I think the reason people hate lexi is because cassie doesn't show being aggressive or mean so people think lexi's sass is unnecessary. The hatred lexi has isn't about cassie but the decision she makes, she wants her to get better. The lexi hate is so dumb like it's Chappelle roan talks back to paparazzi type of hate, lexi isn't someone that wants people around her to be below her that is such a wild take on lexi, her whole friendship with rue basically circles around her wanting rue to get better, it's why she kept being in contact with rue for all these years through thick and thin because she's very afraid what might happen cause she witnessed the same thing with her dad, you don't need to have them hold your hand through every thought process like it's already there, anyone can feel that way when they witnessed a loved one going through the same cycle of addiction from a previous loved one.

Her whole reason why she made that play was for people to see what she sees, she's very idealistic but we're talking about 16-17 year old lexi of course she would think this way, she just wants everyone to be aware because she grew up with people who just doesn't reflect, she has watched everyone she loved sabotage themselves, cassie, her mom, her dad, rue, maddy with nate like that is such a heartbreaking thing to watch and I think lexi being very "judgy" in s3 is what I considered to be character development, I'm glad that she's more outspoken cause her friends are now adults, you can take a few criticism and those criticisms isn't even that bad, those are like surface level worry like why would my former addict friend ask for a bunch of drugs, why are you pimping, why are you sex worker when your husband is a rich man? (because she doesn't know the state of their financial situation) that is genuine worry, what's the deal??? I rather have a friend that grounds me than hype me up for doing bad decisions.

She also has flaws don't get me wrong but those are veeery normal flaws like the Christian comment, that is average judgment even other religious people have the same opinion against their own, I'm catholic filipino but I don't trust other Catholic Filipinos too blah blah blah spanish colonisation, systematic ewan ewaw ewan, normal flaws, normal judgements. Are these lexi haters not human? This shit is so human I don't know what to say, it's just human.

And the boring criticism bruh...I guess that one is subjective but in a crowd of shitty people, I think it makes lexi stand out the most. She's not boring, she's just relatable to the average college girl, not even a prude, some people just wanna live the life of averageness when they lived out to witness bad things infront of them.
