Summary: After inheriting a large mansion near the forest and a not so small fortune from your grandparents, you start feel lonely in big house without no one there just few spiders here and there. Your best friend suggests adopting a hybrid as a solution. When you hesitantly agree to see them, you quickly find yourself trying to adopt them all.

Sorry there was no update about the story for so long and that I didn’t give any information for so long.I was at vacation first and I didn’t have internet, also I didn’t have my computer with me where I write. I also had to take some time for mental health and my personal life because it got hard.
But I’m finally fine so I’m sitting my ass, pulling laptop and going back to writing the story. I will try to post new chapter this week and I think I will be able to do so.

When you got to your house you quickly cleaned the rooms and throw out some empty take out boxes. Now your house looks a lot better and more welcoming for your new guests. You really wanted to make it look really welcoming for them, because you know this situation might be quite hard for them.
No dirty dishes or clothes laying on the couch. You want them to feel like at home here.
The nerves in your body are getting harder to ignore with every minute. You are really stressing about them soon arriving to your house. Now there is no backing out. You made an important choice to adopt them and you can't let them down, you can't.
Even the one though of disappointing them or backing out now breaks your heart. You can't do that to them. You have to take care of them. They were so lovely, they totally stole your heart the first second you saw them all.
You look at the clock, they should arrive soon. The anticipation makes you walk in circle in the hallway, you can't even sit down. You don’t want to be so stressed, but you are. Doesn't hybrid have good smell instincts? Won't they know you are stressing? What if they will mixed up your stress with regretting the adoption?
You can't stress, you need to calm down, you keep repeating it to yourself. And the most important, you don't regret any decisions you made today. You have to calm yourself down, you have to do that for them. They probably gonna be stress themselves. You can't add more anxiety to them. Especially Jin, he was so scared even in the hybrid center. If he will smell your stress he might get even more anxious, and you don't want that.
You do some breathing exercises to calm your mind and body. It's working, not much, but it's working. When you think about doing some tea to relax, you hear the ringing at your door. It makes you jump. You are so stressed. But you do deep breath and go open the door. You try your best to stay as calm as possible.
You open the door and you see a men, probably a worker from hybrid center, and five hybrids standing behind him. Your new hybrids.
"Oh hi." He great you with a smile. "I guess you are the one that adopted them?" You nod. "Great, I was scared I won't be able to find this house, you live in the middle of the forest." He laughs. "But I guess it's perfect condition for you to adopt them, they will definitely love the nature. I see you already signed everything so there's no need for me to stay here any longer. I have to go back to work so I'm leaving them to you."
You say goodbye to each other and then your eyes go back to the hybrids that are still standing at your porch.
"Come in! Makes yourself at home..." You really don't know what to say to them. You feel so awkward. Should you offer them something? Or should you ask them some questions? You feel anxiety rising in your body again. You quickly try to calm yourself. Don't get stress now, not when they are close and can basically smell your feelings.
They all walk inside. Of course the two packs walk in first. They immediately start to look around your hallway, inspecting every corner. Jin is the most hesitated about walking inside. He stand at the porch looking so stiff and full of anxiety. You feel a need to help him be more comfortable. It's his house now too.
"Jin..." His eyes automatically go to your face. You smile reassuringly. "Why don't you come inside? I can show you around the house, and help you choose a room that you would like to be your from now. You need to choose your rooms anyway, and I don't think the rest would be mad to explore and wonder around the house on they own."
“Y-yeah, sure. I would be thankful" He smile slightly. You see that his body gets a little bit more relaxed. He still looks stressed and scared but it's good starting point.
“Great, let me just talk with them for a second, then I’m gonna go with you, alright?” He nods his head. He looks so shy. It makes you want to protect him and help him to feel more confident. You turn around to face the rest of the boys. “I see you already started to explore the house, why don’t you go see it all? You can walk around freely and choose the rooms that you will like the most.”
“We would love to explore the house.” Hoseok smiles at you. “Can we walk everywhere?” You see excitement in their eyes.
“Of course, why not?” You so happy that at least some of them are so happy and excited. “Oh, I would only ask you to not enter the last room at the end of that corridor, it’s my office and I have some important staff there. I also would like you to not go inside my room, I didn’t have time to clean it properly and I don’t want you to see that mess. My room is at the second floor, you will know it’s mine room because it has painted flowers on the doors.”
“Of course, we will remember that” Namjoon gives you a polite smile, both him and Hoseok go to explore the house on their own.
“You won’t go with us?” Jimin looks curious why would you not go with them. “You could show us the house.” He gives you flirty smirk.
“I would love to show you around the house, but I thought I would go with Jin first and help him choose the room for him. But we can meet later in the living room, we should probably talk and get to know each other better?” You don’t want to tell them that the reason you would want to go alone with Jin first, is because you want him to feel less stressed. You think that might make him feel embarrass and you don’t want to add him more stress. But you all should probably meet later in living room and try to get to know each other better, and you also want to make sure that the hybrids would get along.
