you know, difficult as this year has been, i've managed to accomplish some things

i laughed more, i found a semblance of peace, i learned to love the time i spend with just myself, i kept to my working out routines, i branched out in my reading tastes, i stopped pressuring myself to read all the books and the new releases, i became interested in new things, i learned to stop expecting things from people, i cried less

to most people, it might not seem like much, but this was me clawing myself up from a depression that i navigated alone. sure, i still have bad days, lots of them, but i know better days will come

Realising you don’t have to tell anyone anything about yourself or your life is.. a very liberating feeling. Realising you can tell the trees and the rivers and the lakes and the mountains instead? Even more so.
