"So how high is my bounty?"
“I reckon if they had to add anymore zeroes to the end of it they’d have to write it so small it wouldn’t be legible. Even half if I brought you back dead would be enough for me to retire on, which begs the question why I haven’t shot you down yet. Bet you’re wonderin’ that yourself.”
“Mortals find themselves in awe of my presence quite often, actually. You’re no doubt any different - basking in the greatness of holy light is life altering for some. Stare a little longer if you must, but I do have work to do.”
“Darlin’, you’re pretty, but I’d be a piss poor bounty hunter if I held my shot every time a pretty face looked my way. Good to know you’re confident in yourself, though. Means I found the right woman.”
“Then humor me; why are you not shooting? If my holy aura isn’t enough to dissuade you, what has you all choked up?”
“Because you’re a fuckin’ angel. And that’s useful for me. You see, as high as the bounty is on your head, there are bigger ones out there. Demons and devils and all that crap are runnin’ rampant, and when bad folk run rampant they earn a bounty. And it’s rumored that takin’ them down is your specialty. So while I can shoot you down now and cash in, I can also make triple that by gettin’ you to help me take a few of them bad folk down.”
“And what had wormed its way into your head to make you think I would want to bother helping some mortal? I certainly don’t need your help, and I don’t need to make any sort of currency for your world. You’ve got a nice face, but that’s not near enough to make me want to lift a finger in your favor.”