“Yeah, sure” Smile slowly disappear from Jimin face, he quickly try to hide his disappointment. “We will meet later then...” Him and Yoongi walk away to see the house. But before they both disappear from your sight you see Jimin giving a death glare to Jin.
You can feel that his body automatically gets tense. He shrinks in his own body, trying to make himself smaller, or you could even say that he is trying to disappear.
“Hey… Why don’t we go choose a room for you?” You speak to him softly, you don’t want to scare him more. When you both make eye contact you smile to him reassuringly. He still looks very frighten but he tries to hide it.
“That would be nice… I think I would like to get some rest...” His whole body still looks extremely tense but you decide to not comment on that.
“I think everyone here needs some time to rest… You can get however much time you want to rest in your room. Don’t feel pressure about it. Do you know where you would like to have a room? It’s a big house and there is plenty of space for you to choose from.”
“I don’t know” He looks a little hesitant, it looks like he is fighting with himself inside about saying something to you. “Could… could I get a room close to you? Or at least at the same floor as you? I think it would make me feel safer, especially at the beginning… Unless it’s a problem, I don’t have to have room close to you if that’s not okay with you-”
“Jin it’s okay… I don’t mind you having room close to mine. I would also feel safer to know you are close.” You reassure him immediately. It’s so hard for you to see him so anxious. You really need to talk with him about it soon. You can’t let him be constantly so scared, it can’t be good for his health. “My room is on the second floor, is that okay with you?”
He says that’s not a problem for him. You both go upstairs. While you are walking you explains and show him where are the most important things in the house like kitchen, living room, patio, bedrooms and bathrooms.
You show him all the rooms at the second floor. He decided to take the most dim room. He explains that he is not the biggest fan of sun, and that he likes when his room is cold and there is not much sun getting through the window to his room. You think that might be because he is sugar glider hybrid.
“I know the rooms now looks kinda obscure… there is not much going on here, just bed, closet and desk.” You feel bad that you didn’t decorate the rooms more, but maybe it’s good because the hybrids will have a chance to decorate them with things that they like. “I will take you guys on the shopping or we can even order online if you want. You can choose whatever you like, and make your rooms look however you like.”
“No, no… This room is nice. But I would like to buy some things to decorate the room, if that is okay of course...” He looks so shy. It makes you want to take care of him and buy him everything he would want to have in his room.
“You can buy whatever you want, you don’t have to hold back with shopping.” His face lighten when you say that. “I wanted to ask you about something.” You don’t know how to talk with him about this, you don’t want to make him uncomfortable. “I see that you don’t feel very comfortable, especially around other hybrids. I just want to make sure you are okay here, and that you don’t regret the decision to come with me.”
“I-It’s really not a problem for me… I’m just not used to being around hybrids, predators hybrids… But it’s okay, I will get more relaxed with that after some time, I think so… Just please… I don’t want to go back, I really like you and the house is very nice too… I wouldn't want any other home.” He looks so sad and scared that you might want to send him back to hybrid center. This thought seems to really scares him.
“I don’t plan to send any of you away. I wouldn't do that. You don’t have to worry. I just want you to get along and I don’t want you guys to feel bad or intimidated in each other presence.” You reassure him quickly. “I really want you to get along. I know it might be hard but I really like you all and I wouldn't want to send you away” Even saying it out loud is hard for you. Sending them away? It’s not happening. You like them too much to do so.
“I know, but if we won’t get well together there is no other option then to send us away, at least some of us. You could always keep one pack with you...” He looks so sure that they won’t get together, and it’s breaking your heart, you really need to work with them to make them like each others more.
“I told you. I’m not sending anyone away, I won’t do that to you guys. I made decision and I’m gonna stick with it.” How could they think you would just send them away like that, you are not that type of person. Also how someone could adopt hybrids and then send them away like they’re things you can just throw away. Did that happened to them before? Is that why Jin is so scared you would send him away? You really will need to make sure they know you don’t have in plans to send any of them away.
“I’m really grateful you choose to adopted me too, and I would like nothing more then to stay with you here but if they won’t like me I don’t want you to choose me over them. They deserve to have loving house.” His eyes are full of believe in what he just said. He cares for others more then for himself, even when the others are not so nice to him. They didn’t show him any type of kindness, they even where giving him looks full of hatred but he still would choose their happiness over his. It makes your heart ache in pain.
“Jin.” You look him straight in eyes. “I won’t send anyone away. Anyone. You all gonna stay here with me, if you would like that of course. I really want to give you a loving house. But I won’t make you stay with me if you don’t want that. But I will really like to live with all of you, just if you all would like to live with me here too.”
“I-” His eyes sparkles with different emotions. “I’m really thankful for that. I… I would like to stay here. I will try my best to get along with everybody… And once again, thank you.”
