archie didnât mean to flinch as he felt someone sit next to him, eyes blinking quickly as if to wake himself up. he was beyond exhausted and there was still a thumping noise in his head. his hangover was honestly so bad that he decided to ditch his first few classes of the day, completely fine with missing the work so he could nap, strum at his guitar and hope that no one would bother him. he honestly thought it was reggie who decided to plant himself down to annoy him, though the couch barely moved. it wasnât until he turned his head that he realised it was veronica lodge. it had been a while since theyâd hung out. their entire group (or the sad breakfast club as cheryl liked to call it) were all busy and off doing their own thing. the only person he saw consistently was jughead considering he was now living in the andrewsâ house.
raising a brow at the girl, a soft smile spread across his lips, happiness immediately painting itself across his face. his mood instantly picked up. âoh, yeah. totally.â he gently pat the back of the guitar, letting his head fall back against the cushion of the couch. âitâs not ready yet though. all iâve got is the name.. does âthe most beautiful girl in the worldâ work??â he teased, moving to put the guitar onto the ground. ânah, iâve honestly been napping in here. i tried playing a few chords but it was.. too loud.â he admitted, eyes closing at the slight memory of it all. to say archie went overboard at noelâs party was an understatement. he had TOO much fun and didnât remember any of it. he was honestly dreading the stories that would surely be spread around the school through careless whispers. âhowâre you though?? i feel like i havenât seen you in forever.â he paused. âwell⊠thatâs because i havenât seen you in forever. since camping really. everything alright with you??â there was the slight fear that she had been avoiding him. but he could keep his mouth shut about that. he could push that thought out of his head.
Veronica simply couldnât help herself. Archie had a way of getting under her skin whether she liked it or not. Which for the record, she did like it but knew that she wasnât supposed to. There were a million reasons why they shouldnât be doing whatever it is they were doing. Canoodling behind Bettyâs back? At the same time, sometimes in life, certain things like the full spectrum of human emotions and personal feelings were simply beyond anyoneâs control. Especially theirs. They couldnât take back what happened on that camping trip and quite frankly, Ronnie suspected neither of them wanted to. Â It brought them closer and they both finally understood just how the other felt.
âIâll bet,â Veronica teased. It was obvious Archie, much like the rest of them, were still coming down from Noelâs infamous pharm party. Veronica had fun. Granted, she couldnât remember most of the night. Just small bits and pieces that stuck with her. She wasnât naturally the type to hold onto negative memories anyway. âItâs been a few days,â Ronnie agreed. Which yeah, felt like forever. âI actually had some loose ends to tie up in New York.â Ronnie contemplated telling Archie who accompanied her on that trip. But, wasnât entirely sure she should? On the one hand, they were friends. Great friends, her and Archie. She could confide in him, couldnât she? âIt happened so suddenly and so fast. And there was kind of a mix up at first.â Ronnie realized she was being vague, but that was only because she was dancing around a certain subject. âI was planning on talking to you about everything when I got back but then the party happened. Do you--â Ronnie paused, still contemplating. âDo you think we should still talk about it?â As in, she was wondering if he still felt the same?
