Seungyong and Hwan were right. It was possible that the girls were still sleeping, considering it was a day off and she hadn’t heard about any plans, but it was better to message them before they woke up than to have them panicking because they knew nothing about her. Especially Ruri, who would probably forget she had left and go to her room, only to find her bed empty and no breakfast ready for them on the table. Saeun grabbed her phone and took a selfie with a finger heart. She typed a quick message and sent it, throwing her phone to the bed. She busied herself unpacking, even if it was just for a few days. It would give her a better access to her clothes and everything she would need. It also made the room look nicer, not just like a place where they were staying for a while, but a somewhere she could relax.
“It’s fine, I like this one.” She didn’t like big rooms when she was sleeping alone anyway, so used to her roommate back home. Once everything was ready, or at least the way she wanted, she picked a nicer outfit, laying it out on the bed. The weather had been cooler back in Seoul, but now here it was warmer and she wanted to be comfortable. She walked out of her room and followed Hwan’s voice, curious to see the room in person. And it didn’t disappoint – it was as gorgeous as she had seen on picture, too big and with a beautiful view. “I’m happy with the one I have. You keep it, oppa. You do a lot for us, so maybe it’s about time we spoil you.” This trip was for them to enjoy life a little without having to worry about other people but themselves. Saeun knew it wouldn’t be easy, they were used to it, but they deserved it.
Then she turned around and walked a few steps to Seungyong’s room. It was just like hers, if only a different color on the walls. “I was thinking we should make a list of the things we need, deciding whenever we’re going out for a meal and don’t count it. Just so we don’t buy too much and don’t have any food left when it’s time to leave.” It was five of them and only three days, a little bit less, so they wouldn’t need much but snacks and maybe some things for a light breakfast or a late dinner. @vldseungyong
Hwan’s room would be grand; he’d seen the pictures online, and was thus uninterested. On tour, when they were sleeping in hotel rooms, he often got the biggest one, if only so everyone could meet up in there. Now it was only the three of them and their staff, and they could just spread out over the living room instead. Seungyong much preferred smaller spaces when he was only staying temporarily: it was easier to familiarise himself with them, and he didn’t mind walking a few extra steps to reach the bathroom. That Hwan was so shocked about it was a surprise. He supposed in some ways it made sense, but he’d never thought much on it; maybe it was because they were so used to sharing rooms that the question of who would stay where had never arisen, but now that they were faced with it, the easy acceptance – much different from the way Particle would be fighting, right now – was surprising.
“We get a key each, you’re getting the room. It’s only fair.” Seungyong couldn’t help but grin, leaning against the doorframe of his own as he watched the others move about. While Hwan settled in and Saeun unpacked, he pulled his phone out of his pocket, ignoring a good half of the texts that had found their way into his inbox and sending Minho a ‘good morning’ with an exclamation point, and then, as an afterthought, a reminder to eat fruit with his cereal.
He lifted his head as he saw Sauen approach from his periphery, humming in agreement. “We can just shop on a day-to-day basis – for today, we’ll probably eat out for lunch somewhere, but I don’t know about dinner. And we can get something for breakfast tomorrow morning, and then see where we’re at after that. The store is in walking distance, it should work out.” He could understand her concern over leaving perishables behind, but there was no way to anticipate when they’d eat out or order takeout over the next two days without knowing the restaurants in the area. “We can get coffee somewhere, and then figure out where to go from there. See how we’ll spend the day, too.” @hwanvld
when he was granted the master bedroom once more, hwan took that as the final confirmation. much like the rest, he wasn’t particular spoiled about having a certain room but now that he was allowed the best one, there was a bit of childlike excitement. his feet moved towards the bed, placed right in the center, and he dropped his luggage on top. similar to seungyong, he didn’t bother unpacking. it was simpler to just dig through his luggage whenever desired, than wasting his breath on trying to organize and arrange.
upon saeun’s voice, hwan peered over his shoulder. similar amazement mirrored her gaze and he couldn’t help but smile. though it dropped with a playful scoff at the other’s words that seemed almost foolish. the rapper did nothing compared to the others. he was the last deserving of being spoiled- but of course, saeun was an angel from heaven. “such lies, but i’ll take it.” he responded back, cheekily. when she turned around to head out, hwan decided to deal with his baggage afterwards and followed saeun into the hallway. he stopped just behind the shorter, hovering at the back and glancing at seungyong as the other spoke up. both opinions were valid, it was better to be prepared, but winging things was also fun.
“jeju is known for their seafood restaurants. there’s a few nearby, if we wanted to do that for dinner. we can also head to a local bakery for breakfast tomorrow.” hwan pitched in. he had done his research on the plane, alongside their van ride down and made sure he mapped out a good portion of the area. although he knew seungyong had trusted him with making all the food plans, he wasn’t quite sure the likes and dislikes saeun had when it came to eating. “there’s also a family-owned place nearby and the kimchi jjigae seems to be a bomb.” hwan then added as he remembered that was one of saeun’s favorite dish. @vldsaeun
