my piece for the @hyrulefashion zine! I had a lot of fun going out of my comfort zone with this, especially thinking up the descriptions 💁‍♀️💃

I can finally share my piece for @hyrulefashion! (Leftovers are going on right now and the contents are filled to the brim with talent!)

I have really loved imagining these three in a modern setting! In my zine piece they are in Kakariko taking care of all of the sweet strays.

I actually have a lot of sketches of these three in this sort of AU, and even though this art is so old now I have a lot of gratitude for the practice these pieces gave me while I was on my stylization journey.

A Wind-Grieved Ghost discusses the influence of medieval Noh theater on the striking costume worn by Ganondorf in The Wind Waker. I explain the symbolism of Ganondorf’s gorgeously patterned robes and argue that the sartorial allusions to Noh theater serve to characterize Ganondorf as a frightening yet tragic ghost displaced from the vanished kingdom of Hyrule.