“You don’t have to thank me” They shouldn't thank you for adopting them. You feel like that’s make you seem like you did some superhero staff, but in reality you just adopted them. “Why don’t get comfortable in your room. You can rest here and we can all meet in living room in thirty minutes?”
His body tenses when you mention all of you meeting in one room. The sight of him still being so scared of others make you question so many things. But you think to yourself that everything will be fine. Even your friend told you they would need a time to grow to like each other, they are all in difficult situation right now. Sharing house with other hybrids and packs.
“Okay, I will be there in thirty minutes.” He is a little hesitant, but you see him clearly trying his best to stay positive.

You decide to go and check if two other packs found the rooms for themselves too. The cats hybrids also choose a room at the second floor, but at the other side of the hallway, they told you it’s because there is way more sun. You remember now that when you first saw them at hybrid center they were laying on the windowsill in the sun. That’s probably one of the traits that they got from cat DNA. You remember your grandparents had a cat when you were younger and he also liked to bask in the sun.
“You sure you want this room?” You can’t but ask them that question. The room that they choose is smaller then Jin one. It’s not small but it’s not the biggest one. And there are plenty of bigger rooms here, wouldn't it be better for two hybrids to have more space in their bedroom? “I’m sure there will be some bigger room for you…”
“Don’t worry, we don’t need much space and also this room has the most sun lighting through windows, so it’s all perfect.” Yoongi smiles softly. “Also you told us we can wonder around the house so it’s nice to have small and cosy room to sleep in.”
“Oh that’s might be good point, but if you would like to change the room later on feel free to do so. I want you to feel as comfortable here as you can.” You want to make sure that they know they have freedom to change their mind and choose anything they like.
“We will remember that.” He smiles once more. “But we might need bigger bed. This one here likes to toss and turn in bed all night” He looks at Jimin.
Jimin hissed at him back. It doesn’t look like they are fighting. It looks more like they are playfully teasing each other. It’s very sweet to see both of them having such a sweet relationship. You can’t help but hope that one day all the hybrids gonna get along that well with each other.
“We for sure can get you a bigger bed, I already talk with Jin that I would have to take you all for shopping one day, or at least buy some staff online for you. I wasn’t prepare to have hybrids at home so I don’t have much for you. I don’t have even any clothes for you. But if there is anything you need just tell me and I will get it for you guys.” You are so embarrass from how unprepared you are.
“Shopping would be nice. We could look around and decide what to get. And don’t worry to much about the clothes because we brought our clothes from hybrid center. But I wouldn’t mind to get some more clothes, the ones from hybrid center are not the most… fashionable pieces of clothing I have seen...” Jimin seems so exited at the thought of shopping.
“You can choose however much clothes you want. Really anything you need or want, I will gladly buy that for you guys.” You don’t mind to buy them things, you have a lot of money and it would be nice to see happiness on their faces.
“You shouldn't have said that. Our Jiminie has a little buying problem.” Yoongi looks at you hesitated, almost as he was already apologising for Jimin spending your money. But all Jimin do is smile at you brightly.
“Oh Yoongi stop being so boring. Let her spoil me if she wants.” Jimin smiles at you flirtatiously.
“Jimin...” Yoongi scolds Jimin. It’s clear for you who is in charge here.
“Okay, okay… You don’t have to buy me anything, but I won’t stop you if you will...” Jimin winks at you. Yoongi gives him scolding look once more. “you’re boring...” You can hear the last part that Jimin clearly said to Yoongi.
“He is a little brat… I’m so sorry, he doesn’t usually act like that.” Yoongi give you apologising look.
“There is no problem. And don’t worry about money, I have enough of them to spoil you all, so he can get something for himself too.” You calm Yoongi. “I probably should go now and check Namjoon and Hoseok too. We can meet in living room in twenty minutes, we probably should get to know each other better.”
When you are walking out of the room you can see Jimin giving you one more bright smile. You can’t help but smile at him back.
You found two last hybrids on the first floor. They are the only one that decided to stay on the lower floor. They definitely choose the biggest room from all of the hybrids, but it’s not surprising you. You remember how exited and energetic Hoseok were in hybrid center so it make sense for them to have a lot of space in their room.
“Hi, I see you both also found yourself a room?” Both of them looked at you when they heard your voice. You can see that both of their tails started to wiggle behind them as soon as they heard you. It’s so sweet how both of them are excited.
“Yeah! That’s room is fantastic, so much space. I really like it” Hoseok gives you big bright smile. His whole face is bright and excited. Namjoon seems to also be excited but he seems to be more composed from the two of them. “I also saw that your garden is very spacious..” His tail wiggle even more energetic when he brings up the garden. You can see that it’s also making Namjoon extra excited.
“I know, the garden is quite big, it’s sometimes to much to take care of too.” You remember when you came here for the first time after your grandparents funeral the grass was so tall you had to call your dad to help you mow the lawn. “If you want you can go outside freely. I think you would like to play in the garden?” You don’t even have to ask them. The pure excitement is written on their faces.
