She’d heard the footsteps from yards away — just couldn’t be bothered to move away from the girl clomping her way over to her. Despite the fact that the footsteps didn’t sound familiar ( no spy in her right mind would ever let herself be announced like that. it would be too dangerous. ) and Cammie was revising her chemical warfare notes, she didn’t move. If worse came to worse, she could hold her own. Though she did shut her notebook as the stranger came closer.

But she’s still surprised when the girl comes to her… of all people.

”Can I help you?”

Rose knew how to disguise her footsteps, how to make herself hidden and unseen. She just saw no point in bothering with it when she knew she was in a place surrounded by wards, a place that was supposed to be safe. Besides the Guardians on staff around the place, the humans here, too, had been trained to be deadly. She knew that if anything happened, they would be prepared, so she saw no need to bother with other precautions.

Now she was making her way over to one of the humans, note in hand.

”I was told to give this to you.”
