“Okay, that’s a lot. I may have a little less than that, while I spend almost pretty much on Lina I save as much as I can. If I get the job at the club I’ll earn more, it’s a popular place. So I guess we can get something nice for the three of us. About school it’s just a personal goal, I had to quit on the last year for obvious reasons. I guess I’d like to go to university but with this and… a future child I don’t think it’ll be possible. I wouldn’t know what career to follow anyway.” Lola shrugged.
"I think I’ll go for the beer? It might help to make this conversation easier.“ She chuckled. "I’m twenty-two.” She continued. Ian came back and she thanked him the beer. “Since the point of this is getting to know each other, I don’t mind telling you.” She took a swig of the liquid and continued.
“It happened in a party, I was 16. I used to drink a lot at that time,” she chuckled. “You could say I was in a serious relationship, if it ever was that. And as many other times we were playing some drinking game, then found an ampty room and well… I was on the pill, but after that night I got sick, maybe after drinking too much, and I threw up for a couple of days so the pill didn’t do its work. And that’s it. Travis, my boyfriend, took off. And my family asked me to… terminate it. I said I would but then ran away."
Letting out a sigh she took a long swig of beer, and finally looked at Ian. "That’s my story. Well, part of it. What about you? Did you have a something serious before your letter came?”
Ian smiled slightly and then he said: “I get it I don’t really have anything to spend money other than bills, and beer it kind of adds up after a while.” He shrugged slightly then he looked around and stood up and went o grab her a beer deciding to grab him one as well chuckling quietly. “We could work out that stuff when the time comes.” He smiled a little and then he handed the girl a beer as she continued to speak.
He nodded as she spoke and took a drink of beer. He listened to get and then when she was done he spoke: “Have you talked to your family any sense you left.” He tried to decide whether or not he should put his two cents in and eventually decided for it “That’s pretty shitty of them I mean it was your decision if you wanted to keep them busy they should have supported you even if they thought it was wrong... families are shit.” He looked at her and then he looked around “I mean if that’s too personal I get it family shit is sensitive sometimes.”
He looked around and took a drink of his beer hoping that it would give him more courage to talk a little more about his past. “Do you mean like any serious relationships or like anything that like seriously impacted my life? Cause I haven’t really had a serious relationship since high school, it didn’t really end well. Just to clarify that one wasn’t my fault.” He scratched his neck not sure what to do hoping he had succeeded in changing the subject.”

Hey! Your plan sounds like my plan! Screw making friends. I have enough of those.
Maybe this website wasn’t a completly shit idea after all lol
leilaxfavreau:
Who says you can’t make friends by drinking and complaining?
We could give it a try, what would you like to first complain about?
That’s some next level thinking there
Well to start I would like to complain about the government

I’ve been low key freaking out since day one but the freak out is so much worse now. What do I do? How do I not freak out?
I have no idea I don’t really know how to not freak out I just internalize it and end up punching things.

“Uh… yeah, please. I’d appreciate it.” She returned the glass to him and listened as he spoke. “My place is not much bigger, just a mini kitchen, dinning room and living room, a bathroom and a bedroom since Selina and I share it. And we don’t live in a great neighbourhood either, so… Maybe we should look something a bit bigger?” She suggested. Thinking that surely she and her daughter would still sleep together and Ian in the spare room, which of course was going to be awkard as hell. “About jobs… as you now I’m a waitress at the dinner and sometimes barmaid on the weekends when I get called. I have an interview in a club in a couple of days so maybe I’ll get a permanent job, but it’s nothing sure. I’m also attending night school.” Lola added.
She had to chuckle at his last comment. “I hope it’s not, because I…” She cleared her throat. “Well, I got pregnant after one of those high school games. Well, it was not a game, just, well, never mind. Maybe that’s too much for the this conversation.” She waved a hand. “How old are you?” She asked immediately. “It wasn’t stated in the letter.”
“I have a good bit of money saved up I’ve been saving since I was like twenty in case I wanted to move or anything. Like I said it’s a pretty good job I have like a hundred and eight grand in savings. If I started saving now I could probably get more pretty quickly. It’s crazy how much people are willing to pay to get in the club.” He walked over to his sink and filled up the glass. He paused for a moment and then he said: “So, what are you going to night school for like what are you wanting to be?” He looked around and then he said: “Do you want anything else to drink there aren’t really many options just water milk, orange juice, and beer.”
He smirked slightly when she spoke then he said: “I don’t think it’s too much for this conversation, but If you don’t feel like talking about it or whatever you don’t have to.” He looked around and then he said: “I’m 25, what about you, how old are you?”
So, I think I’m supposed to post on here to make friends or whatever. All I really want to do though is drink, and complain so...
angelreports:
All the beverages! lol Well, the usual coffee, tea, soda and tons of beer. My papa is bringing lots of the stronger stuff so I think we’ll be good! Ya comin’?
tbh you had me at beer (actually coffee, but we’re with beer cause it sounds cooler.) I will definitely be there.