@liaroneill  /  AT THE POLICE STATION
While her instincts were screaming at her to turn around, to just go home, her determination and endless pursuit of the truth propelled her onward. Hermione advised Veronica to stay out of her fatherâs affairs. The more questions she asked, the more suspicious everyone around her would get. Could Hiram Lodge really be responsible for so much more than simple fraud and embezzlement? Was it possible he were the ringleader of the Serpents? It all sounded so crazy, Veronica knew that. But, thatâs precisely why she was on this serpent hunt. There was something her parents, both of them, were hiding from her. And if it was the last thing Ronnie did, sheâd find out what and uncover the truth. The lies had to stop. But, before that, Veronica had to ensure that she bought herself and Jughead enough time to carry out their lowkey, private investigation of her family, and namely her father.Â
Arriving at the police station, Veronica was hoping to con her way into Deputy Kellerâs office. Kevin told her where she could locate what she was looking for, no questions asked. He trusted her just as she trusted him. Ronnieâs intentions were pure. In ways they never have been before. But, instead of finding Deputy Keller, or really anyone who could help, Ronnie was hit with a face she wasnât surprised to see but, a face she almost expected to see at some point. âSit there,â Sheriff Acosta ordered him. He sounded annoyed, as he allowed Tyler OâNeill to plop his ass in a chair and wait for someone to come pick him up. Because he was a minor, only a legal guardian could sign his paperwork and thus, that meant his foster parents. Who were on their way, supposedly, but not quick enough.Â
âMiss?â The cop beckoned Ronnie, after noticing sheâd become distracted by one of the delinquents waiting to be discharged. âHm?â Ronnie snapped her attention back in place and proceeded to thank the cop for their help while dismissing herself to walk over to Tyler. He looked wrecked. Different than the way he did leaving the party. Like he hadnât slept in days. Which in his defense, he probably hadnât. âI donât think the handcuffs really suit you,â Veronica mused with a smile, as she gestured to the shiny silver wrapped tightly around his wrists.Â
@gingvrstallion
From the looks of it, Archie looked precisely how Veronica felt; exhausted, hungover and a wee bit out of place. Since the moment they got back from their camping trip (which Ronnie thought was amazing by the way), they havenât done much talking. Between Veronicaâs detour getaway with Tyler to New York and Noel Kahnâs party, there hasnât been much time either. Ronnie wasnât sure what to make of Archie, let alone anyone else in her life at the moment. Too much had happened that the lines were all a blur.  âRelax Archiekins,â Ronnie chuckled as she plopped down on the sofa beside him in the student lounge. âItâs just me. You working on a new song? One that is hopefully, inspired by moi.â Veronica gestured to Archieâs guitar resting solely in his lap and playfully touched her heart with an equally playful smile.Â
#she made out with him later on that night

Cheryl was fragile, to say the least. Â A fortune of feelings, yet the most prevalent â loneliness filled her soul. Â It was new, to feel it to such a degree. Home was not a safe space anymore, it haunted her just like those stories around town were saying.Â
She put on her signature maple red lipstick, in hopes that it would bring her the usual confidence. A little black dress hugged her curves, loose curves crowning her face. She looked like a doll, perfect in her box. That was exactly what she wanted to appear as, especially these last weeks.Â
The party was loud when she got there, a tad later than fashionably late. In her mind, this meant there was no time for awkward interactions, pointless chats. Cheryl was not nice, she was real, blunt, honest. Not the best way to be when you are at a party. Her pill, she did not study it. She just took it, allowing the effects to come as a surprise. But her appearance did not come as a surprise. Veronica. She looked good, or, if she were honest, sexy. Her head studied her mechanically, smile bringing into the open her approval. Her carefree attitude, in this moment Cheryl wanted it. Everything else, she just admired.Â
âI am so not stiff. â The voice was honeyed, feignedlyannoyed. She allowed the girl to take her hands, following her on the dancefloor. Her body started moving with the rhytm, lids closing just for a second. An energy wave swam through her, but Cheryl was unsure whether it was the pill, or just Veronicaâs own vibe. âWhat did you even take?â
