Should art be funded?
I believe it should be funded. Art is a very integral part of society and there are many things that need it in some form in order for it to function properly. Artist should be more appreciated and talked about regularly. I feel like artists get no love or attention until they do something grand and buzz worthy and then immediately after that you hear nothing about them again. Also people only think art and artists are people that draw and paint but art is an expansive field. I feel as though the artists that don't get enough love out of the field are the drawers, photographers, painters, and sculptors. Their work is seen as not as important compared to the other fields of art, so these artists tend to struggle more when it comes to having a living income coming from the sales of their works. Very few artists actually can make a living wage from just their art, but I feel as though Art should have a form of funding to help them out more.
What role does the artist have in society?
The arts play a very important role in the world as a whole. It has been around for so long and was even used as a way to communicate with hieroglyphs and paintings in caves during the times of cavemen. Art comes in more that just drawing forms though. The arts make up everything from architecture, literature, theater, sculpting, motion pictures, movies, music, and more. It is an integral part of everything we do, see, hear, and use today. Imagine if we didn't have any form of visual media. Times Square would be barren, there would be no giant billboards, no plays, or no ball drops to ring in each new year. Times Square wouldn't be as big as it is now and no one would really talk about it. Now imagine the world without music, which is in every form of media around. Everything from commercials, elevators, & hold lines on phones, to little jingles played before an announcement is made in places like subways and airports. Music is known to bring peace and comfort to many people and it also uplifts spirits. How would the world be now without music?
Artist Self Care Reminders
To all my artists that are drawing right now remember:
Unclench your jaw, relax your shoulders & neck
Take some time to get up and stretch your legs and back muscles
Do some eye exercises
Drink some water loves, you gotta stay hydrated
DON’T FORGET TO EAT!!
It doesn’t look like sh*t/trash. You aren’t done with it yet.
We are our biggest critics so whatever negative thought you just had about your work is not true. Stop doubting yourself.
Marco Grassi
Marco Grassi is an Italian painter with the finest brush stroke. Marco paints down to the pores on a person's face, and only under a microscope have we been able to see his brushstroke.

The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.

Hyperrealism art is a deep love of mine when it comes to art styles that I do. I love to get my hands dirty with charcoal and graphite powder as I spend hours and hours on a drawing.
I made this account to share and appreciate the incredible gift and talent that comes from doing Hyperrealism art. I also would love to have deep discussions about the Hyperrealism community and the negative views some have of the art style as a whole.
