Thought I’d throw together a quick reference pic of the differences between double gloss, triple gloss and dead flat (swipe to see close ups in that order). This is under pretty direct and unflattering lighting, with no editing other than background erasure. The main difference between the double and triple gloss will be the smoothness of the finish. The triple gloss really smooths out the coat and it lays flat like glass. Think luxury car factory finish vs non-luxury car factory finish. The dead flat has zero shine at all. We use the absolute flattest flat on the market and it has a smooth texture to it. Which is your preferred finish?
