“god, your jokes really are terrible,” you pointed a finger at han.
he laughed, throwing his head back. “sure, love. tell yourself that. i’m funny, and you can’t admit it.”
“whatever,” you grumbled.
jisung’s brown eyes glowed as they caught streams of sunlight filtering in through the classroom window.
his gummy smile lit up your day everyday. as you both maintained eye contact, his smile flickered, before changing into a smirk. his eyes narrowed.
“i win every staring contest, love, don’t try me,” he tried to threaten you into losing.
“hah! that’s the funniest joke you’ve made all year, and it’s already october, bitch,” you retorted.
he blinked twice, undeniably losing the game, but continued staring at you. his smile was gone. except… he was looking at you with a different gaze now. he was studying you: the exact shade of your eyes—one of them illuminated by the sunlight, and the other dark—as if he could read every thought racing behind them.
“quit staring like that,” you said, exhaling sharply.

It was love at first sight, Han saw Minho and just fell in love. Han thought he was the most beautiful thing he could've set eyes on in that moment. After they'd met and started hanging out, the rest was history.
"So.. what do you think of... um..." Han was obviously nervous when he asked the question, and with Minho's sharp senses, he immediately figured that out.
"Of what?" Han swallowed, mentally preparing himself to ask this question that had been swallowing him whole and keeping him up at night. "Of.. like.. me.." He said it fast, like he'd get hit if anyone heard him.
Meanwhile, Minho just chuckled a bit. "Ah, that's what you've been stressed about?" Han hummed, avoiding eye contact as if his life depended on it. "I think you're cute," Han finally had a bit of hope in his eyes, slowly looking back at Minho. "Like a little brother."
The light in Han's eyes died immediately, his fingers fidgeting with his rings. "A.. A brother?" Minho hummed and nodded his head. He didn't really feel that way. He just wanted to see how he'd react. "Just a brother?" Minho hummed again, Han leaned back on the rooftop they were sitting on. He sighs softly, like he was lost in thought.
Minho stared at Seoul, but his eyes always wandered back to Han. "You wanna know how i really feel about you?" It'd been about 3 years since they met, but how Minho felt about Han wasn't gonna change no matter how hard he might've tried.
Han nodded and finally looked at Minho, who's been staring at him since he claimed he only saw him as a brother. "Do you really wanna know?" Han sat up, no longer leaning back. "Yes."
Minho looked at han, then the ground, and then the sky and city. After a few moments, Minho turns to Han with a serious expression. "I don't know how i feel about you, honestly. I get this feeling in my stomach that makes me want to throw up whenever I'm near you."
Minho hesitantly grabs Han's hands, staring at them. "My chest hurts when we say goodbye to each other, like someone is squeezing my heart really really hard." Minho presses the pads of his thumbs against Han's palm. "I stay up thinking about you, and you just wont leave my mind, so i don't end up going to sleep until 3am."
Han just listens, his ears turning red, is this really what he thought of him? Minho turns his entire body towards Han, then he looks at him. "Han, i don't know how i feel, and that's scary and confusing." Han's heart probably skips a beat at Minho's confession, these were all signs of— "Love. i think.. maybe.. i love you."
Han swallows, looking down at his hands inside of Minho's. Love? Minho loves him? Han felt like melting, even if it was winter, he felt like Minho's touch had enough warmth to keep his entire body warm.
"I'm not positive, but I've never felt this way before. it.. hurts... but... it also feels... good?" Minho tries his hardest to put his feelings into words, but Han's presence only made it harder.
"I think it is love, and i-i guess i feel the same. I'm not positive either, but.. I'm.. i feel um..." Han struggles with his words, stuttering a bit as his brain's scrambled. "I just— i-" His hands and voice tremble a bit, then he makes a decision.
Han leans in and presses his lips against Minho's, he's not entirely aware of what he's doing or what he plans to do after this, but he just knows he wants him. Han scoots closer, pressing his lips harder.
Minho is confused, part of him wants to pull away, even more of him wants to take it further, but when Han's hand wraps around his neck, his control breaks. "God, what am i gonna do with you?"
Minho laughs quickly — like a scoff or huff — and grabs Han's jaw, bringing him closer when he tries to pull away. Minho deepened the kiss, adding a bite to Han's lip that made him flinch. Maybe it was love.
Whether it was love or not, they kept kissing and holding hands, even if it was private. They both wondered 'what are we?' but nobody asked, they both didn't want to end what had only just started.
Though they wanted to share it with the world, to scream that they're dating, they couldn't, they're idols that are supposed to be doing a job. 4 more years later, the members knew and the STAYs were catching on. What they have is risky for sure, but as of now they don't care.
"Do you think we'll ever get to say it? that we're.. a thing?" Han and Minho were on their couch in the living room, Han's head resting on Minho's shoulder as they cozily watched TV.
"I hope so." The room was silent for a few seconds besides the TV playing some anime Han begged to turn on and the soft rain outside. "What if hope isn't enough?" Minho looks down at the sleepy boy resting on his shoulder. "I'll figure it out."
"You will?" Minho hums, gently petting Han's hair. "I will." Han yawns silently, the anime in the background still playing. "I'm tired." Minho sounded more awake when he heard Han's sleepy words. "You are?" He nods and Minho turns off the TV.
"I'll tuck you in." Minho stands up, ready to head to Han's room. "Actually.. can i sleep with you tonight?" Minho turns around fast, his heart almost stopping. "With me?" Han nods. "Yeah.. yeah of course." Han stands up and walks into Minho's room with him.
They both lay down and Minho gently watches Han, and then hesitantly and awkwardly holds him, trying to be the big spoon. Han mutters something incoherent as he's half asleep, and Minho chuckles.
When Minho listens a little closer, it's Han muttering something like 'i love you' or 'thank you', he can't tell which. "I love you too, Hannie." Minho slowly mumbles.
