THE Blue Lagoon or Bláa Lónið in Icelandic. Is it worth the hype? I’d say YES.. €: • Entrancefee always includes a free mudmask and a drink from the bar in the lagoon. Is it expensive? Yes, but it’s also bucketlist material and you’ll regret not going • Childeren aged 2 to 13 are admitted free, if they’re accompanied by an adult 🕗: • traveling with a 6 year old, we decided to pick the earliest time slot, we found this more relaxing as we found it less crowded at the lagoon that early. We have picked later timeslots in the past and found it way too crowded. Men and Women have separate changing rooms. Make sure you have all towels and swim necessities devided in seperate bags, there’s no way of meeting eachother inbetween. *Trust me, I know😅*. ❗️ • Shower is compulsory before entering any pool in Iceland. The lagoon had both communal showers and shower cubicles to shower seperately. There’s soap and conditioner too. • use enough conditioner! I used Kevin Murphy re.store before entering the lagoon, kept our hair in a bun whilst and washed it with the conditioner provided in the lagoons shower afterwards. I have been less carefull in the past and I had dry hair for weeks. Soaking up in warm water, having the best view and breathing fresh air is truly amazing and that’s why the @bluelagoonis is worth a visit. Full blogpost coming soon!
