Beyonce's Post Maternity Look Is Menswear?
A week ago, Beyoncé—the reigning queen of ostensibly breaking Instagram, in addition to her myriad roles as superstar, super-mother, and superhuman—posted the first-ever public picture of her and Jay-Z’s new twins, Sir and Rumi. In the scene, she’s holding the babies, standing in front of a floral archway over a serene vista where the sky fades into the sea. Her veil is aqua, and her neon-violet dress is as exotically plumed and petaled as the backdrop.
That dress was designed by none other than Alejandro Gómez Palomo of the romantic menswear label Palomo Spain. “It’s the only piece I’ve ever made like that,” said Palomo over an early-morning phone call between New York and the Iberian Peninsula. “It is vintage silk organza from a really old couture textile shop in Córdoba, Spain, which is near where I live,” Palomo said. “It is circa either the 1950s or the 1960s. I thought, Oh my God, I am so in love with this fabric. It had a midcentury quality—but we changed that. It’s exquisite . . . and I can never find it again, of course. This Oscar season the fellas were fun, fresh, and daring whether it be in the suits shape or color, Menswear was at all time high, but wait with the wedding season quickly approaching my Grooms always get in left in the wing to settle for the classic black tux, well guys here’s the “how to” and “what to” to have you looking and feeling like a dapper gentleman and after all its also your big day right?
Well First things first Bowtie’s, Bowtie’s and more Bowtie’s they were all over the 2016 Oscar red carpet but their also the perfect twist for a typical tux and it can also be your chance for a pop of color or even go the Ryan Gosling route in Gucci and do no color at all it was a subtle but eye catching statement that truly made the look stand out or even Chris Rock in Burberry who opted for a black bowtie against his white jacket and shirt. Ok now that we got bowties out of the way lets get in to Lapel Shape I get it your probably like don’t they all look the same NO! fellas they can totally change the feel and vibe of your tux take Michael B. Jordan for example in Ralph Lauren Purple Label for Instance His wide Oval Shaped double breasted lapel was that simple thing that made a classic tux a lot more edgy and fun, and our fave over here at World Bride Magazine Michael Fassbender didn’t shy away from the lapel trend in Tom Ford the silk textured lapel was red carpet gold, and while were on the topic of texture lets look at Eddie redmayne sporting a black velvet Alexander McQueen suit jacket making the look Modern but maintaining that dapper look. And Ah at last the Most Obvious thing that vamps that wedding day tux up the Jacket Shape if you want a more youthful look goo for a rounded shape tux jacket like Pharrell Williams in Lanvin or if you’re a man of certain age squared is always the way to go like Russell Crowe in Giorgio Armani Classic and effortless.
So there you have it guys this coming season your “brides to be” may have a little competition on the big day if she can were lace cut outs why can’t you spice things up with some color and shape. Like I said its you day as well and those photos will be memories so why not be captured in style.
