;
You are the divine patron of battle, conflict, and the weapons forged to fight them. You are quick to temper and obstinate in disposition, and you also govern heroic attributes such as strength, courage, and honor. Due to your domain’s ability to bring widespread death and suffering, much of the mortal realm often looks upon you with fear and disdain. However, you also give life to transformative and regenerative forces such as revolution and rebellion, and your innovative forge has birthed vital technologies of science, beauty and prosperity alongside its spears and armor. Mortals look to you for bravery and prowess in battle as well as skilled craftsmanship, and your mythological equivalents are Greece’s Ares and Hephaestus, Scandinavia’s Odin, Egypt’s Sobek, and Mesoamerica’s Huītzilōpōchtli.

Wait A Second! || Tony
theveryvincible:
Tony doesn’t respond to the older man beyond waving his hand in the air as if to say don’t mention it. He walks blindly down the hall, his mind a million miles away, spinning at the speed of light while he tries to reason with himself. He’s had a combative relationship with Steve since he was a child and the soldier was no more than a shadow to compete with for his father’s attention. It was difficult— nearly impossible for him to reconcile the phantom soldier from his childhood with the Steve he knew today. It was even more challenging to figure out where he was supposed to sit with Steve’s best friend; the man who murdered his parents while out of his mind. All he knows is he is so tired of being angry, of yelling, of betrayal.
He pinches the bridge of his nose, rubbing over his eyes before dropping his hand and forcing a smile back into his voice as they reach the espresso machine. “Good news about the buttons,” Tony reaches into the drawer beneath the machine, “I kept the manual. Basically, an espresso machine is a more aggressive coffee pot. It forces scalding water through this—” he taps the portafilter “which holds the compacted coffee grounds, and it makes a thicker, richer coffee.”
Bucky follows Tony down the hall, back to the lounge and towards the coffee bar. Passing Romanoff who had been carrying a broom with a dust pan. A subtle wink directed at Barnes. He just ducks his head, though he understood at the very least that the remains of the perking pot wouldn’t be thrown away.
His face reddens when Tony had pulled a manual out from one of the drawers. Bucky had simply assumed that the drawers held nothing more than those odd little white pod things that he’d seen the others pick out after careful decision making at least once or twice during the mid morning hours –and sometimes during the late evening hours– of the day.
“Oh..” His silence his finally broken. Silently watching and nodding with the new verbalized details of one of the several coffee making machines on the back counter of the coffee lounge. “Thicker? Is that why.. Steve likes espressos? Sounds kind of like the mud consistency coffee we used to have to strain back in the day.” Shaking his head a little. “It doesn’t pump the grinds into your mug, right? I don’t care what Steve has to say about munching on coffee grounds somehow making the coffee stronger. It’s a drink. Not some type of bitter chunky soup..”
A surprised laugh bubbles past Tony's lips before he can stop it, not that he thinks he should stop it. "No, it's not like your ancient mud coffee." He taps the side of a glass canister which is full of beans on the top and has a series of small blades on the bottom. "Here is where you can grind your fresh espresso beans, you just push this—" Tony scoots over a few inches and fingers the ON button, making sure Bucky can see "button to turn it on. But don't turn it on unless you have this thing ready." He picks up the portafilter and places it under the grinder.
Tony turns on the grinder, filling one section with coffee grounds before pushing the button again to turn it off. "Now we just crank this little lever—" He pulls the level forward a few times until all the grounds are in the bowl "then smush the grounds down and level them out." Tony finishes up with a little flourish and then slides the portafilter back into place on the espresso machine. He takes out two shot glasses and lines them up under the spouts before hitting the button labeled shots. Once the thick, rich liquid is done pouring, he lifts both glasses and offers one to Bucky. "I usually take about four of these and mix a drink."

His laugh came out in a huff, communicating more contempt than humor. “money can buy people who’ll pretend to give a shit about you until the well runs dry. that I do know all about.” His tone is mocking, but all of his disgust is internalized. College was a horrific experience before he learned how to play people the way they played him.
“The curse and blessing of money, am I right?” Gemma nodded in agreement. She knew that was how a lot of people were in the end. “You know, while money makes them show themselves more… A lot of people are like that. They like to use you up, and once they have gotten their fill, they move on.” Shrugging, she looked around, arms crossing over her chest “that’s why I usually work alone, saves on people turning out to be that. But, I can see you don’t like to be alone, or am I reading you wrong.”
' show me a person not in their right mind who would want to work alone. genius does not come from a well-rounded and healthy childhood. ' tony nodded his agreement, popping a handful of blueberries into his mouth in a practiced show of nonchalance. ' I prefer to work alone usually, though I will work with others if I must. I've always been good at people, after all. '
