Today would have been the late Robin Williams' 64th Birthday. The death of a celebrity has never really affected me as much as his. Like I have previously said, to see what seemed like an unbreakable human, no longer overcome the horrible affliction he faced truly made me question my own abilities to overcome depression. It's been a while since I have been at my lowest, I still face the occasional ups and downs, but I've come to accept it, to face my fears head on. I learned to be open about depression, to not keep things in. It is not a sign of weakness to talk to someone else, to seek help, to vent and rant. It's what makes us human. The way we perceived Mr Williams was a great help to many people, his actions on and off the screen sent out so much happiness around the world. I can only hope to one day be half the human he ever was. So, thank you Robin Williams. May your memory live on forever. ✌🏻️
