"Isamu, at Your Service", or "IAYS" for short, is a sci-fi sort of verse for original characters beloving to myself (@pandrena) and Selwyn (@servantparent).
this is the official blog for "Isamu, at Your Service" aka IAYS! It is an oc project created by myself ( @pandrena) and Selwyn ( @servantparent). it contains characters created by both of us, and together we've weaved together a nice little ...well. it's a mildly dystopian world about evil governments and mutants...and of course, the monsters that the government wants dead. It's a nice little tale!

PLOT SUMMARY
Iays focuses on a sort of dystopian sci-fi world with an iron fisted and basically big brother government that controls it all. Known as "The Agency", the main goal that this government has is the eradication of all monsters. To do this, they've made "monsters" of their own - mutants , more accurately, by mixing animal DNA with kidnapped children. There is no sugarcoating that; the Agency kidnaps kids to experiment on of all ages. It is not pretty.
But the mutants are crucial to the Agency's goal, as stated - they work as "Agents" who seek out and kill monsters of all types. These "beasts" range from mythical beings or cryptids to eldritch beings. It even applies to any "rogue" mutants with no relations to the Government. Whether they are "unregistered" or they simply escaped and are trying to live on their own now, that sort of thing isn't allowed.
Iays generally follows a currently-vague plot of the Agency's mutants realizing their lives are pretty empty and all they've been taught is sick and wrong - that they should rebel. While not an easy task, it isn't impossible...Right?
The story's main trio is that of Isamu Kiyaku, Topaz Cleanse, and Calvin Evans. The three are a bit of a funny group, with their work for the Agency only paying half the bills of their apartment. The rest is by being some sort of makeshift "detective agency" that helps people with ordinary situations and problems. At a particular point, they meet a character named Wes, who will unintentionally be a huge turning point for the rest of the world - especially regarding Isamu's life.
A reference for a sort of secondary/side character, Rande! He's in many of my projects (such as Crop Haven) but that means he belongs here, too. Here's a fake profile for him!
NAME: Randevous "Rande" Ashton
AGE: 25 years old; 2 years old upon initial arrival to the Agency.
MUTANT TYPE: Fox
SPECIALTIES: Hacking, tech support
RANK: Mid Ranking
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Black hair, light green eyes. He has fox features, colored orange and tipped white. He normally dresses in a peach scarf and green jacket. His ears measure about 8 inches (20 cm) and have piercings.
FILE DESCRIPTION: Randevous is a troublesome, but useful specimen. He is a highly skilled hacker, even able to decrypt much of the Agency's system. This is dangerous, but he has not done harm yet. Watch this behavior carefully, so that it does not cause issues. Regardless, technology is his specialty.
Randevous is a Mid Ranking agent for his usefulness on missions. Outside of hacking, he is agile and physically stronger than he appears. He is tasked with watching Eli Noire, the monster who works for the Agency's clinic. He may be close with them, but this is not an issue as it gains Eli's trust, and thus incidentally encourages them to behave for his sake.
PERMISSIONS: Randevous is permitted and encouraged to visit Eli Noire. He is entrusted with their true monstrous self, and the Agency permits a relationship between them until further notice. Randevous is permitted to access certain data of the Agency, such as the details regarding other agents. He is not permitted to hack the Agency any further. He is permitted to invent and tinker with machinery on his own time, although he is not permitted to build weapons, bombs, or other things that could cause interference.
FILE NOTES: Randevous is a transgender male, and is allowed to identify as such. His original name was deleted from the systems so as not to cause confusion. He enjoys reading and exploring. Keep an eye on his reckless and rebellious nature, for he is known not to follow instructions to the fullest extent. Finally, unknown to Randevous, he is part satyr and thus part monster. This is allowed for research purposes.
Topaz's ref has been completed a while, but I only now managed to get her "database" profile written.