Even all doped up, Cheryl was still Cheryl. A live action reincarnation of the fire nationâs princess, Azula. Ronnie couldnât help but wonder.... if that made Jason, her brother- Zuko? Â Also, exiled. The comparison brought a smile to the newly-minted river vixenâs lips. Of all the parties Cheryl Blossom would attend, Veronica could admit she didnât think this one would make the cut. Ronnie would have thought a pharmaceutical party would be beneath Cheryl. And, sheâd reprimand any one of her River Vixens who attended and risked getting themselves into trouble. Penelope wouldnât stand for this kind of behavior. That, much was for sure. And now that she was the acting principal, she had more leverage to find out about these sort of gatherings and shut them down.Â
What would the dearly evil, mommy dearest have to say about her only daughter and last living heir, attending this sort of soiree? But, not only that - participating in it?Â
âI have no idea,â Veronica shouted over the music. And, that was the godâs honest truth. She had no clue what she was on. But, that was all part of the fun, wasnât it? âBut hey, Iâm surprised you showed. The other day at practice you pretty much swore this party off. And threatened to kick any river vixen who attended from the squad, no exceptions. What changed your mind, Cheryl bombshell?â
callmekevink:
Veronica was like a friend soulmate, to Kevin. They were perfect together, and the best partners in crime. They just had the right vibe when it came to each other, and Kevin, no matter what, felt comfortable, when it came to being around Ronnie. The night was young, the lights were bright and brilliant, and Kevin could stay there forever. He loved parties, and with his best friends, cute boys, and good music filling his senses, life was exactly how it should be. He giggled with Ronnieâs suggestions, and he pulled her into a hug. âBring it on, baby.â
A laugh echoed, as Ronnie squinted her eyes and tossed her head back. The room was spinning and the music was getting further and further away. But, only because she wasnât focused on it. Instead, she was focused on Kevinâs hand as she guided him out of the mosh pit building around them, and to some place a little less crowded.Â
Her legs and feet wobbled as they carried her out back to the patio sofa underneath the gazebo with a couple other strangers. âWhereâs the mysterious Mr. Montague tonight? Remind me which oneâs still your flavor of the week? Was it...â Ronnie realized they had ears on them and tried to give Joaquin and Moose other nicknames. âJ... and animal.â It was hard to think straight with whatever she took, so it was the best she could do under pressure. âIâm having trouble keeping up.â
liaroneill:
âIt was bothof our battle. That guy was calling me trash while his friends filmed it. Ninadoes the same thing, I know how it ends, up online with everyone commentingtheir opinions on it. They would have still been talking trash about you andyour family. Now, all theyâll talk about is how Tristan got whooped.â In Tylerâsmind heâd done the right thing. The most sensible thing. Sure, he never livedin New York before, and he didnât know how the Upper East Side handled things, but defending yourself seemed pretty multiverse.
ââWell, thatâstoo bad.â Tyler crossed his arms and walked over to a window that had a greatview of the city lights. He was going to ask Veronica to join him in gettingthose snobs back, but it was obvious Veronica was finished. Maybe being backfor this short period of time made her realize that this New York girl wasnâtwho she is anymore. She thought hewas weak for fighting back, but he thought shewas weak for giving in.
âWhat do youwant out of life, Veronica?â Tyler turned away from the window. Out that glasswas a whole world, no matter where you went there would be problems, Tyler knewthat. But he also knew that someone couldnât just start over and wash theirhands of who they are. That mean girl will always reside in Veronica, no matterhow fast she tried running from it. âYou donât want to end up like your father,I get it. Thatâs a wakeup call. But, you donât have to serve his time with him, either. Because thatâs what youâre doing by punishing yourself. You think becauseyou had a nasty streak that now you have to let things roll off your shouldersand bring people gifts when youâve fucked up. Thatâs not the way it worksâŠâ asmuch as Ronnie thought she knew Tyler, he thought the same about her; like, heknew everything he needed to know.
