"Then that explains why you haven’t see anyone. How are the menus coming?"
"As much as I love yarn, not really, no. It’s basically an indoor stationary biking class."
"They're good, I have three-quarters of the menu nearly finalized. Designs a whole other world."
"Stationary biking? Like, the bikes in the gym that a bunch of women use all the time, but it's a whole class? Does everyone just--cycle?"
       “Yes, yes it would be.”
       “And I’m sure you are but you never know what people could be saying behind closed doors. Rumors seem to spread like wildfire around here…”
"Rumors do seem to spread pretty fast, I have faith that no one would be rude though."
"I-uh--" Pause. "Why, have you heard anything? Or I guess, seen anyone not busy?"
"Interesting? No, not really. Productive? Somewhat. I’ve mainly been spending my time at work, watching old movies, or picking up a spinning class. The spinning class is a work in progress though, I’ve only been to two out of the five sessions."
"How about you? Has anything particularly fascinating happened in the life of Mr. Daniel Jones?"
"Absolutely not, been up to my elbows in an attempt to get menus out before Spring. But that's about all. Been cooped up in my apartment for what seems like forever."
"What's spinning class? With yarn and stuff like that?"
"Oh don’t worry, we’re going again next week. We liked it so much that it’s now going to be a weekly thing."
"Oh, good. No way I'm missing that one."
"No but really, have you been up to anything interesting Alena?"
"Well, it could be that or maybe it’s that you did something and now nobody wants to be around and/or associated with you anymore and you’re doomed to be forever alone."
"Wow, that would be depressing."Â
"I really hope that's not it. You've played cards with me, right, I think I'm a pretty nice guy."Â
"Didn’t you hear? We all went on a miniature golfing retreat with a man named Jerry to ring in the spring"
"Man, I missed something that fun? I'm good at miniature golf, I wish I'd have been able to go."Â
"This place feels pretty empty, maybe it's the change of season? Everyone out and about?"

@danielofjones: i honestly don't think you understand....i forgot all about my groceries and have a head of lettuce and milk in my fridge.
"Yeah. That couldn’t have been healthy."
"Yeah. I moved in a few weeks ago."
"I don't think it was a good choice, no. Oh, well welcome! I'm Daniel."
"-I guess you can say that." Kirk’s voice lowered into a whisper, his hands pulling at his sleeves of his sweater to hide the marks on his forearm.
"It’s a- I’ve just been busy with work lately."
"I know the feeling."Â
"What do you do for work again?"
"Eh?! Really? That’s intense."
"I know! It's ridiculous, but I'm out now and that's all that matters right?"Â
"You're probably pretty new right? Moved in while I was busy being a hermit?"
"You too? Guess it’s been a long time since we’ve talked huh?"
"Yeah it's been a while."
"Why haven't you been out of your apartment? Been as busy as I've been?"
"I feel like I haven't left my apartment in weeks."
Sebastian adjusted his arm so that it rested more firmly around Dan’s shoulders, shifting down on the couch and leaning more into the other man’s warmth. A small, content sigh left him without Seb realizing it.
A burst of laughter left Sebastian at Dan’s joke, but he contained it quickly so he wouldn’t jostle him off his chest. “You forget what I do for a living.” He quipped back, “I have to organize papers pretty much every day, and I have to wear gloves for that…” Seb could see a dull plastic lump sticking out of a gap in the cushions, and he grabbed at it to reveal a remote. He grinned and waved it slightly in the air. “D’you want to put something on?”Â
He couldn't imagine being any more comfortable than he was at the moment. The way Sebastian's chest rumbled with his laughter that was cut short made him smirk and he seemed satisfied with the answer. He was terribly curious how one decided they wanted to become a history major and work at a museum, though that seemed a question that could be asked any time and so he forgot about it for the time being.Â
Acknowledging the remote Daniel thought a moment before shrugging and taking it up from Sebastian. He turned the television on and slowly flipped through the channels. "Anything in mind?"
      Breathless laughter leaves Etta’s lips and she grins at her neighbour. “Your legs are longer.” She says, matter-of-factly, steadying her breathing. “I’m just small and able to turn much better.” She laughs again, and once she’s sure her breathing is good, and steps away from the bannister and holds out a hand to shake. “Good race.”
Daniel shrugs at the fact that his legs were longer, they were longer although she seemed much more fit in the area of legwork. He held a hand out mock-reluctantly to shake her's.
"You too, missy." After a moments pause he glances down the hallway for a moment before waving a hand toward the multiple apartment doors that we obviously not recognizable to him. "Lead the way."
