Happy New Year from the last 3 generations of the Spence Legacy!

Confession for the void

It's been a while...

I doubt anyone was following my legacy but I stopped posting because I felt like it was taking my time from playing! I'm almost to Generation 9 which is unbelievable! And hard because I'm dealing with a lot of life stuff. I might continue updating but for now I think I'll focus on maintaining a family tree for the legacy on thesimstree.com.

For now enjoy a picture of our baby generation 7 heir, Belle and our lovely girl Skye, and Galen as a grandpa!

I've been too busy playing to make posts so things are a little behind. To make a long story short. Skye ended up graduating high school early and then completing university as a teen too! The first of my sims to do so. It was stressful though my girl had to do a lot of meditating.

Kai has become very comfortable around the slopes now and has even taken up rock climbing. Look at him go!

The twins aged up and Skye has been recruited to work in a compound with Engineers, Astronauts and other Scientists to discover the reason behind Alien Life. While She'll miss her father and brother she's really excited. (Kai didn't want to hug but he was down for a secret handshake. Their relationship is definitely my favorite in the legacy)

I'm gonna dump these prom photos because I'm afraid if I try and make it into a story it's not gonna make sense. Anyway, Kaori got sad at prom (probably cause her shitty date won't dance with her) and Kai cheered her up by dancing with her. She surprisingly won prom queen but spent the rest on the night chilling with Kai outside.

Skye danced with Lila and was really excited she doesn't know if what she feels is a crush but she does know that she wants Lila to be close to her all the time. Despite the cuteness Lila is not being very receptive to Skye's vulnerability. This is making Skye feel like she should graduate early so she can ignore these feelings. She just found out she could do so this morning.

Finally, at the prom after party, Kai finally confessed his love for Kaori (thank you Storytelling Socials mod!) they're cute, they're in love, they're boyfriengirlfrien and now I don't have to worry about his love life.

It's summer vacation for the twins and Kai is really excited Kaori's Mom is letting her stayover for the vacation! All the teens are headed to Cordelia's Forest Pool and then Skye's going to have a slumber party with some close friends.

At the pool Kaori is quite popular among the teens and even gets asked to prom by one of Kai's club mates; She accepts. Kai isn't happy about this but he distracts himself by doing continuous cannon balls (Even though he hates swimming.)

At Skye's slumber party later in the night she hangs on to every word uttered by Lila Mckinnon. They're in stem club together and Skye is infatuated by her. Kai stays out of the way he only interrupts to give Kaori something he's been knitting for her. A black and white panda hat.

So far summer vaction is getting Gen 6 into motion.

Slowly but surely, life enters a new normal after Galen and Cecilia's divorce. Galen is doing the best he can with the children who had become rebellious and annoying teens. He's returned to the garden and is bonding with the bees and Kai has started dating to get his mind off of how beautiful Kaori looked when he last saw her. The dates never go well though.

Additionally, Skye and Kai have gone back to teasing one another instead of insulting each other. Which takes a great deal of tension out of the household and Galen is dating...Agatha Crumplebottom?

Galen is determined to have this be a good vacation that balances out the sad moodlets that the kids got from the divorce. He gifted both Skye and Kai their own snowboards and then went off to work on his logic skill for his next promotion. He's pretty sad about the divorce too but it was easy so he's not resentful.

While Skye had fun snowboarding, Kai was really trying to develop his skill. He took himself to the intermediate slopes and tried for hours until it was time to meet a long-time friend.

Daisuke is now Kaori! While she had no reason to be, she was really nervous to show her true self to Kai. They've been talking online but have not seen each other since the youth festival. Kai of course is just happy to see his closest friend. Skye and Kaori got to know each other better too! They all had some nice hotpot at the Rec Centre.

When they returned to the rental Kai hit the slopes again and started doing tricks! Skye on the other hand went looking for collectibles. I didn't take any pictures though because the items keep getting stuck.

Before I knew it the vacation was over and it was time for Cecilia to leave but not without saying good bye to her favorite child and giving her a few life lessons.

They aged up and the first thing they did was fight.

Things did not go well once the family came back from Mt. Komorebi. Cecilia got herself two boyfriends and left often to go see them. She and Galen were arguing non-stop because he had no idea what she was up to. The transition from what he felt was a really loving and harmonious marriage to constant arguing sent Galen into a mid-life crisis that left him completely out of sorts and burnt out. The farm fell into disrepair but Skye and Kai tried to take care of what they could. Four animals ran away.

Galen caught Cecilia cheating and the twins left to their own devices took out their frustrations out on each other: teasing, turned into bickering, which turned into full on yelling matches. While Galen initially wanted to move past the cheating. He couldn't and decided to divorce Cecilia. While Cecilia is eager to leave Henford-on-bagley unattached, they are both worried about Skye and Kai so she will be staying in the house until after their birthday trip to Mt. Komorebi once again.

Galen is heartbroken. I don't think he could've ever imagined this happening. He misses his brothers and mom and really hates that he will have to navigate this alone. Moving to a new save is hard.