“We could? You aren’t scared that we gonna destroy it?..” Namjoon seems sceptical. You don’t understand, they are dog and wolf hybrids, it’s in their nature to play outside. They previous owners wouldn't let them play outside because they were scared the hybrids will destroy their gardens?
“Of course you can play outside. And also my garden is not in the best condition, I was thinking to take more care of it but it’s to big… And I think that the plants don’t like me the most, everything I ever tried to grown ended dying...” You remember the time you tried to grow a cactus and it’s died because you didn’t water it enough. A cactus died because of lack of water… You are definitely not a right person to take care of plants.
“I know how to take care of plants, I actually like to plant and take care of garden.” For the first time you see Namjoon be a little shy. He looks unsure if he should say that.
“I like it too.” Hoseok on the other hand looks so happy and confident to offer you his help. “We could take care of the garden. You just need to tell us what you would like us to do there and I’m sure we could help with that.”
“That would be nice to have some help. Maybe then the plants will last longer then week...” Hoseok laughs and Namjoon seems so close to laughing too. “I would almost forget. I planned that we all would meet in living room in fifteen minutes. You don’t have to rush, if you need more time you can come later, but it would be nice to spend some time together. We should all try to bond with each other. We could watch some films and eat some food together.”
Both of them get a little irritated when you mention spending time all together. You clearly see that all of the hybrids don’t like each other very much, but that only make you more sure that you have to spend time together and try to become closer. They can’t hate and ignore each other forever.
“Then we will be there in fifteen minutes.” Namjoon give you a quick smile. “Could we choose something to eat?”
“Yeah, sure. I can cook something or we can order something. I know some pretty good restaurants that offer take out. You can choose whatever you like.” They both agree on that.
You make sure they both don’t have anymore questions and you go to the living room. You make sure it’s clean and you start to browse food delivery offers.
You know this evening gonna be hard for all of you. The hybrids don’t like each other the most and some of them are scared of each other. It’s seems like a lot of can happen today. But you have to start somewhere. You can’t allow them to have that attitude to each other forever. And you decided that you have to start working on it from today. So many things could happen but it better happens now, when you can intervene, then it happening when you are out of the house. Today evening gonna be mess. You are so sure of that.
Sorry for being late with this chapter. The AO3 curse is trying to get me but I'm not gonna give up! (Kinda scared I tought it was all giggles...)

After you decided to adopt all five hybrids, Haeun led you to the office.
"I honestly didn't expect you to make such a decision." She is a litlle suprised. "But I'm not complaining. I know you're responsible person and you'll take care of them very well. I'm glad you made this decision, really. Oh... I didn't mention it before... But when I talked to the hybrids that you were coming to see them today, I asked if they would be willing to go with you... All together..."
"Haeun!... You shouldn’t have to get their hopes up. I mean, I want to take them all now, but I wasn't sure about it before. What if I didn't decide to take home anyone? They would just get their hopes up and then they would be disappointed..." I’m slightly angry at her.
"But you did. And also, I didn't tell them that you were definitely adopting them, so everyone knew that you were just looking around today. But I'm still sorry, I shouldn't have got their hopes up." She smiles, apologizing. "But now you've decided to take them all. Like I said before, they all have agreed to go home with you, even if it means that several hybrids, even from different packs, will have to live together."
“I thought hybrids were pretty territorial. Especially packs?” You are slightly confused.
“Yes, that is true. But everyone agreed that they will try their best to get along. The only one I’m worried about is Jin, since he will be the only prey hybrid in a house with two packs of predators… He said he would be able to handle it, but he still seemed to be a little stressed, especially when I mentioned the two cats and another alpha.” There’s a slight worry in her voice.
“Another alpha? I don’t get it...” You feel completely lost.
"Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you. Jin and Namjoon are both alphas. Yoongi is beta, Jimin and Hoseok are omegas. That means that at first the alphas might fight a little for dominance. Since Namjoon already has a pack and is not a prey hybrid, he has a better chance of getting the dominance in house. But Jin is older than him. Although he's still a prey hybrid. It might be a little hard for him at start. You will have to watch out for them a little so they don't get into to many conflicts, but they both promised to behave themselves." She explains everything.
"Oh... I see. Are you sure they're okay with that? I don't want it to be too difficult for them, I don't want anything to happen to Jin." The doubt in you is increasing, and you also feel some concern.
"Don't worry. I have talked with them about everything. If they thought they couldn't handle it, they wouldn't have agreed to do it. It might be hard for them to get along at first, but I really believe they'll get along well later. You will have to spend a little more time with them at first, so they can settle in. And of course help them to get along with each other, especially at the beginning." She smiles, trying to calm my nerves.
"Okay, if you say so, I will trust you... Bot I'm still a little bit nervous." You are a little bit more sure now, but you still feel a bit nervous.
"There's no need to get anxious, you will do great. And if you don't know what to do in a certain situation, feel free to message me or call me, I'll help you." She tries to calm me down even more.
