Throwback to 2020 :) ice skating ring in Central Park. 🖤 Back in 2020 when I started drawing full background illustrations I started with the classic blue and yellow combo - I hope most of you will remember it! Those colors feel like home to me and I think it is because of all the feelings it evokes and how well it goes with the sense of "capturing the moment." What I like about those colors is how limited to actual color palette is and how much attention it brings to the main characters. It's like no matter where they are, even if it's the most beautiful location, that's not the actual focus of the artwork. They are. That's how I feel when I take Lenny out or when I used to walk Norman in Ireland. Late evening walks, fresh air, it's just me and him & we being surrounded by the evening blues and some yellow window lights. It's just such a feeling of peace. It captures a part of loneliness and a part of togetherness. I feel like no matter how bad or good my day was, that walk is all I need to bring me back to me. It was the same in Ireland as it is here in Brooklyn. ❄️🖤

I saw the same view for ten days. Since then, I’ve seen so many new places more. Every person must constantly search for new things, new sights, new sounds, new faces, new pathways. Even if you live in the same place or work in the same place for years, you could find something new. When you can’t see anything more, your heart can’t see the creativity more. We need the change.
