Jessica. Jessica Fortenberry. Stop it.
He could play it cool. He’s seen his best friend Jason do it thousands of times before. Play it cool and aloof.
But fuck it. Lay it all out on the table. He was no Jason Stackhouse.
"Y’know, it’s kinda strange. I was just sittin’ here by myself, thinkin’ ‘Hoyt, how come ya never meet a nice girl? Like… ever?’ …
Jessica couldn't help but laugh softly to herself as he spoke. Not to mention the blush that immediately found it's way back to her cheeks - she still found that strange, it was something she didn't think she would be able to do as a vampire, but with blood still inside of her she supposed it made sense.
She took a moment trying to think of what she could say, and how she could continue to seem as though she had a grip on things. Back home she had never had the best of luck; sure she was pretty, and went out with boys, but they were all boys her dad had set her up with, and she had never felt excited like this talking to them.
It came to her, the perfect response, or so she thought, and she allowed her eyes to meet his once more.

A huge, rather goofy, smile spread on his lips as he slid into the seat opposite hers. He hadn’t intended for it to be so utterly happy. He was actually going for smooth. But that wasn’t Hoyt Fortenberry’s forte. It was hard to look away from those big blue eyes. She was captivating, even if she hadn’t meant to be. She certainly didn’t look like the other girls that occupied the bar at the moment.
"I’m Hoyt." He said, reaching his hand out to hers. Ever the polite southern boy.
The redhead found herself having to work internally on keeping her cool. He was actually there, sitting right across from her, and she was completely flustered. He seemed, well, different. She watched as his eyes remained locked on hers, and couldn't help but smile wide as he did. It was contagious.
He reached out his hand and she reached her own out to his. He was so polite - her parents would have loved him. She shook that thought out of her head.
Her eyes found their way to his neck - the vein pumping out of his nervousness was much more visible than usual and she felt herself close to dropping her fangs. She shook her head and smiled.
"I'm Jessica."

"Can I help you?"
Matt shifted his weight onto one foot and crossed his arms; awaiting an answer.
Jessica glanced up hearing the voice. She had been so distracted trying to focus on anything but the blood pumping through the veins of everyone around her.
"Um.. yeah, maybe. I don't know. Would ya mind tellin' me if there's a good hotel around here.. and maybe where this is?"

Oh, she was obvious, alright. And apparently she didn’t know who he was or she would have reacted differently. What a relief.
However, by the way she talked Godric could tell she was so very young. And outside alone without her maker. Wow, whoever that vampire was, Godric couldn’t understand why he would do that. Leave a baby vampire alone.
"Not to humans but I could not help but notice", he said, still giving her a slight smile. Godric forgot how nice it was to be treated like an actual person and not like some sort of King which he wasn’t and never would be. "Well, you are hungry, yes?" That question was a little pointless because young vampires always were, especially in such close proximity to humans. "You need to feed."
A statement which he was sure she had heard before. But Godric couldn’t really stop himself from being that vampire when he saw a young one being abandoned like this. "Oh, but you all alone is dangerous. Where is your maker? Does he not take care of you and watch your every move? Especially in times likes these, when being in control of ones instincts is so highly important. No longer can an outburst be resolved with a little glamouring and a fire."
Jessica let out a sigh, embarrassed as hell. She had a feeling that this man wasn't going to out her to Bill though. There was something different about him. He had soft features, and kind eyes, and she couldn't help but immediately feel comfortable around him. She couldn't help but wonder why he would want to spend his time talking to an annoying baby vamp. Something she assumed he knew based on her actions and how easily he had figured her out.
"Yes. I guess I coulda just ordered some Tru Blood from room service but I wanted ta get outta that room. It was so boring, you have no idea."
She shook her head. She had known that she wouldn't be able to sit in that room much longer, she was going crazy. Jessica needed excitement, and there was nothing to do up there. Luckily she could assume Sookie and Bill wouldn't be back until just before dawn; so she had time.
"He went out with his girlfriend." She shrugged softly. "I was supposed ta stay up there, he doesn't know that I'm down here, and he would kill me." Jessica tilted her head. "I honestly don't know what ta do."

Godric was supposed to be in his house, waiting for all the vampires to kiss his feet and tell him how special he was. That would go to any mans head after a while. So instead of letting them tell him how great he was, Godric just disappeared again, but this time leaving a note saying he would be back soon.
It didn’t take long for his phone to ring and like an idiot he answered. "What the fuck?", was what he heard when he picked up. It was Isabel. "I will be back. Give me time." There was a sigh at the other end of the line. "Well, what am I supposed to tell these people here?" For a moment Godric was quiet, the he sighed too. "Tell them to go home."
With that he hung up,.not leaving Isabel time to ask any more questions. And he also set the phone on silent so when she called again just a minute later, he didn’t realize it.
Somehow he ended up at the Hotel, where he just entered the lobby to maybe somehow disappear in the crowd. Like that ever worked. But just as he decided that this wasn’t the place he should be - maybe something quiet and lonely would do better - someone caught his eyes. A tall woman - vampire - with very beautiful long hair and an even face.
It was evident in her eyes that she was hungry and looking for a human and Godric very much felt the need to tell her no. Slowly he moved towards her, giving her a slight smile. "I would not try to hunt humans here if I were you", he said quietly to her, tilting his head as he spoke. "Some might take that as a threat and a violation of law."
This definitely wasn't going as Jessica had planned. There were a few vampires sitting around feeding, but she just assumed the humans must have been 'pets' or whatever everyone seemed to believe Sookie was to Bill. She of course didn't believe it was like that, not with the way that they looked at eachother. Maybe that was what she needed: a pet. Not that she had anyone in mind; she could never do that to someone like Hoyt, and she had only just learned how to glamour.
Wait. That was it. She could glamour someone into being her pet! Now that she had a grasp on the glamour thing she knew she could do it. She had everything completely under control. Glancing around the room, Jessica scanned once more for a potential human spotting one in the back corner. Just as she was about to head in that direction she was stopped by a voice, and a man standing in front her advising her against what she intended on doing.
"Am I that obvious?" She asked. "Damnit, Bill is going ta kill me if he finds out. Can we just um..." she began running a hand through her hair worriedly trying to think of an explanation, "can we just forget this ever happened and you can go on with your night and I can go back to sit in my boring ass room and behave." She pleaded, watching the vampire's seemingly amused expression.
"Please?"
Dallas || Jessric
Crazy. That was what Jessica was becoming in this room. She wasn't allowed to leave or explore the hotel, Bill had decided that it was too dangerous. There was nothing on the television that Jess hadn't already watched, and the sun had only set about a half hour before. It was going to be a long night.
Waiting impatiently for something exciting, Jessica heard a knock on the door. "Jessica, open the door." It was Bill. He came in only for a moment, Sookie in tow, to tell her that they were headed out and that she was to stay put and not do anything stupid.
"Glad to know you have so much faith in me."
She snarked, closing the door behind them as they left. She had one thing on her mind; Hoyt Fortenberry. The first boy to ever like her in that way, that she could actually do something about. Before if a boy so much as looked at her her father would shut it down immediately. This was different.
She knew that there was nothing she could do to get him to Dallas, so it was decided. She was going to go out too. Getting dolled up, Jessica headed downstairs to one of the lounges in the hotel, glancing around for a place to sit, and possibly a bite to eat.
