Jenny isn’t initially a trusting person. She’s weary, and will continue to be until you can prove to her you deserve her attention– that’s just her attention. Her interest. It’s a bit more difficult to gain her trust. You have to be there for her, through thick and thin, and have her back at any given moment. (The ultimate display of her trust in you is her crying. As simple as it may seem, those she trusts more than anyone else, she cries in front of. Ken is a fantastic example of this.)

As far as family goes, while she still loves her parents, she can’t bring herself to go to them again, after the way they reacted to her returning for a visit with Leech.

The Academy students, as well as the faculty, she sees as her family. Completely– She turns to them whenever she feels the need to. (ie. Calling Hank to inform him of the idea of infiltrating the Masters of Evil to take them out from the inside.) Jenny would gladly put her life on the line for them.

This also applies to the Runaways.
