Saccharine [Noire & Giulio]
Giulio sighed as he stepped out of the meeting room. Heād been in there for a good couple of hours, quiet as he listened to the leaders of Pravaās mafia argue back and forth.
Heād remained mostly silent. Why he was required to attend had been beyond him. Sure, he was supposed to act as mouthpiece to the CR:5, which was a fairly poor decision considering that he hardly ever spoke unless spoken to, but most of their discussion ranged from their rackets (further demonstrating how poor the decision to send him had been, since Giulio had no rackets to begin with) to hushed discussions amongst the elders over the foolishness of the CR:5 for recruiting such a āyoungsterā for a captain.
Irritating, but with enough repetition of his mantra āThis is for Gian, youāre doing this for Gianā, he managed to brainwash himself into surviving the meeting without slaughtering anyone.
At last, he was free for a couple of hours. There would inevitably be another meeting, but heād cross that bridge when he got to it.
He exited Hotel Mariposa, mentally reciting a list of things he needed to do.
First, he probably needed to call headquarters back in Daivan to report his status. And then heād have to acquire some weaponry, just in caā
He stopped dead in his tracks, the smell of sugar pervading his senses and drowning out all other thoughts. As if on queue, his stomach let out an unearthly rumble, and his feet automatically moved him towards the source of the smell.
Ooh, a bake sale.
He was certainly out of place amongst the abundance of girls touting colourful pastries which were obviously made for and targeted at their gender, but itās not like he cared. He was hungry. There were sweets. Thatās all he needed to know.
He approached one of the girls holding a platter of cupcakes and tapped her shoulder.
"Um⦠Is it alright?ā¦" He enquired, pointing at the colourful piece of confectionary.