"Okay. But what now? Can I still see them at first and talk to them, if they really want to come with me? I really want to make sure they're ready to come with me and live all together."
"Sure, I'll ask someone to bring them all here and you can talk and get to know each other. However, if someone decides they don’t want to go with you, we'll sort everything." She assures me and goes to bring everyone to the office.

After a while, Haeun finally come back to the office and brings the hybrids with herself. The cat hybrids enter first, they walk towards the couch you're sitting on. Only now do you get a glimpse of what they look like in their human form.
Jimin has gray hair, fluffy tail in the same color and a pair of beautiful white ears on top of his head. He quickly walk up to you, so he can sit as close to you as possible. He purrs slightly and says a quiet hello.
A second later, Yoongi enters and sits down next to Jimin, on the same couch as you two. He, on the other hand, has black hair, tail and a set of ears in matching color. He also greets you with a quiet hello.
You quickly greet them too and and take some more time to look at them, it is a first time you've seen them both in their human forms. You have to admit, they look amazing.
You don't even have time to start a proper conversation with them because Jin enters the room. You've seen him in his human form before, but only now you realize how truly tall he really is. You can easily tell that he is a lot taller then you and the two hybrids.
Jin looks around the room, slightly stressed, and spots a single chair to your right. It's close to you but far from the rest of the couches. He quickly takes the seat and greets you as he sits down next to you. You can easily tell he looks stressed or even a little scared.
You greet him too and smile reassuringly. He relaxes slightly at this and smiles back at you. You can see a slight blush on his cheeks.
The attention you're giving him seems to irritate the cats in some way, but they don't say anything. Just as you were about to ask them if something's wrong, the last two hybrids enter the room.
Once again, this is the first time you've seen this hybrids in their human form. Hoseok seems just as cheerful and energetic in his human form as he is in his animal form. His hair is a warm brown with subtle highlights. Two cute, floppy dog ears sit at the side of his head. His tail wags energetically behind him, smacking the person behind him.
Just then your eyes shift to Namjoon, who is behind him. He is big, even in his human form. He's tall, almost as tall as Jin, and his build is very muscular. You can clearly see his muscles even when they're covered by his shirt. His hair, just like Jimin's hai, are silver, but his is more of a blue tone silver. A pair of ears stands high on his head and moves with every sound that is made in the room.
They both greet you and sit down on the couch closest to the one you and the two cats are sitting on. Both dogs look a little disappointed that they can't sit next to you, but they quickly try to get ride of that expression from their faces.
Lastly, your friend enters and introduces everyone once more, then smiles happily at you all.
"So, now that you all know each other's names... I know you already talk with each other." Haeun says, looking at the hybrids. "But my friend wanted to meet with you too before she adopts you to make the final decision. Now I'll leave you alone so you can all get to know each other and have a talk."
Haeun walks out and leaves you alone in the room. You quickly glance around at the hybrids again and clearly notice the differences between them. This makes you doubt whether they'll actually get along.
Jin looks the most scared from them all. He sits quietly and stiffly with his head down, his shoulders hunched, and he only glances at you occasionally. Whenever he makes an eye contact with you, he blushes softly and looks away.
The two cat hybrids next to you, on the other hand, seem very calm and even relaxed, but ever since the dog hybrids arrived, they've started wrinkling their noses. As if their scent doesn't suit them?
The wolf and dog hybrids, on the other hand, looks the most excited. Hoseok keeps looking at you and smiling at you, and whenever you make eye contact, his tail begins to waggle faster and faster behind him. Namjoon is a bit calmer, but his excitement is still noticeble. His tail also wags faster every time your eyes make a contact.
The room is silent, and you wonder how to start the talk.
"So..." At your voice, all the hybrids turn to look at you. This causes a faint blush to appear on your cheeks at the sudden attention they all gave you. You clear your throat. "So. I know Haeun said you all agreed to come back with me even if it means living together, with the other packs."
All the hybrids nods in agreement.
"Still, I wanted to make sure you really meant it," you explain. "I know this might be difficult for you, so I want you to be confident in your decision. I also want to ask you to try to get along together if you all decide to go with me... and not to tease each other." You look at Jin with worry. The concern about him makes his eyes widen slightly and you can see that his cheek get a little red.
All the hybrids nod again and promise to behave.
You spend some more time talking with each other. You ask each one about things you need to know about them. Everyone mentions what diet is best for them and what they might need when they are in their animal form. You try your best to make sure you can provide all of the things and good living conditions.
When you finally realize you have no more questions and couldn't be more certain about your decision to adopt the hybrids, you decide to go and talk a little bit more with your friend.
"Oh, you're done talking already." She asks when she sees you. She clearly have been sitting in the hallway the whole time, waiting for you to finish talking. "So? Did everything clear up?" She's very curious if you'll definitely decide to adopt the hybrids.
