as though she could tell her anything. It was unusual but also scary. She wasn’t used to this. She didn’t even know where to start.
She had major issues with her temper as well, she mostly acted before she even realized she was acting out. Ino for example. As soon as she had called Hinata a whore, the next thing Hinata knew was she was on top of her bashing her face in.
It was all about balance, balancing out emotions, something she couldn’t do, not as of yet.
“There are a lot of people who don’t deserve the happiness they have. They also take it for granted” Hinata said, bitterness laced her words.

Hinata had no idea how she ended up in this foreign world, she had awakened in some city, well she didn’t really know what a city was, she knew country only. The hardness underneath her was also foreign. Her hands touching concrete, which was not something she knew of, she knew only of grass, dirt, wood, carpet. Her pupiless eyes take in everything around her, so much that she didn’t recognize.
“Byakugan” She mutters. Veins protrude around her eyes, she sees people but not one of them has chakra. She deactivates her dojutsu and stands. She quickly darts in between two buildings and runs up the side onto the high roof. She peers over to see moving machines with wheels and people scattered about like ants.
She had never felt so alone. She was in a different dimension, of that she was sure. There was a small bit of relief, it mean she wouldn’t have to deal wih her abusive family.
astra-stellaris:
“Ruling the world? That would be an interesting time, but it would be so much work–” Atria wouldn’t solely be against the idea–but it would cause another war, which she wasn’t willing to do. “And so much killing–that’s a hard no from me.”
“What I want is to be happy, Hinata, and what makes me happy is seeing people grow, seeing them change into someone that they never thought they would be. Life is very important to me and seeing people live instead of just existing.. is the best I could ask for, honestly.”
“My bingo book entry calls me the Lightning Sovereign. My mother’s family, the Kurokawa, is originator of the Yuki clan from Mist. However, their clan can inherit the ability, male or female. Ours is only passed down in the female line, from grandmother to mother to daughter, etc. Currently, I’m the head of two clans.” Which to her, was a lot. There were days that she would have preferred to rest but instead had to play referee to two warring factions that both hated her.
“I can passably manipulate water and ice without handsigns, but the elements I’m most gifted in are fire and lightning. I can show you once you’re settled in.”
Atria opened a jug of water and poured it into two empty glasses on the table. “But–I would prefer to erect some defenses in your mind, just in case some curious eyes tend to wander where they shouldn’t. Just to protect you and the information you hold–I won’t be going anywhere near your memories or your thoughts– just setting up a few traps at the entrance.”
Hinata kept finding her more and more interesting. “I have fire and lightening chakra nature, but..to also have others, especially ice!” Hinata looked at her with total awe. She knew ruling the world would be a lot of work and killing, besides she had been half joking.
“You are in the bingo book?” She asked, her eyes wide. She smirks, “You are quite the bad girl, and you come off as someone super nice”
She would love to see Astra manipulate the elements, and without hand signs, it was amazing. She nodded and eyes the glasses of water. Hinata found she trusted Astra, maybe not completely ..yet, but trusted her enough. She had never trusted anyone so quickly. Maybe it was because she had been through something similar, or maybe just the air about her, Hinata didn’t quite know.
Hinata was also scared. Scared to let herself get close to another person. The one person she had gotten close to had died. She would just have to see how things went.
She still found it odd that she loved to see others happy, Hinata got jelous and angry when she saw others happy. She had always found that normal, but maybe it wasn’t.
She was starting to consider things she had never considered before. Which begged her to ask: “Astra..is it normal to..to want to see others happy?”
astra-stellaris:
Atria managed to get her and Hinata onto the road behind the cafe, and she led Hinata to a medium-sized, traditional home close to the Hokage tower. Twin magnolia trees grew at the entranceway and the scent was very welcoming to Atria–it reminded her of her home in lower fire country. As they entered, a young woman bowed low and murmured a quiet, “Welcome home, Lord Stellaris. I will send refreshments up to your rooms–” Her eyes darted to Hinata quickly, and then back to Atria. The door slid closed behind them, latching with a quiet security.
“Sayuri, that’s entirely unnecessary.” The chiding rebuke was gentle. “But I would prefer that you don’t tell any of the others that I’ve come home early. I have business to discuss that doesn’t concern them. Of course, if they force their way through, I won’t be too mad at you. This is Hinata, and you will serve her as you do me.”
The quiet acceptance was all the answer she got and Atria led Hinata up a set of stairs and into another room. Once the door was shut behind her, Atria sat down at a low table and motioned for Hinata to join her.
“My clan has what we call true sight. Illusions do not work on us, but conversely, we cannot cast them. Should we meet someone’s eyes and maintain it, while using chakra, we can see someone’s life from start to finish. We have to meet their eyes the entire time.”
She paused, “And the main tell is the memories starting as early as you can remember–and you feel as if you’d be going through them again. Your brain wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. But on the flipside, that person will also be experiencing it as you have.”
“It’s an awful technique, used for interrogations. I happen to use it as a therapeutic tool to help people with a bad past experience. Some members of my clan have issues respecting people’s privacy and should any of them harm you, I will relieve them of their duties.”
And that wasn’t even getting into her kekkei-genkai, passed down matrilineally.
Hinata eyed Sayuri a bit wearily, but said nothing. Once they were alone, Hinata turned to Atria.
What a totally awesome kekki genki, she thought. She was really curious now about her and her clan. How she wished she could do that. She smirks. “Do you realize the power you hold, me and you could team up together and rule this world” She said, only half joking. She wasn’t worried about others using it on her if it required eye contact, she could easily close her eyes and still be able to see, with her byakugan. Sadly if Hinata had this power she would use it on pretty much everyone. She wasn’t a good person, not yet anyways.
