In 2019, a young Nigerian artist named Eli Waduba Yusuf who draws portraits of people created a black-and-white pencil drawing of one of his favorite comedians, Kevin Hart. It was one of his many original hyperrealism portraits, but this sketch, which took him two weeks to complete, was extra special because it featured his idolâs image. Hyperrealism art is a deep love of mine when it comes to art styles that I do. I love to get my hands dirty with charcoal and graphite powder as I spend hours and hours on a drawing.Â

Photorealistic paintings by Joshua Suda Artist Joshua Suda creates amazingly real paintings. Heâs armed with a drive to create and apparently a lot of patience and a steady hand. For him it is rather meditation to create his large scale body of works which are often up to 4 meters high. Suda explains: âSometimes I praise it, sometimes itâs my scapegoat. Itâs a yin and yang thing going on. Whatever it is, there is this drive to get the cerebral into the physical without the ultimate concept ever fully unveiled; and that is why I paint. Iâm like a dog chasing a ball but the difference between the dog and I; is that I never catch the damn ball!â