“Yes, everything went well.” You say. “I will take them all.” When she hears this, your friend’s face automatically lights up.
"I knew you'd love them!" Her joy is contagious, any longer and you'll be jumping from joy yourself.
"There's just one problem. I drove here in a small car and I can't take them all with me." You say, apologizing. You weren't prepared to take all five the hybrids today.
"Oh, don't worry, we're prepared for situations like this. You can rent a larger van from us and take them all at once, or I can even ask one of our employees to bring them to your house." She offers various solutions. "You can also take them three of them and then come back for two more. I doubt anyone would mind waiting here for a bit more." She smiles reassuringly.
"I don't think I want them to wait any longer to be taken home. But I don't have a driver's license for larger vehicles. Do you think someone could bring them to me?" You don't want them to have wait any longer, but you won't be able to transport them yourself either.
"Sure, no problem, I'll ask someone to take them to you." She seems happier with each passing moment, but you don't blame her. These hybrids must have been here for a long time, so it's clear she's happy that they will have home. "You can go home now, prepare a bit for their arrival. I think someone will be able to drive them to you in about hour."
"Sure, I'll have time to prepare." You're already starting to feel anxious about the hybrids arrival. Everything will be fine, you'll be able to handle them, you keep repeting this to yourself. "Okay, then I'm on my way back. Please tell them it was very nice meeting them, and I can't wait for them to come."
"Sure, no problem." She hugs you and goes to take care of all the adoption related matters.
The entire ride home, you wonder what you need to prepare for their arrival. You constantly feel anxious and excited about they;re soon arriavel.
Are you sure you can handle it? What if you mess everything up? You can't think like that, everything will work out.
With renewed energy, you enter your apartment and begin preparing for the arrival of your new hybrids.

"You know I'm too busy to have hybrids." you sigh with slight irritation.
This isn't the first time your friend has suggested that you adopt a hybrid. Some time ago you mentioned to her that you've been feeling lonely for a long time, after moving into the big house inherited from your grandparents, after they suddenly pass away. You were always beloved by them as their only granddaughter and they left you a huge house as an inheritance along with not so small fortune. You didn't complain about the hugeness of the mansion, but living there alone put you in a great spiral of sadness and melancholy. When you first mentioned it to your friend, she immediately offered you the option of adopting a hybrid. You don't blame her because she works as a helper for hybrids in adoption centers, she also often deals with helping hybrids who were illegally used for fights, beaten and much more.
"Oh come on, you're the perfect person to adopt a hybrid. I've known you for a long time and I know you'd never hurt anyone so I wouldn't have to worry if something would happen to them, plus the amount of space in your new home is perfect for a hybrid or even a few of them." Haeun won't leave you alone. She knows you're afraid that you might do something wrong or turn out to be not the greatest owner for the hybrid. For her it's a perfect sign, people who make decisions about adoption too quickly usually turn out to be abusive or just return them after a week. Your hesitation is a perfect example of showing that you care for them.
"I'm telling you I don't even know if I want to adopt one hybrid and you're telling me about adopting some of them... Haeun you know I don't know if this is for me, too much responsibility and obligation. And on top of that I work too much. I wouldn't be a good home for them..." You feel more hesitated than irritated now.
"You don't work that much after all." you glare at her "Okay you work more than the average person but still not like you don't have time at all. Plus if you took more than one hybrid they would spend time together when you're out and after work and on weekends you would spend time together." She says with hope in her voice.
"I don't know..." I have no idea what to say anymore. I'm a little more convinced about the idea of adoption during each of our meetings. "I don't want to take away their option for a better home. Someone who will have enough time for them every day."
"You'd be the perfect home. I've already told you, they'll be fine on their own for a few hours. Plus you're the nicest person I know and I wouldn't worry about any hybrid under your roof. There are a few packs you might like. Pack of two of the cutest dogs... I mean one is a wolf hybrid and the other is a golden retriever. But they are two of the cuddliest dogs in our shelter, they've been there so long I'm starting to worry about them." She insists and talks about them with such tenderness that you start to wonder if maybe it's not worth giving them a chance.
"I'm really worried that maybe it's not for me... I don't know... I'm afraid of doing something wrong" You still hesitate. Adoption is still a difficult and important step to take, you can't do it if you not sure if it’s a right thing for you.
"There's also a pack of the cutest kitties. I mean, they're a bit proud and independent but you'd definitely love them. It's hard for them to trust anyone but I know you'd give them the home they deserve." Your heart breaks just thinking about them. Haeun clearly notices this and continues. "You'd give them a wonderful home. I know they'd love you, maybe not right away because of trust issues but over time you'd grow very close to each other. I also have one sugar glider hybrid who's been at the shelter the longest time out of all of them... If you think the whole pack would be too much for you to handle, I know he'd be thrilled to have a home. You just couldn't leave him after adopting... he needs something permanent." She looks at you with expectation in her eyes. You can see that she cares about all of them very much.
