She seemed like a creature made to attract everyone and express nothing real, though it would take a master observer, like Magnus, to know it.

βevery student, shadowhunter and mundane alike, knew the name herondale. it was jaceβs last name. it was the name of heroes.β
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACE HERONDALE
ALINE PENHALLOW || The Shadowhunter Chronicles
Even when her life was perfect, Lucieβs fears always came back to haunt her. The dreams varied greatly: sometimes it involved someoneβs death, other times it didnβt. It didnβt matter if someone died or not; each dream was as brutal and heart-shattering as the last. The most frequently occurring one, however, was Jesseβs exile.
Lucie knew that their situation had been sorted out years ago, but she couldnβt quite get rid of the idea of her husband being punished for her actions.
She gladly would have been stripped of her runes if it meant Jesse got to live the life he never got to have before. Why did he need to take the blame for something she had done?
But in her dream, the clave didnβt understand that logic. They stripped him of the few runes he had, not bothering to listen to his scream. Then, they sent him into exile, never to see his loved ones again.
If Lucie were to be honest, sheβd thought about the possibility of exile on more than once occasion. No amount of daydreaming and worrying could have prepared her for the screams of agony that fell from her husbandβs lips. Nothing could have prepared her to mourn the loss of someone that hadnβt even died.
When she woke up that morning, she immediately turned to the other side of the bed, expecting the worst. Her vision was blurred with tears, but her eyes eventually focused on Jesse, his sleeping form sprawled out on the bed. She sighed softly, reaching out to play with his hair.
He groaned softly as he stirred. βLucie?β He asked, looking up her through half-closed eyes. βLucie, whatβs going on?β
βI just had a bad dream,β she said as gently as she could. βNothing you need to worry about, my love.β
Jesse sighed softly, sitting up to look her in the eye. βYou know you can talk to me.β
Tears stung her eyes, falling down her cheeks and onto her lap. βI had a dream that they put you in exile.β
βThe clave?β
Lucie nodded, wiping at her eye. βI know everythingβs sorted out, but I canβt stop thinking of what couldβve happenedββ she cut herself off with a sigh. βItβs stupid. Forget I said anything.β
He hugged her, his arms coming around her frail figure. She practically fell into his embrace, burying her head in his chest.
βI would never leave you,β he whispered into her hair, his hands tightening around her waist. βTheyβll never be able to separate us again, I promise.β
βI know,β she murmured softly as sleep began to claim her once again. βI love you.β
βI love you too, Luce. Letβs get some sleep, alright?β
The past didnβt matter. There was no use worrying about different scenarios that could have happened. All she needed to worry about right now was the present and the future.
"I've missed you" βFicmas day 2
Happy day 2 of ficmass! Did I accidentally post day 1 too early by clicking post instead of schedule? Yes. Oh well.
Anyway, I've been wanting to write a fic for these babies for soo long! I've had so many ideas, but I've never had enough time to write them. But now, I've finally done it! I hope you enjoyyy! I'm not telling you who they are because I want it to be a surprise :)))) (it's also significantly shorter than the first one, so you're welcome) βAna
...
"I've missed you"
The cold air suddenly gave way to warm breezes and blue skies. The air smelled sweet; of grass and jasmines and the faint sound of water lapping could be made out in the distance. Two shadowhunters, one fair-haired and the otherβs as dark as midnight, blinked at the sudden sunlight and change in climate, looking for a small cottage.
Suddenly, Cristina let out a yelp and took off sprinting, her dark hair waving like a banner behind her. Mark didnβt have to look to know that the reason behind his girlfriendβs sudden excitement was due to the fact that their boyfriend, Kieran, was standing outside their cottage. He grinned as Cristina launched herself at Kieran, locking her legs around his waist and throwing her arms around his neck. They laughed and kissed and Kieran spun her around in a circle. Mark could only watch for a while before his excitement got the best of him, and he ran over to join them. Once heβd reached them, Mark took Kieran's face in both of his hands and kissed him, content that they were all finally reunited. They all laughed and grinned and shared kisses in between themselves. After a short while, he felt Cristina put both of her arms around them, resting her forehead against theirs.
I would glisten as it fell βFicmas day 1
WELCOME TO MY FICMAS CELEBRATION!! I've been wanting to do this since last year, but I've never had time. But this year, I've decided to prepare 12 fics for the holiday season as we count down the days until Christmas! I hope you enjoy today's fic!! (has nothing to do with heartbreak, I just chose an atw lyric because I didn't know what to name this fic and she talks about snow, ok I'll be quiet now)
...
James offered Cordelia his bent armβholding a self in the otherβand she took it with a smile. Their footsteps crunched on the snow as they made their way to where their friends resided.
She craned her neck to see the top of the mountain and gaped. The slope was steep enough to make her anxious at the thought of going down it on a measly wooden sled. Matthew came up beside her.
βManiacal, I tell you. Such a barbaric form of entertainment.β
Cordelia giggled, and squinted against the sun reflecting on the ice.
βThat doesnβt look safe at all.β She remarked.
Lucie, Thomas and Christopher had managed to cram into one sled and seemed to be racing Ariadne, Jesse and little Alex. Jesse was holding his little cousin like he was made of glass, a fact that Alex not only seemed completely oblivious to, but was unintentionally sabotaging as he squirmed about trying to look at his brother and cousins.
Due to Christopherβs extensive knowledge of physics, they were going faster than the other trio since they were leaning forward. They would have won too, had it not been for a hill in the middle of the ground. Thomasβhaving been on the backβ was spent sprawling before the sled was entirely off of the hill with a yelp. The sudden loss of Thomasβ weight caused Lucie and Kit to shoot forwards and go air bound. Thankfully Lucie had thought to let go of the sled before they proceeded to hit the ground vigorously. The sled went tumbling hazardously without itβs passengers and Lucie was laughing even before she hit the ground, clearly finding the entire endeavor hysterical.

Kit is already annoyed when he opens the door. "For the last time, Jace, no, I will not go with-"
"I'm not Jace," Ty says.
The knuckles of Kit's hand go white as it tightens around the door.
He's just woken up from a nap. It shows. His blonde hair is a mess, flattened on one side and all spiked up on the other. Red marks his cheek where it was pressed against the pillow, and this pair of sweatpants is old enough that it has a hole on the knee, doesn't quite cover his ankles. Kit isn't even wearing a shirt under Jem's hoodie.
"I can see that", Kit manages after a few seconds. His voice sounds strangled. "Just- give me a minute."
The door slams shut. Ty starts counting.
About fifty-seven seconds later, it opens again. His hair looks like he's at least gone through it with his fingers; the hoodie is nowhere to see, replaced by one of Tessa's sweaters. It is a little too tight around his shoulders. The jeans he's now wearing has an actually purposeful knee hole. Kit is still barefoot.
"Okay," Kit says, "now we can talk."