NAME: Topaz Cleanse
AGE: 24 years old; 6 years old upon initial arrival to the Agency.
MUTANT TYPE: Grizzly Bear
SPECIALTIES: Combat, Strength, Stamina
RANK: Low Ranking
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Light green hair with three standing strands. Body incredibly strong and muscular in her arms. Legs are paws, with fur leading up her body to her stomach, chest, and providing her with a tail. Wears a white dress and gold accessories and similar gold sandals. Height is 157cm, or 5'2".
FILE DESCRIPTION: Topaz is an overwhelmingly powerful mutant controlled only through her desire to protect her friends. This is behavior that has made her a Low Ranking mutant, and will keep her as such until the Agency deems her a problem experiment. Her rank is somewhat raised to "Mid Ranking" however, thanks to ER bond with Isamu Kiyaku.
Unlike Isamu's ability to control Calvin, Isamu seems to cause more issue with Topaz around. This is a problem that should be stamped out, but it isn't clear how to do that at this time without extermination entirely. Topaz has a habit of flirting with other mutants of feminine presentation, although it is never serious and often obnoxious. It appears harmless.
Overall, Topaz must be observed further to decide upon her usefulness towards the Agency. It is not looking as if luck favors her. She does not seem to care.
PERMISSIONS: Topaz is granted the freedom of living with Isamu in an apartment outside of HQ. Topaz is allowed to assist Isamu in his self employed "Detective" job. Topaz is provided with a cell phone paid by whoever has spare money to share with her. She is allowed to be outside, but supervision is advised. Do not let her get into brawls on the streets. Do not allow her to irritate Isamu, although this is hard to do. Stop the situation as quietly as possible if it occurs..
FILE NOTES: Topaz is very protective of mutants in need. She suffers from survivor's guilt after her mother was killed and Topaz was unable to be there to protect her. This has been observed, at the least. She is stubborn, also inspired by her mother's refusal to hand her daughter over. This is an ongoing issue, and has ended with many fights. Be aware of this and watch her.
Next up for the references is Calvin! He is one of the main characters, alongside Isamu and Topaz. As with Isamu, I wrote up a little pretend database descrption to learn about him!
NAME: Calvin Evans
AGE: 26 years old; 8 years old upon initial arrival to the Agency.
MUTANT TYPE: Cat
SPECIALTIES: Agility, Speed
RANK: Low Ranking
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: White and purple hair that mix with pointed ears with purple tips. Yellow bell collar. Fluffy tail tipped with purple. Ragged, oversized clothing that he has chosen himself. Sometimes wears a beanie to cover his ears. Abnormally skinny, ribs visible. Height is 180cm, or 5'11". Of unknown descent.
FILE DESCRIPTION: Calvin Evans is a questionable specimen. He is terrified of all Agency and non-Agency individuals, workers, caretakers, et cetera. He is terrified of his own shadow in a genuine sense. Normally, he would be disposed of, but his agility is of incredible use. He can jump very high, and squeeze into small spaces. His claws are also of assistance in combat, although he needs to get close enough to a foe to achieve damage. He is fast on his feet.
Normally, Calvin is a Low Ranking agent. Because of a close bond with the High Ranking agent Isamu Kiyaku, Calvin has been promoted to a "Mid Ranking." This is essentially a second chance, and should he wander too far from usefulness for the Agency, he will likely be disposed of.
PERMISSIONS: Calvin is given the freedom of living with Isamu in an apartment outside of HQ. Calvin is allowed to assist Isamu in his self employed "detective" job. Calvin is provided with a cell phone he must pay for himself. He is allowed to be outside, although it is acceptable to interrupt him if he is in trouble or causing a ruckus of any type with his fear. Help him if he is stuck in a tree.
FILE NOTES: Calvin is soothed by books and writing. He is not claustrophobic, and on the contrary, prefers small crevices for feelings of safety. Calvin was a foster child for many years before he was taken into the agency. It is plausible that the lack of stability in a home lead to the clingy behavior he holds now. He was taken into the Agency at an older age than most children, and this certainly did not help his personality either.

NAME: Isamu Kiyaku
AGE: 23 years old; 5 years old upon initial arrival to the Agency.
MUTANT TYPE: Chameleon
SPECIALTIES: Stealth, Combat
RANK: High Ranking
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Black hair pulled into a low ponytail. Yellow eyes with slit pupils. Green scales beneath his clothes and mask in his chosen ninja garb. Height is 195 cm, or 6'5". Of Japanese descent.
FILE DESCRIPTION: Isamu Kiyaku is a sturdy specimen with strong loyalty to the Agency's mission. He is skilled with two katanas, as well as smoke bombs. He is able to turn invisible and has a keen eye for locating traps. He has not once been injured by a laser nor bullet. He is currently a "High Ranking" agent, but is lowered into the technical category of "Mid Ranking" due to associations.
Those "associations" mentioned revolve around his situation with the "Low Ranking" Calvin Evans and Topaz Cleanse. They are loyal to him, and he seems capable of encouraging their usefulness to the Agency. However, Topaz and Calvin are lazy and are being given a second chance to improve said usefulness. If they do not improve, two may pose a risk to Isamu's loyalty in the future, and should they do so, it will be decided whether to dispose of them.
PERMISSIONS: Isamu has the freedom to rent an apartment outside of HQ. He is given the freedom to do a part time job as a self employed "detective" in order to pay rent, aside from the funds provided by the Agency. If spotted outside, there is no reason to interrupt him. Isamu is provided with a cell phone free of charges for communication with other agents and HQ.
FILE NOTES: Isamu Kiyaku can be easily enraged, having loose control over his emotions at times. Avoid provoking him unless it is helpful for a mission or other reason. He has a sister, but he is unaware of this fact and believes all of his family deceased. He has expressed little response to the trauma of his family's death. It is speculated he used those emotions to fuel his need for combat.