“… Yeah! Basically. That’s pretty much exactly what I mean, yep.” He confirmed, sighing loudly. Stupid marriage law…
“I’m really glad we’re on the same page here I would hate to be around someone who likes to make their own choices.”

“Yeah, yeah, tap water is fine. Thanks” She didn’t know she was that thirsty until she realised she drank all the water. “It’s good to know I’m not the only one.” Lola sighed, a little more relieved, even let out a little chuckle.
“I don’t know how this works. Gotta admit that my friends already went throguh this but it didn’t occured to me how was the… process, for them. Well, I wanted to, but I try not to be noisy so I didn’t ask anything. I guess a middle group would work? We already know we’ll get married so the awkward conversation about out hopes for the future can be skipped. I think this conversation is awkward enough already.”
Lola ran her hand through her hair, remembering that her hair was up in a pony tail. Pulling the hair tie she let her curls free, her head hurting slightly after the tight grip, massaging the scalp for a few seconds, she then moved part of her hair the left side. “So… I guess we could just pop questions and hope that it’s enough to get to know something about the other? We don’t have to do the dating thing, I guess.” She shrugged.
He looked over and noticed how quickly she drank the water “Um, do you want another glass?” He looked around and then he said: “Yeah this whole situation is kind of unexpected would be a good word I guess.”
“Yeah, I don’t really have many friends to ask about this whole thing.” He rubbed his neck looking for something to do with his hands. He nodded and then he said, “Yeah, that part of the future is kind of being made for us.” He paused for a moment and then he said “So, what about the part of our future we can control like jobs and where you want to live, and that um kind of stuff. I mean we obviously aren’t living here cause space and this isn’t really the best neighborhood or anything.”
He looked around watching her as she took her hair down his eyes quickly checking her out.” He looked around trying to play it off feeling weirder about things that he usually would. “So, um.” he tried to think of the first question that popped into his head “Fuck, I feel like we’re in high school playing some weird party game.”
GOOD NEWS!
The bonfire is being moved to a heated tent. I messaged all of you the new address so please come!!!!
What kinda of beverages are going to be provided this bonfire? Or is it more of a BYOB situation?
Holy shit, I’m literally getting married this weekend. Is now a good time to panic?
I mean not really but I guess it’s better to just be panicked the week before instead of being in a constant state of panic from the time you got the letter to your wedding day.

Our kid. Yes, it sounded freaking weird. She didn’t like the thought of Ian being a… step-father for her girl, but that was what he was going to be. An stranger would be her step-father. “Oh, right. No, I didn’t tell you. Her name is Selina, and she’s four. She has no idea about all this so it’s way to soon to do the moving now. And uh… I’d rather wait until I get to know you better before I introduce you both.” Lola hurried to held her hands up. “I don’t mean it in a bad way, it’s nothing personal, I just- I want to know who’s going to be living with us for…well, a while. After you meet her I guess we could… we can move together then. It doesn’t make a difference if it’s before or after the wedding because it’s gonna happen anyway.”
Swallowing, she wet her lips and cleared her throat which was suddenly dry. “Uh… Can I ask for some water? Please?” As Lola waited, she kept talking. “I’m not sure where to ask, I guess through that website, it seems like all the news are posted there so either of us could just drop the question and if we don’t get an answer we can ask our friends or someone else for some guidance.”
Lola smiled at Ian as she grabbed the glass from his hand. “Sorry about all the rambling and the stuttering, I don’t usually get this nervous, I just hadn’t seen this meeting happening like this.”
Ian rubbed his hand against the back of his neck as he thought about everything. He was worried about if he could rais a kid. He looked at her and then he said: “Yeah I understand it probably wouldn’t be a good idea to let some strange man you didn’t even know about your kind.” He thought for a moment about whether or not he thought that he would be good for the kid then feeling more nervous than he already did.
He chewed on his lip gently then he said: “So um how should we go around this getting to know each other shit.” He made a mental note that he needed to start watching his language. “Like should we just go about this like we’re dating or should we speed it up.” He stood up and he got a glass from the cabinet and he filled it with water from the sink. “Um, tap water is okay right?” He looked around as he waited for an answer. “That would probably work.”
He walked back over to her and handed her the glass.“It’s all good I’m feeling a little more nervous than usual too.”

