Happy (belated) Mother's Day (to those who celebrate) beautiful people! This is a special post dedicated to my mother and her life in this DR. As someone who is very close to my mother, I would like to talk about her and the impact she has in this specific reality. This idea has also been sitting in my drafts and I wanted to post it soon lol.
Ellen Pineda (born [REDACTED], 1976) is a Filipino singer-songwriter known for being the frontwoman and a guitarist of the band Ekko. She became one of the most recognizable voices in alternative rock, gaining recognition internationally for her addicting voice. Pineda has since been established as one of the most influential figures whose career has had a significant impact on female public figures.
Bits and Pieces
— Used to be a model in Taiwan (She actually did that in this reality too) before starting her band.
— Ekko achieved international fame primarily through the 1996 breakout single "Fall At Your Feet," which was the band's first English release.
— Ekko became the first all-female band to successfully headline an all-stadium tour.
— Has an avatar modelled after her in the Sims: Superstar (she's the one who introduced me to the game).
— She currently splits her time between her properties in London, England and Kilkenny, Ireland, but primarily lives in Toronto, Canada.
— She lives a very private life and is rarely seen in public.
— The band is still together but is in the process of creating (potentially) their final album as a collective and are in preparations to go on their final world tour.
