after a lot of deliberation, I’ve decided that i will be leaving this blog. it’s actually very sad for me, as this blog is the closest i ever got to my first thousand followers, but despite my muse for dandy never going away, i can’t be on this blog right now. i hope y’all understand! and hopefully i’ll be back sometime in the future. thank y’all so much for being so awesome, it means a shit ton me! see ya later!

she has little interest in the new guests that pass through the doors of the hotel cortez, for most prove to be rather… boring. they’re all the same, all with a dream of hitting it big in hollywood or finding love in the city of angels. to elizabeth, it’s a foolish fantasy, one she once shared with all of these unfortunate souls. however, the man that struts through the lobby this late afternoon catches the countess’ attention right away. she’s conversing with one of the hotel’s newest permanent residents in the blue parrot lounge when the dark haired male arrives, but at the sound of his rather trill voice ( or maybe it’s just his tone ), she’ll excuse herself from the presence of her acquaintance to get a look at this man. he’s well dressed, wardrobe rather flashy and out of place for LA. but she faults him not for that. flashy men tend to come from money, tend to enjoy showing off. with this thought in mind, she descends the stairs silently, slinking behind the counter without detection; a perk of the virus. ❛ i’m sorry to say that you’ll have to check in before i’m able to find someone to escort you to your room. — do you have a reservation? ❜ head tilting to the side, she’ll grin warmly.

Head swiftly turns toward the creamy voice with , at first , with confusion - she had not been there just a MOMENT ago . But then his eyes grew curious , and then admiring , as her being comes into focus . Lavish and ELEGANT was her form and her dress . Hair almost gold under the light flooding in through the high windows of the hotel . The first woman he lays his eyes upon in this city is ANGELIC , and if that does not give him faith that this is heaven , than he does not know what will .

Dandy’s hands now rest upon the counter as he grins widely at the woman , showing her his interest , not only in her , but in the hotel . Only moments before he had wished he had made room arrangements else where , but now there is no place he’d rather be . Making himself tall , putting on a charming grin , he answers .

‘ Indeed . A room for DANDY MOTT , ’

{ ℳ. ℰ. ✾ } ———— “I know I’m definitely right, Mr. Mott. You have a bright future ahead of you. I’m sure the girl that you meet and have a family with will be much lovely than me, a plain fortune teller.” It was what she told everyone ‘You have a bright future’ but Dandy didn’t need to know that. Maggie really did think she was just average and nothing special, Jimmy had cheated on her after all, so she wasn’t lying to him about that. He could find someone that was truly beautiful.

Maggie was still blushing no matter how hard she tried to stop herself and her fingers trembled as she placed them on her crystal ball, surely Dandy would notice this. Why had she blurted out something that would embarrass her so much? It seemed she had no control over herself when she got nervous. She took a deep breath and acted as though she was concentrating.

She closed her eyes to try and listen. She was convinced she was a fraud but lately the things she had told people were coming true. She was convinced that she could hear whispering voice telling her what to say at times.

“There is going to be an accident…something is going to happen…” She moved her hands, hovering them over the clear nervously. “It looks like your mother.” Of course Maggie didn’t know that Dandy had or will kill his mother. She might if she looked harder but just that made her nervous.

Dandy , of course , was USED to women acting nervous around him . They believed he was handsome , and knew he was rich , and therefore tried all in their power to get him to notice them . The shaking of the fortune teller’s hands showed nothing else , and a grin spread across his lips at the color that betrayed her TRUE FEELINGS .This was perfect , wasn’t it ? Bette and Dot had broke his heart , but if another beautiful freak wanted him , that who was he not to MOVE ON ?

He watched her closely , the crystal remaining the same , though he was convinced Esmerelda could see things no one else could . He let his chin rest curiously on his knuckles , eyes flicking from the ball to her face and back again . A BRIGHT future , of course . Something he had been told his entire life . Any future would be bright if you had banks filled with money and a handsome face . This is not what he wanted to hear . Dandy wanted something NEW , something different . A fortune where something exciting or horrific happened - not to him , but to the people who crossed him .

A tilt of the head at the mention of his incompetent mother . She HAD been rather annoying lately , always pestering him to return to the doctor’s to get his head checked out . Dandy only hoped that something would happen to that hag ! This was a rather pleasurable fortune , and he immediately pulled a HUNDRED DOLLAR BILL from his coat pocket to slide to the fortune teller , grinning fondly at her .

‘ That will do , though I do request something simple ; what is the future of YOU and ME ? ’

Men—-Meg couldn’t stand them. Especially the snobby, rich ones. The ones that thought they could own her, and could control her every movement, her every desire, her every thought. Even when she was just a mere child, she refused to put up with it, and she sure as hell wasn’t going to stop now. She met the Dandy’s glare with her own, a glare that normally got anyone, or anything to crumple in fear.

“I SAID—I’m not wearing your frilly dress to fulfill your creepy-ass doll fetish, you pretentious pig. And I sure as hell am not repeating myself again.”

The word ‘ no ’ was one in a large vocabulary that Dandy absolutely DESPISED . It had not been engrained into him for sometime , not since his temper tantrums as a child began to make his mother recoil in fear . Nose scrunched into displeasure at the woman’s words , hands tight against the dress that he continued to hold out to her , DESPITE her rejections .

‘ As long as you are under my roof , you will do as I SAY . I bought you for a reason ; I OWN YOU . ’

Simply beautiful and breathtaking the witch rests upon the slightly lit bench in her expensive white dress. Ivory smooth skin twinkles under the lights despite the impatient roll of hazel orbs. Sure this is gorgeous and above all I M P R E S S I V E, but the lull of violins is only entertaining for so long. Where is her prince in all this? Just as she thinks it her gaze lands on her attractive R I C H boyfriend and the beautiful flowers that momentarily take her breath away.

