About the age discussion, I don't know if it's because here in my country 18 it's when you're out of age for everything, even drinking, so being 20 you're already an adult and it's very very common to have relationships between a 20 and 25 years old. Actually, it's seen as a good scenario here taking a lot of relationships here start young. My first boyfriend was 19 when I was 14. I'm not saying it's not wrong, I know better now, but it's kind of normalized here. So when I saw the difference between Alec and Magnus, and they were both out of age, I thought it was pretty normal and okay?

But the thing is, regardless of my country or its culture, when I was 25, I couldn’t fathom being with someone who is 20. So I don’t understand older men who legit feel attracted to people in their early 20s. That just felt, again, very icky.

The other two focus on magnus' past (which are the same for both of them). So, we will get to see magnus' first meeting with warlocks and also some stuff about his wedding with alec :))

you re writin a fantasy book right? m question is very stupid but im an aspiring author as well im from india and i feel like its such a disadvantage to be an indian or sri lankan or anywhere in south asia because my books will never get the same recognition as an american or from uk - all the awards everything is for them. i want to write a fantasy story and have tumblr pages for it, people writing ff for my characters and i know its not possible for every author but for someone from south asia i sometimes feel it not even an option idk if it makes sense . do you feel the same? ever? sorry if you dont want to ans this but do you think having a tumblr folloing very early on helsp like you hve been doing with your book?

1 - Yes, it's not an easy thing for authors from South Asia, especially those who are writing genres like fantasy which aren't popular in my country, and especially writing queer stories, since homosexuality is illegal here, sigh. Even though we've seen a lot of desi authors or authors who are poc get mainstream in the fantasy genre, many of them live in (or were raised) in the global north, so I find it very difficult to be inspired by their success tbh. But I do not feel very defeated about it. I think right now, my goal is to write a good story. I will worry about the marketing and sales and everything else once i have a draft that I'm proud of. If that doesn't work out, self-publishing is always an option. It's great that you've already made so much progress with your storytelling. I'd say focus on that for now. It also helps to join various writing communities online (like you have done on tumblr) to see what others are up to and get advice. It is difficult for us to get traditionally published, yes, but it is not impossible. So, there is indeed hope.

2 - I think it might be helpful to talk to someone about this. I do feel that way, sometimes. I think it's okay to feel that way too. But if that's how one is feeling all the time and if there is no joy in anything we do, then I do think we need some support to get through it.

I'd say Victoria is only a couple of years or so older than Anjali/Rafael. So, she'd be like 45 or so. Also, even though kids in the Academy are usually the same age, it's not the same for Scholomance since they join at different stages in life.

No i understand what you're saying and i feel the same way too, i was just kinda joking, my 20 friend was dating a 25 year's old and i was not very on board with it but i wasn't the person to say it. it was obvious that nothing was gonna happen between them and was just texts. And nothing did happen between them thank god.

İ don't know but to me it's just seems like an excuse on the man's part but from what i see a lot of woman think man mature later so they want to date older man instead of encouraging man to get their head out of their ass😤

I do understand why women (or anyone who is a young person) wants to date someone older. I can see the “allure”, if you will. But I don’t think any “adult” person who is interested in someone so young is making an ethical choice. Like you’re the adult here. You should know better 😭