"I really don't know what to say... I'm still not sure." You say. You doubt whether you would be a good guardian for even one hybrid. "Could I at least come and meet them at the shelter at first?... I don't promise that I'll take them, but I'd like to try. I can see that you care for them." You say with a sigh but also with a small conviction that maybe it won't be such a bad decision to adopt a hybrid.
"Of course you can meet them first! It's absolutely necessary, hybrids also need to express their opinion on whether you're a good fit for them as a guardian, at least it’s a rule at the shelter I work at.” Shee brightens up at your sudden agreement to at least meet them. "Oh believe me, once you see them you'll want to adopt them all." She smiles at me with joy and sudden excitement.
"I promise you that I'll at least meet them, but I don't promise that I'll adopt them. I still don't even know anything about taking care of hybrids. Although maybe it's not such a bad idea." You say, and there's less and less hesitation in your voice.
"Oh, of course. No one can force you to adopt. I know I'm insisting very hardly, but I want you to be the one that is one hundred percent sure about this decision. It's very important for them too." She smiles at you, now a bit calmer. Her voice is a lot softer now. "And when it comes to caring for them, I'll explain everything to you. Plus it's not that hard. A proper diet is important, spending time together, appropriate things for their animal forms such as scratching posts or toys to play, and providing appropriate conditions for them, including during their heat." She smiles as she explains things that are everyday life for her.
You listen to her attentively, slightly wincing at the mention of heat. It's the one thing you worry the most about having a hybrid, not that it disgusts you, well maybe a little, but that you'll do something wrong during such a complicated moment in a hybrid's life. That you won't provide them with the right conditions. Your friend sees the hesitation after mentioning heat and immediately tries to comfort you.
"Don't worry so much. If you adopt the whole pack, all they would need is the privacy of their own room, they will take care of it. And as for the hybrids without a pack, you can take them to the appropriate clinics that deal with finding partners only for the time of heat. It's nothing to worry about. You can totally do it." She smiles reassuringly.
"Okay, I'll meet them"

You agreed to meet at the shelter on Monday after your work, when she was there for her shift. You had to leave work a few hours early to make it before the shelter closed. But you weren't worried because you were already putting in a lot of extra hours at work and you were doing well. A few times your boss even laughed that he need to send you on vacation or you'd never leave work.
"You're finally here!" She hugs you, all happy about today. "I can't believe you actually came here. I was so afraid you might back out or cancel at the last minute." She hugs you.
"I already promised you and you know I don’t like lying." You smile shyly. "I'm still a little hesitant but I'll try. I want to at least give it all a chance."
"I know, but I promise you that everything will be fine. Okay let's not waste time and let’s start the day!" She starts to drag you deeper into the shelter "The hybrids are divided into different rooms, hybrids of all breeds of dogs are in one room, cats in another and rodents and smaller ones in the third. The room with exotic hybrids is empty, rather more specialized adoption centers take care of them now" She drags you to the first room with dogs.
When you enter you see a large number of dogs, almost all are playing with each other. They are separated from you by a glass, you worry if it's because they are aggressive or maybe there is another reason for it. Haeun sees your confusion and quickly hurries to explain everything.
"Don't worry. No one here is dangerous. The windows are here because hybrids can sense the scent of other hybrids very well. If you spent a lot of time here and there were no windows, and then you would go to the room with the rodents, you would scare them all away." She explains to me quickly.
"Oh... I didn't know. I know so little about hybrids, maybe it's a bad idea..." You doubt yourself and wonder if you're really making the right decision.
"Don't worry, I promise you it'll be okay, at least try. You'll learn everything in your own time. If you don't know something, I'll explain it all to you, I'll help you even after adoption." She comforts and calms me down quickly. "Now look around. I'm sure you'll love at least one of them. Oh, I almost forgot. This is the wolf and golden retriever pack that I told you about, they'll definitely like you" She points to two hybrids who are currently in their animal form.
You look at them. The golden retriever hybrid looks full of energy, jumping and pulling the rope along with the wolf hybrid. Namjoon and Hoseok, Haeun tells you which one is which. Hoseok is very hyperactive, he pulls the rope, then let it go and jumps and then runs around the wolf, he looks so happy and full of Energy. You don't know if you could handle him. What if you weren't strong enough to play with him? You let go of this pessimistic attitude. Not now, give them at least one chance. You promised Haneun.
Your eyes now go to the wolf hybrid, he is definitely less hyperactive but you can still see the energy in him. And strength. The first thing you notice about him is definitely his size, he is a lot of bigger than the dog hybrid, but you are not surprised, he is a wolf after all. He seems to get along very well with the dog hybrid, they play together and it seems like maybe you wouldn't need that much energy after all. Maybe they could play alone, of course you'd join them sometimes but you doubt you'd have the Energy to match them.
Hoseok's gaze lingers on you for a moment. As soon as he notices you he runs to the window and looks at you. He looks so nice and sweet. When he notices that you've focused your eyes on him he starts rolling on the ground which makes you giggle. He really is adorable.