Compliments sound from his alluring lips and cause her crimson ones to lift in a smirk before closing the distance. “Thanks handsome, I know– I had to impress you after all.” Sure he wasn’t hard to impress but she did try to look amazing, his choice in scenery is just an added bonus to her radiance.

“What are your plans for tonight? Devilish, Sexy– R O M A N C E? Maybe all of the above?” Hip pops to the side as hazel orbs linger over his strong jaw and handsome dark features. Manicured hand lifts to run nails over his jaw with a devilish smirk. “How about you start with a kiss?” One thing about men? They love to T H I N K they have the control, and rarely she gives them that courtesy.

The image of Madison looming slightly below him sends him into a simple frenzy , his hands lacing softly around her waist . The feel of her dress beneath his fingers excites him into leaning down , pressing lips firmly against the woman’s tantalizingly RED ones . Dandy refuses to pull away for a long while , cherishing the moment between the two . The music fills his ears , and as he finally steps back , he slides on hand into that of the other’s , swaying softly with the small orchestra to their right .

The dance is smooth , ROMANTIC . He wonders how he got so lucky after everything he’d been through . Madison was the light in the darkness , the DIAMOND in the rough . Dandy had no doubt she loved him as much as he loved her , and that was a feeling nothing else would be able to beat . He gazed into her eyes lovingly , a smile permanently on his lips .

‘ A SURPRISE you will know in due time , my love ; ’

As the song came to and end , he placed a gentle kiss on both of Madison’s hands , nodding a thanks at the musicians before pulling her after him , leading her to a candlelit dinner under a starry gazebo . He grinned down at her , waiting for her REACTION .

She was doing her best to hurry, but, there was only so much hurrying one could do if you had feathers that did indeed need preening. She dare not make Dandy look bad. She’d seen his temper, and while she’d not been on the receiving end of it yet, she wasn’t particularly in a hurry to be either. Smoothing her dress, she quickly snatched up her purse and rushed downstairs.

“I’m sorry, Dandy! I didn’t watch the clock a-and I had a hard time picking out one dress,…” She waved her hand and gave him an apologetic smile. “Don’t be mad?”

Dandy huffed at her , straightening the cuffs of his sleeves as he turned his nose UP at her . At least she looked decent , though it had taken MUCH too long . This was a very important night for him . He supposed he’d rather be late than his company look bad . After a glance in the mirror above the fireplace , he held his elbow out to Brianna , mood changing swiftly as he became ECSTATIC .

‘ You’ll be meeting many important people tonight . Be on your BEST behavior , ’

Dandy watched Ivan step up to him , in clothes that gave off the impression that he wasn’t living with a rich man , and Dandy’s face pinched into DISPLEASURE . Had he not boughten clothes specifically for this event ? Why must this boy be so DIFFICULT ? !

‘ If you think for a moment I’ll be letting you leave my home looking like THAT , you’re mistaken , ’

He didn’t find new people often - not many SANE people travelled to Jupiter , especially when they heard of the Freak Show . But this woman was obviously different ; he could simply SEE it . In a cafe , crowded with residents on a Sunday after their boring church services and regularly scheduled house keeping , Dandy saw her , and approached accordingly .

He had travelled plenty in his life time , but to go somewhere without his mother ( REST IN PEACE ) ? Well - it was rather foreign to him , as was this giant city called LOS ANGELES . California was never a place he had aspirations to go until he decided quickly that he longed to be a thespian ! He had heard that this was a place of dreams and opportunities - and he was willing to try ANYTHING , at this point . The hotel he would be staying at looked rather drab , but that did not stop him from marching inside , ringing the bell at the front desk . When no one came to retrieve his belongings , he called out through the corridors .

Detectives were not something he was quite used to . Dandy lived in a SMALL town with a SMAL police force that could be bribed with SMALL amounts of money . He’d met only one detective before and , well . . . We could say he hasn’t bothered Dandy since . But the one that had showed up on his doorstep tonight did not seem pleasant , not a man he exactly wanted to deal at this time of night . Yes , the murders had been DANDY , but couldn’t the allegations wait until morning , at least ? !

Not DRUNK , per se . no - gentlemen did not get ‘ drunk ’ , but instead ‘ had a good time ’ or , simply put , becameINTOXICATED . Indeed , Dandy Mott was intoxicated at the local bar , still sipping at drinks that would only cause the dizziness to worsen . And what WORDS were slipping out to the woman who was now to his right ? Recognized her as the singer from the stage , perhaps , but that did not phase his drunken stupor .

‘ You’re voice ! OH ! How can you s - simply sing in places like this ? ! ’

Not a nervous man . In fact , quite the OPPOSITE . Confidence practically leered off of Dandy’s shoulders as he approached Maddison with the roses . She looked angelic with the scene of twinkling lights behind her as she sat on a bench in the park . ROMANCE was what he wanted for her , what she deserved . They were not that different , the film star and the multi - million dollar franchise owner . Which , HE believed , is why he had fallen in love with her in the first place .

Dandy handed her the flowers with a grin that stretched across his face , admiring her GLOW and perfectly fitting dress . He kissed either cheek , wondering if she had any idea of the grand finale of the night .

Attitude - from a woman , no doubt - was one thing Dandy could not BARE . It irritated him down to his core . She did not know here place , he knew that for sure , but she seemed too far gone to LEARN , at this point . Nevertheless, Dandy rolled his eyes down to her , glare penetratingly evil , even for such an UNDIRE situation .
