I drop random thoughts, takes, and AU ideas for Persona characters. I may be wrong about things at times... feel free to educate me, but be nice about it if possible.

on the phantom thief boys and regret:

do you think morgana, the day he left the phantom thieves and was saved by haru, called the group useless as a projection of his inadequacy?

do you think ryuji knew that lots of people stereotype blonds as dumb? not that it's remotely accurate but do you think he found out, looked back, and felt fated to pick blond because he struggles in school?

do you think yusuke ever painted something portraying bitterness or anger towards madarame? do you think that, after awakening to goemon, that he thought of so many different ways he could portray his newfound rage towards his sensei and never allowed himself to make so much as one of them, because if madarame found out...

do you think goro, if he'd gotten to live a life free of shido's claws, would work at a woman's shelter or something of the sort? do you think that if he still found a way to become a celebrity or otherwise-influential person without shido's backing that he would advocate for sex workers and orphans?

do you think akira wished he'd never interfered with shido before coming to tokyo? sure, he proves with "kasumi" that he'd step in against a creep a thousand times over with no care for societal consequences, but do you think he turned that situation with kayo and shido over in his head even more times?

hanged man!sadayo, who was fired for sticking up for takase (instead of stopping the tutoring), started tutoring poor and otherwise disadvantaged people for free for her rebellion. some-fucking-how, this still makes her enemies, and she has to pick between her own safety/peace/etc. and helping the educationally oppressed.

the two ideas for her mementos target are as follows:

[insert first name here] kobayakawa, when students start dropping out/cutting class because sadayo is just so much better a teacher than any of shujin's.

akimitsu tsuda (canon!iwai's old brother in the yakuza; the mementos target you get through the hanged man), because his usual type of recruitees are ditching the yakuza to get 'genuine jobs' with sadayo's help.

i think a scene where the protagonist and all of sadayo's students chase the aforementioned mementos target away would be very touching!

maybe in post-canon/Rank 10, Sadayo decides to start up her own school or something like that...

Yu had a Dungeon in the TV World before the events of P4(G) gave him Izanagi.

The Investigation Team never saw it because when Yu awakened to his Persona, the Dungeon disappeared. There wasn't any need for it to exist... the reason most of the other Dungeons didn't disappear after the Shadow Self was confronted is because that's not a straight bullet to removing distortion - merely a first step.

If anyone had taken interest in watching the Midnight Channel in the time period, Shadow Yu would have been displayed going on an endless roadtrip, chasing his parents for their love and affection. There would be screens all over the place, displaying said 'show.'

And one day, an otherwise-ordinary Shadow in the area began to watch the TV, learned to chase strong/genuine bonds for love and affection, and grew an ego... and a new form, custom-tailored to make people like him.

honestly i think that whenever a phantom thief other than joker hits 0 HP they're just knocked out cold.

that's why they're in those goofy-ass poses. they're not dead. they're just unconscious. like pokemon!

joker however? him just fucking dead. the others freak out cuz holy shit that shadow fucking killed a boy, and that's why you don't get a happy ending if joker dies.

it stays tucked in the deepest parts of her closet unless and until she gets a fucking date with a woman.

the day comes, sadayo's totally forgotten about the hat by then. it isn't until they go back to her place that the bombshell doctor akira set her up with is looking around her trainwreck of a room and remarks, "please tell me my guinea pig bought you that."

i think in an arcanaswap/roleswap AU with Magician!Ryuji that he would not be a dog.

don't get me wrong; i am keenly aware of all of the canine energy he evokes (y'know, loyal, dumb of ass, energetic, etc.).

but make him a bearded dragon or something similar! it's in his name: according to the sources i found, Ryuji stems "From Japanese 竜 or 龍 (ryū) meaning "dragon" or 隆 (ryū) meaning "noble, prosperous" combined with 二 (ji) meaning "two" or 司 (ji) meaning "officer, boss"."

let him feel like a badass dragon! let him angst over being too small and shit - he's not a human, and he's not even a dragon, either.

some wacko at shujin tries picking a fight with fool!haru or whoever. she lets out a reptilian hiss, and wacko leaves her the fuck alone.

it was ryuji. ryuji hissed at him.

we can safely presume that madarame's scheme of taking in, abusing, and tossing out children started with yusuke's mother, given that his treasure (the source of his distortion) is ms. kitagawa's painting.

since yusuke was, like, three years old... that means madarame probably spent around a decade building disadvantaged youth up and breaking them down when they lost their luster.

what a terrible thing, to live "a long life built on the backs of children"...

fun fact: ichiryusai's first name was intended to be some sort of stage name for the public; his real name is ichitaro. interesting, since if i recall correctly, taro is considered a generic boy's name...