Your gaze shifts to Namjoon. He's still standing where he was playing with hoseok. He doesn't look like he's going to come over and greet you like the dog hybrid did but you're not surprised. Haeun said they've been here a long time so he probably doesn't want to get his hopes up and then get disappointed. It breaks your heart. How could anyone not want to adopt them? They're so cute, even though the wolf is not as trusting.
You turn back to haeun. You didn't even look around at the other dog hybrids. But you know you don't have to. Namjoon and Hoseok stole your heart in such a short time.
"I think... I think I like them" You say to your friend. Out of the corner of your eye you see both hybrids ears twitch. "Write down that I want to meet them so they can tell if they want to go too or not."
"Sure!" Haeun quickly writes something down on her papers "I knew they'd steal your heart" She says happily. She slowly leads me out of the room. "I know they will love you too. Ah... Would you like to see the rest of the hybrids or do you just want to end it here?..." She asks you with a slight hesitation "I may have mentioned that you would come, to the hybrids I told you about..." She says apologetically.
"Haeun!" I say slightly irritated "You know I wasn't sure if I would take anyone in, why did you get all their hopes up?"
"Don't worry!" She quickly defends herself. "They know you just came here to look around, but I mentioned to them that you'll be here today..."
"Okay." I say, relaxing slightly "But I can't take them all. Although I'll go to see them too if you promised so. I don;t want them to feel bad because of me."
"Thanks, you're the best!" She pulls me into the next room with the cats.
The energy here is completely different. Most of the cats are just lying around in different places. Only a few are playing with toys on the floor and you assume they are probably young kittens. Haeun points out the two hybrid cats she mentioned earlier. They are both lying on the windowsill by the window, basking in the sun. One of them notices you and blinks at you slowly, they look so relaxed. When the other notices you, he decides to approach you. Haeun explains that the black one on the windowsill is Yoongi, and the one walking towards you is Jimin. Jimin slowly approaches the window that seperate you. He is beautiful, with grey and white fur. He stretches gently and approaches the window itself, gently rubbing against it as if he wanted to rub against your leg. As soon as you see it, you press your fingers against the glass, as if you wanted to touch his fur. He brushes against the spot where your fingers are a few more Times. After that he slowly returns to his spot on the windowsill.
Yoongi watches you and Jimin a little longer, winks at you a few times, then continues to bask in the sun. The small reaction from the cats doesn't surprise you at all. You know that hybrids share a traits of the animals that they are hybrids of. Of course they will be a little more independent. And that doesn't bother you, you wouldn't have to worry about leaving them home alone all day. Wait... Are you considering another pack of hybrids?! You can't handle two packs! But the thought of leaving even one here makes your heart ache. Maybe... maybe two packs aren't too much?...
"Could I meet them too?" You ask Haeun quietly, to which she widens her eyes but quickly nods and writes something down on her papers for the second time that day.
"I knew you'd give them a chance. Even though they're more independent." She smiles at you, you both leave the room. When you're almost outside you turn back to the hybrids to see them one more time. You see both cats looking at you. You could swear they look like they were smiling.
You leave the room after your friend. She asks if you would like to also meet Jin. You can see sadness on her face. You know that Jin is a sugar glider hybrid who has been at this shelter the for the longest time out of all of them. You quickly agree because you know she have told everyone about your visit today. You don't want him to feel bad that you didn't even see him when you were considering adopting the other hybrids.
She quickly directs you both to the last room. There are a lot of smaller hybrids there. Haeun points you to Jin. He's the only one out of the five who is currently in his human form. He's sitting on the floor taking care of the little bunnies. Haeun mentions that he often helps the youngest and shyest ones. When she says that your heart starts beating a little faster.
Jin quickly notices Haeun and smiles at her, but when Jin notices you his eyes widen slightly. You quickly smile at him as he seems a little tense and stressed at the sight of you. This seems to relax him a little. He is still tense though so he goes back to taking care of the bunnies.
You notice that even though he is sitting he still seems tall. His hair is a very dark brown with a bit of grey and a slight tint of purple here and there.
You turn to your friend, your heart aches at the thought of leaving him here. You can't do it. You already know that he has spent a lot of time here and you feel sick at the thought of him staying here for even one day longer, or even for the rest of his life. In a moment of sympathy and strange concern for the hybrids you say something you never thought you would hear from yourself, Haeun also is shock as her eyes widen when she hears what you said.
"I'll take them, all of them. If they all want to come home with me of course, I'll gladly sign all the papers today."

Hi! It's my first ever writen fic, I hope it is not bad and that some of you will enjoy it.
I have in plans to make it long story, so stay tune. In some later chapters there might be some heavy topics so always check warnings. I don't know how long this story gonna be, but I already have two extra chapters written.
I don't have any shedule but I will try to post one chapter every week unless I won't be able to do so.
