28 Aug 16 // I MADE IT TO VATICAN CITY. Highlight of my Rome trip. The cheapo in me was even happier when I do not have to pay entrance fee because it was the last Sunday of the month. 27 Aug 16 // I GOT LOST. 😢 like not lost in the middle of the city but in the middle of nowhere. I was out from Rome city to visit more ruins and I wanted to make my way back. But somehow the bus i boarded was bringing me further and further away from the city. Alamak, something was amiss, I alighted immediately. The sun was shining relentlessly and there was no shelter. And the bus stop is the pole you see in the photo. Lucky me, we have google maps and the next bus towards city was just 10-15mins? 26 Aug 16 // I GOT SCAMMED. This guy came up to me with a rose and “gave” it to me. He then suggested I should take a photo and “volunteered” to help me with a photo which I tried to reject so many times. Yup, that is his finger at the lens. After everything, he ASKED FOR MONEY. I was terrified and lost, I didn’t know what to do and I GAVE HIM MONEY so he be gone. After he walked away, I realised the couple beside me had the exact encounter as me. All tricked/coerced to give them money WILLINGLY. Not a huge sum, 2 euros, but all I felt was anger and fear.. 26 Aug 16 // It was so crowded that Trevi Fountain was swallowed up by the sea of people. Despite the crowd, there was a proposal and everyone was cheering the couple on (not too sure if is romantic.
