The Donor Recognition Ceremony always takes an emotional toll on me. Back in 2012, I too had to attend this event for the first time and I know the heartache the families feel when they see their loved ones face flash across the screen... indescribable. I thank God for strengthening me to stand strong in the midst of my pain to help others to go through this journey. We had a great time celebrating my sister’s Retirement celebration.

It is possible to create and live the life you have imagined. How bad do you want it? Creating your ideal life will not be easy, quick, or simple, but possible. It's time to kick fear in the butt, believe in yourself, and take a leap of faith towards the life you have imagined. You're worth it!

As a Donate Life Ambassador, it's important for me to not only share my story about how my son saved lives through Organ donation, but also to help educate and spread awareness.
