Orchid had always loved Velvet. It wasn’t the one how fans loved Velvet just for her fame, music, and concerts. No. Orchid truly loved Velvet with all of her heart. Velvet had never really felt loved by anyone in her life. Only by orchid. But she just thinks orchid is faking it.
“I love you, Velvet.”
The words hung in the air, soft and certain. Orchid said them often — too often, maybe. But Velvet never seemed to believe it. She had usually been expecting to hear the applause of the fans when she finish’s a song, the screams of stadiums filled with fans who adored the persona she wore like armor. But offstage, she was untouchable. Nobody had ever truly loved her. Not like this.
Velvet’s gaze flickered away, fixating on her new manicured nails. The sparkling city lights sprawled beneath them, a reminder of all she had built. She was a millionaire singer, an icon. People called her unstoppable. But Orchid saw beyond all that. And it terrified Velvet.
“Stop saying that,” Velvet murmured, her voice catching despite her efforts to remain nonchalant.
Orchid stepped closer, her hand reaching out gently. “I love you,” she repeated, just as tenderly. “And I’m not going to stop.”
Tears welled in Velvet’s eyes. She hated how fragile she felt — how badly she wanted to believe those words. But how could she? No one had ever loved her. Not really. Not without wanting something in return.
“You don’t mean it,” Velvet whispered, clutching her trembling hands. “You think you do, but you don’t.”
Orchid shook her head. “I do. And I’ll keep saying it until you believe me.”
Velvet bit down on her lip, forcing herself to swallow the sob that threatened to escape. She tried to ignore the warmth in Orchid’s voice, the sincerity that chipped away at the walls she’d spent years building. But it was impossible.
“I love you, Velvet,” Orchid whispered once more, her own eyes glistening. “And I always will.”
Velvet’s breath hitched. She could feel the weight of those words sinking in. And though she wanted to dismiss them, a small part of her — the part that longed to be loved — held on to them. Even if she didn’t know how to say it back.

Ritz adjusted his beanie, glancing at himself in the monitor one last time. His blonde hair, tipped with blue, was perfectly styled (as always), and his colored jumpsuit, he was gonna interview, his boyfriend, Veneer today. He was nervous but confident too.
But the second Veneer walked out onto the stage, Ritz nearly forgot how to breathe.
Veneer looked insane. His black lacy outfit clung to him in all the right places, the sheer fabric teasing just enough skin to leave Ritz completely flustered. And his green hair? It shimmered under the lights like something out of a dream. Ritz’s boner was visible now. He was blushing and flustered. He couldn’t just jack off right now! Veneer was walking over. He tried to hide it.
“H-hi veneer! Welcome to the bop on top!” Ritz gave veneer a peck on the cheek . Veneer smirked and sat on his lap.

The interview went on, but Ritz couldn’t focus for the life of him. They talked about Velvet and Veneer’s new album, upcoming tour, and his plans for the future, but all Ritz could think about was how unfairly attractive he looked in that outfit.
“So, Veneer,” Ritz said, trying to sound casual, “your new single Him is all over the charts. People are saying it’s about someone special~. Care to explain?”
Veneer’s lips curled into a sly smile. “Maybe. Maybe not.” He leaned forward, resting his chin on his hand. “What do you think, Ritz?”
Ritz’s heart skipped a beat. He could feel the blush rising in his face, but he played it off with a smirk of his own. “I think whoever it’s about is incredibly lucky. And if they don’t know that… well, they’re an idiot.”
The crowd erupted into cheers, and Veneer laughed softly, his blue eyes practically sparkling. “You always know exactly what to say, don’t you?”
“I try,” Ritz replied, his voice lower now. The tension between them was thick, and even the audience could feel it.
By the time the interview wrapped up, Ritz wasn’t sure if he was relieved or disappointed. He stood up, ready to shake Veneer’s hand, but Veneer had other plans.
He leaned in close—too close—and whispered, “You’re so cute when you’re flustered.”
Ritz froze for half a second before leaning in to whisper back, “Let’s make sure you don’t walk for a while~.”
Veneer’s eyes widened for a split second before his signature smirk returned. “Bold of you to assume I’m that easy,” he shot back, his voice low enough that only Ritz could hear.
The cameras turned off, and the crew started packing up, but Ritz and Veneer stayed locked in their little bubble, their banter continuing as they walked off set together.
Ritz couldn’t stop smiling. This interview might’ve just been his favorite yet.

“I didn’t mean for this to happen,” Veneer said, his voice shaking. He pressed his free hand against the table, as if it could keep him calm. “Velvet just got me involved..”
Ritz’s laugh was bitter and sharp, cutting through Veneer like glass. “Oh? Velvet got you involved? Well you could’ve fucking said no instead of a being a fucking pussy.”
“I was trying to make sure I don’t lose you!!!! If I told you, I-i would’ve thought you left me..” Veneer said, shaky
Ritz’s eyes burned. “Well now, people are gonna think I’m involved with your shit. IM GONNA GET IN TROUBLE. BECAUSE OF YOU.”
Veneer then had tears running down his cheeks, Ritz hated when he cried. “I didn’t mean for it to get this bad,” he whispered.
Ritz stood up, the scrape of chair echoing the room. “I don’t know who you are veneer..I-i think I wanna end things.”
“Ritz, please,” Veneer begged, his voice breaking. “I love you.”
Ritz froze. For a moment, Veneer thought he might stay. But then Ritz shook his head. “If you loved me, you wouldn’t have lied to me. Bye veneer.”
He turned and walked away, the door slamming shut behind him.