Not knowing how to move around a place that was not hers, Lola awkwardly hung her coats on the chair and sat down, keeping some distance would be a good thing if they were going to discuss about… their future. “Uh… Well… I to be honest… I have no idea. I was trying to make a list when I got the letter but then I kinda freaked out a little and didn’t even think where to start.” Lola opened and closed her mouth at his question, to which she had no answer either.
“I have no clue. There was not much information in my letter, just your name and phone number. We should send an e-mail or go talk with somebody because having another kid is not something I was wishing and the longest we can drag this the better.”
Clearing her throat, Lola focused on the surroundings. “Hm… We’ll still have to ahm… live together… And, well, how are we gonna do that?” She asked, fidgeting with her fingers, the whole situation was akward, the discussion topic was not the one Lola liked and Ian made her feel nervous. Thinking in his words, the thought that if… when they lived together, there were going to be kid’s stuff mostly everywhere, and not only that but feminine things.
He thought for a moment about what they should talk about he listened to her as she spoke. “Yeah, I’ve kinda been trying to put off thinking about it until I had to think about it. I don’t really think I had a plan on what I was going to do.” He tapped his hand on his bed as he tried to think of what he should say.
“That could work we can work that out when the times could I guess, or whenever you want to. Do you have any idea who we would call or email or whatever.”
“Do you think we should start living together before or after we get married. Like I understand that now is way too soon for both of us especially with your kid being a factor. What’s their name you might have already told me, but I was kind of on like an information overload, and saying your kid sounds kind of like they aren’t going to be our kid eventually... fuck that sounds weird coming out of my mouth.”‘

Magenta: Do you prefer dogs or cats?
I prefer dogs, I mean I don’t have anything against cats. It’s just that dogs are much more friendly, and if I didn’t have a small apartment, and was home more I would definitely want some.”
Deep: How do you take your coffee?
While my appearance might suggest otherwise I take my coffee as basically coffee flavored milk. I’m not a big fan of coffee’s bitter taste.

“That sounds good. And you’ve definitely got the look for a bouncer.” Lola said with a chuckle. “What’s the club name? Bet you’ve seen a lot of interesting things. You get to kick people out much?” She sighed. “I can’t remember the last time I went to a club, like to go and have fun and not to work.” Those early years looked far behind, she missed it but not that much to leave her daughter every weekend to go out.
Lola was kind of nervous as she walked into his apartment, with no one else around, just her and Ian and she knew nothing of him. And no one knew she was here, either. Maybe I should have texted Keely or Cait, she thought. Or staying at the dinner. But it was too late. And true to his words, his place was emptier than hers; as far as she could see there was a table and just a couple of chairs, a TV with a console, no kitchenware besides a plate and a glass that she catched sight of, and there was a jeans hanging on the backrest of a chair along with a shirt.
“It… it looks lonely.” She let out, then looked at him with a bashful smile. “Sorry.” She began taking off her coats.
He laughed slightly and then he said “It’s called sugar east. Yeah, there have been a lot of fights there as you can guess.” He looked at her, and then he said “The older I get the less I want to go clubbing. It might just because when you’re working here you’re not allowed to be drunk.” He shrugged slightly “drunk people are way more annoying when you’re sober and trying to keep them from being dumb.”
He looked around his room suddenly more aware of how empty it was, and then he sat down on his bed. “So like what exactly do we need to like talk about like there’s a lot so where should we start.” He paused for a moment, and then he thought about how different everything was going to be soon. He thought for a moment and then he said “Do you know if the rules for having a kid is any different. Like do we get any extra time or anything for when we need to have a kid by because going from not knowing other to being married with two kids in a year seems a little... jarring.”
“Yeah, I’m not around here that much really, and um when I am there’s not really any need for much more than this.”
