I hate these glasses so much. They keep falling off. They get fogged whenever I am drinking something hot. They get smudged so easily, I have stopped counting the amount of time I have to clean them in a day. 

… They get in the way of kissing Wei Ying…

I am already considering Lasik surgery so I will not have to deal with the inconvenience of wearing these daily.

I have been told that I will get used to them fast enough, and I am trying to be patient, but it is getting more and more difficult as my patience is getting tested multiple times a day. 

… The only perk of this is that Wei Ying likes them. Really likes them. It helps, when I am feeling like throwing the damn things in the garbage. The headaches and the squinting were uncomfortable, but somehow this feels worse. 

Mianmian says I am being overdramatic about them. Huaisang agrees. He also wears glasses occasionally just for the look of it, which I still cannot wrap my head around now that I know how it feels. 

…I hate that, as I’m writing this, I still see the frame in my field of vision. I did not choose the right kind of glasses, I should have taken a wider frame…

I would like to take this moment to remind the world about how cute I am. Like I am a legit snack.

I may be a happily married man but that just makes me a forbidden snack!

Y'all want me but only Lan Zhan gets to have me.

Because damn if he isn’t the full course meal.

On a side note… okay so I need to tell y'all a story. Ghosty and I went on a date night last night to the movies right?

And we got all dolled up and extra handsome (I know is it possible? Yes. it is. We do get more handsome.)

And well we decided movie first then food so we don’t have to do that awkward time watching thing to wrap up our meal and could just take our time.

So I decide to flirt a bit. I should know better by now. Somehow flirting with Lan Zhan ALWAYS backfires these days.

I look over to him as we get out of the car and say “I don’t know if I’ll be able to sneak you in.”

And he looks all confused like why would you need to sneak me in? We’re paying for the tickets. We’re bajillionairs and don’t need to worry about that.

So I grin at him and say “They don’t let snacks into the theater.”

And yesssss Look at them pink ears. Operation successful! I win! So we watch our movie and I’m all smug.

I should have realized I was in trouble when he didn’t say anything.

He let me sit pretty on that allllll the way until dinner.

I asked him what he was thinking of ordering and he said he wasn’t sure.

Which was odd because Lan Zhan is actually like really decisive. So I look up from the menu to look at him and he has this smug ass expression on his face.

“I’m not sure I need anything since I already have a full course meal right here.”

I don’t remember most of dinner after that but I do remember quite enjoying “dessert” when we got home ;)

Nie Huaisang would like it to be stated for the record as follows: One could not expect him to bring someone as rigid and fancy as Lan Zhan into someplace as low class as a McDonalds

And he would not have been willing to face the wrath of Lan Qiren should he have chosen to try.

He claims that he would be incredibly surprised to find out that Lan Zhan had even set foot in anything so low as an Olive Garden or the like ever in his life as the man would only be seen in a place that had no less than 3 Micheline Stars.

I for one find these to be rather weak excuses, but shall let him off with a warning for now.

… Well, I *have* been trying to impress and woo you. Although the choice of the restaurant had nothing to do with it. I was not aware that the presence of a private room was something abnormal in any given restaurants.

I had a talk with A-Yuan. Thanks for calling me to let me know he had my phone. I’m sorry you had to be the parent even when you were off at Xichen-ge’s place.

I know I’m not much of a dad but I figured I’d at least be able to pull off babysitting for a few hours.

I sat A-Yuan down and explained that he wasn’t in trouble but not to do that kind of thing again and that my phone and apps should only be used with our permission and supervision and all that stuff yadda yadda so on and so forth. He got a bit sniffly but he cheered up when I told him he could pick where we ordered out food because of course I burned dinner again.

You got me that nice flameless stove and I can’t even use it right. Sorry I made you waste your money ahh…

Anyway I changed my password since now the entire internet apparently knows how to unlock my phone now. I’m not sure how he found out the password… or knew how to @ you. I didn’t ask. I didn’t want to upset him more and it wasn’t really the point of the talk.

Anyway just wanted to let you know that I think I was at least able to take care of that much. So hopefully you won’t have to worry and can enjoy your time with your brother.

I know I’m not much of a dad but I figured I’d at least be able to pull off babysitting for a few hours.