“You have so much power, you choose to help others, but..you could get anything you want” Hinata stated. She knew all the reasons Atria had stated, on why she wanted to help others but, now she was really confused, now that she knew the power she wielded. “So what other powers do you have?”She asked, genuinly curious.
Hinata wasn’t just curious about her due to her powers but as a whole, this woman had wanted to truly help her, she had given her word to protect her. Hinata didn’t take that lightly.
She was was also hoping they could really become close. Hinata had never had a friend, except menma, but, he wasn’t around anymore and though they had been friends, they were never really what you would call close.
astra-stellaris:
“Healing does not mean becoming soft–or being hurt easily. In the beginning it hurts a lot. It’s very time consuming and it honestly feels worse than when it first happens because looking back on it, from a new perspective…” She let the sentence trail off, her eyes kind, “But eventually, you’re able to forge healthier, new relationships with people that will respect you, your ideals and your boundaries.”
“People are ever-changing, the same as life is. No one is perfect and ‘fixed’ is a subjective term that should never be applied to another human being. We are more than just tools, we’re more than a simple problem.”
“And–it doesn’t matter if they like you. As long as you are yourself, you will have people that like you for you. If someone else doesn’t, they’re missing on a great friend and quite frankly, they’re undeserving of your time or patience.”
Atria, once more, offered her hand. The only thing standing between them and an escape was a tall fence. Even with Atria’s elaborate-looking dress, she would be able to get them away quickly. She wouldn’t have issues with bringing Hinata there, either–she at least assumed the other was still a shinobi.
“Take hold of my hand and I’ll bring you to my home. We can discuss this there, and potentially, make a plan that will help you the most. I’d rather.. explain what my kekkei-genkai are before you meet the rest of my clan so I can at least give you some amount of protection from it.” Her eyes flashed. She truly hated how they acted–as if no one else deserved privacy.
Her hand hung in the air, an offer. “I will do my best for you, Hinata. I promise.”
Hinata deperately wanted to believe her words. She of course was scared, scared to hope, to trust, even. She was skeptical too. Hinata had learned long ago that if something sounded too good to be true, it was. She was wondering what the catch was here.
“I can’t imagine anyone respecting me..” She says, her brows knit.
She had no choice though. She had to listen to her, and follow her, to her surprise though, she wanted to listen to her. As shinobi, a life was hard for most, but there were few that were subjected to what Astra and her have been through. To meet another who knows what it was like, it was rare. This time she gingerly takes her hand, and she listens to her words. She can’t help but tense, her heart rate picking up, it was anxiouness of the unkown.
“Your clan..what do you mean protection..they will want to harm me?” She asked, more anxious now. She actually knew nothing about this woman’s clan.
What was she heading into? She gave Sakura a threatening look as she and Astra headed out.
Sakura was hell bent on getting Hinata back for what she did to Ino, but she knew now wasn’t the time.
astra-stellaris:
Atria’s hand snapped out, fizzling with chakra–suddenly the cafe seemed more quiet. No one could hear their conversations anymore. This was suddenly something that Atria knew how to deal with, as she’d seen it with herself far too often.
“I made the choice to offer kindness to people that deserve it,” Atria explained, “My kindness is a constant choice, and is not a weakness. There’s bravery to showing others something that most hardly ever experience, and if someone else takes my kindness for weakness,” Atria nearly sneered the word, “Then pity them.”
She paused, taking another sip of her coffee. It was more something to steel herself and ready herself for the next part of the conversation.
“No one deserves to be treated the way I was and if it’s within my power to save someone from that, if it’s within my power to to keep them safe, if it’s within my range and influence, I will do so. Uncompromisingly.” She breathed in, “To me, life is beautiful and to see someone’s will, their fire, their life, be slowly sapped out of them is the worse thing I can imagine someone else going through. If someone happens to fall right in my hands and they’re hurt, I will help them and give them the tools needed to continue with a better life.”
She offered Hinata her hand, laying it across the table. “That life is over for you now. My word is my clan’s law, the same as my blood, and my blood is my bond to this village. I joined to help those around me. I will take my privilege, this village’s privilege and make it your own.”
She saw the hand movement, the silence now surrounded them. She wondered if that was a kekki genki or just a jutsu that could be learned. She would love to learn that one.
Her words made sense..Hinata thought about it and wondered, if it was in her power to save someone from the fate she had endured...would she? Hinata didn’t think so. Not yet, not the person she was now. Still there was something in her now, she still couldn’t really put a name to it, She had felt nothing but anger, hate and fear for so long, a new emotion was hard to identify. She wanted to understand, and this was the first female she didn’t hate.
She looked at the hand on the table that was near hers, she slightly stiffened, she wasn’t sure why she had extended it. What was she supposed to do? She looked at it, as if it were a poisonous cobra about to strike. She was glad that the hokage had assigned this person to her case, she had a feeling, that had it been anyone else, it would have ended badly.
A man, well she probably would of insulted him or maybe had tried to sleep with him, it all depended. She felt the only love she did have in her life was sex. Neji had told her it was his way of showing her love, but it had felt so wrong..she preferred to be shown that sort of love by someone else.
She also found it interesting that this woman didn’t think it weak to help others, she had put it in a way that Hinata was hard pressed to believe her.
“People do not like me..most people here, anyways. I don’t..I don’t know if I can be fixed. I am afraid of..becoming too soft, that is how you get hurt” She said, averting her eyes.
She saw out of the corner of her eye, Sakura walked in. Sakura had been furious with her ever sense she had wounded Ino. “We better get out of here, what is your plan? What are we going to do first?” She asked curiously.
