i just realized that matthew would be that kind of friend who wakes james up at 3am, climbing into his room through the window and would ask "i know we are parabatai–but do you like me as a friend?" and james would at first be completely honest with him and express how much matthew means to him but with the years he would just say "can you fucking let me sleep or i swear to the angel I'll go to the silent city myself and slay the parabatai rune I'll do it math don't test me" and matthew would say "yeah yeah i know but just answer the question–like i am your friend and i have your back but do you think of me as a friend-parabatai or like really the other half of your soul?"

how are your favs dealing with the pandemic?

- clace is doing ok but in serious chinese takeout withdrawal. clary had begun 12 new paintings during covid but has yet to finish any of them. they haven't had any new students between march 2020 and mid 2021 so their resident students are going a little stir crazy. also they might have conceived a pandemic baby but shhh.

- tessa and jem lived through life before antibiotics so they're watching the world go mad and just sharing a knowing look. a little concerned about mina lacking some social skills from only interacting with 2 victorians and a teenage boy for over a year now, but kit is confident she'll have the best sense of humor in her kindergarten class.

- catarina loss is fucking losing it. she's actually a nurse in the new york city health system and is going to go insane if she gets one more flock of college students in the er who all caught covid from the same party.

- malec is fine, but have been hosting a very exhausted catarina for dinner very frequently and are starting to lose hope in humanity from her hospital stories. magnus will always fix her a nice cocktail, though.

- luke and jocelyn are simply vibing. are you kidding me? these two are massive homebodies anyway and can stay inside for days on end without even meaning to. luke has the bookstore, so they're set for life.

- sizzy are in much the same state as clace on this and have spent long weekends in the institute before just to have company during this time. they've watched every single episode of star trek ever together during quarantine, even if izzy says she's not that into it, she totally is. she's also started cutting simon's hair during this, with varying degrees of success.

bonus: the los angeles institute exists 2 inches away from anarchy at any given time, held together by the glue of helen and aline's leadership but man, mundanes setting fire to the state after a gender reveal party is really testing downworld-mundane relations

I know that she will rightly get praise for putting these in but I’d like to think that these are things she agrees with personally.
