When I look at you my child, I see my past, present and future. A year ago, I gave birth to you and my life, our life changed completely. Everyone was looking forward for your arrival, on that day, during labor, I have a clan who supported me in my every squats and pushes. Oh yes, you took your time to arrive, you needed to be. You are worth every injections, pain, stitches and really you were worth the wait. When I saw you, it was so surreal. You were so little yet you immediately gave me so much emotions— happiness, excitement, doubts and fear. You have a hoarse, throaty cry, but my heartbeat calmed you. You knew instinctively that I was your mom, your heart, your home. Months before, I knew that I will be a life source, you were born and that abstract concept became reality. I had never felt more significant and alive. This first year of being your mom, was like a crazy roller coaster ride with no seatbelts on. 😂🤣 It has been a wild, exhausting and exhilarating experience. I have learnt more about myself than I ever thought possible. Your mere existence made me a different human being with purpose and I guess same goes to your Baba. Thank you for adding so much color in our life. To our family, thank you for being there for us. Through your guidance, love and support I felt that my son is really fortunate.