âJust tellme this, are you really going to let these people take away the last thread ofwho you were? The way they talk about you⊠you donât want to get them back? Thatwhole, fight-back thing is lost on you? Itâs just submit, now? Because thatâs notVeronica Lodge. And, if that VeronicaLodge wants to bounce, then thatâs fine. But, if you want to stay hereâŠand dosomething about it, then Iâm in. Iâll play by your rules and not use my fists. Youknow, I do have brains too. which is actually far more deadly than my brawn.â
âWhat do you want out of life, Veronica?â
Veronica had half a mind to blurt out, âNot this.â At least, not in this way. Not to this extent. For the first time ever, Veronica was seeing first hand what kind of damage her family had done or was still doing. They were mixed up in some pretty shady business. The Serpents were doing lucrative deals for her father. And somehow, her mother was involved. No one really knew this aside from Jughead who was sworn to secrecy as they strive to uncover all the details together. Not even Betty knew what Veronica was up to. She had enough going on with Polly, and everything else that she didnât need to tackle Veronicaâs family drama on top of it. Who really cared about Tristan? Aside from Tristan himself and his blindly loyal lackeys? In time, the Daniels would fall too. Not by Veronicaâs hand but maybe by her fatherâs. It wasnât Veronicaâs retribution to seek. She wasnât the one who got caught and lost everything (I mean, she was but-- not in the way it was being spoken of). Hell, Veronica barely knew the extent of her fatherâs crimes and affairs. Why should she fight this battle? Because Tristan called them names? Him, trash. And her, a bitch? She was a bitch. Or at least, she used to be. She could admit that. And it was obvious Tristan was just upset, grasping at whatever straws he could to compensate for the things he lacked. He was jealous and it showed.Â
The more she thought about it, the more Veronica realized Tyler was somewhat justified for defending himself. Because he wasnât trash. And, Ronnie could understand why that would have set him off. He had his issues and, he was sensitive about them. Tristan had hit a nerve and as a result, Tyler retaliated. Things got out of hand and now look at them... What shouldâve happened next? Should Veronica give into the devil on her shoulder? Fight back? Or should she be the bigger person she was trying to be and walk away?Â
The raven haired beauty mulled over her options while chewing softly on her lower lip. Meanwhile, Tyler continued to excite the demons she left behind. He appealed to their nature, made them want to come out and play. Her heart was struggling to fight them off, and keep them at bay. They just got louder and louder. And more violent. Until eventually, she caved. It was one thing for the strangers she barely knew to judge her. They didnât know her well enough to say that there was more to her than what the tabloids printed or the gossipers whispered. Her very own friends didnât even defend her. And they knew her. They knew what kind of person she was behind closed doors. What kind of person she could be. And instead of speaking up about that, they went along with what was already out there. Too cowardly to show a modicum of sincere loyalty. âFine,â Uncrossing her arms, Veronica sauntered over to Tyler and got close enough to brush pelvises as she dug into his pocket for his phone and pulled it out between her black, manicured nails.
Turning it around, Veronica handed the phone to him and smirked âGo to east queens dot com and type in this username and password; username is hollyg and the password is; dollar sign, rich.â Seeing as Tylerâs phone was password protected, Ronnie gave him a minute to follow her instructions and once she spotted the confused look on his face, she chuckled darkly. âI know the way he works. Heâs going to try to burn you with that fight. But, you can burn him first or you can wait and use that video as your ticket out of all of this. I figured Iâd save it and use it when I really needed to. My question though is, how long do you think it would take for an upscale crowd like this to get over such a scandal? Manhattanâs beloved, crown prince caught banging his sister? Thereâs no way one can just explain that. Youâd have to be one sick fuck to enjoy it. Strangely enough, this very goldmine Iâve been sitting on, Iâve refrained from unleashing to the world. Portiaâs in love with Tristan and I always thought I was sparing her by keeping it under wraps. But, she didnât even try to defend me out there or have my back. So why am I protecting her? I knew something was terribly off with him. Itâs why I dumped him. He never knew the reason why. So, he wonât see this coming at all. Unfortunately, I donât think itâs enough to just post it. The Daniels will recruit some tech genius to try and take it down and protect their pretty reputations. If weâre going to pay him back. Weâll need a little bit more. You sure youâre still in? You better be ready to go full dark, no stars.â
@betterthanforsythe

callmekevink:
The music was pulsing, and the tiny blue pill that had taken over Kevinâs system, throbbed within him. He wanted to do something crazy, and who better to do as such with, then his best friend, partner in crime, Veronica Lodge. He squeezed through the bodies, on the lookout for the brunette babe. And there she was, a vixen in the night.Â
He took her hands, and spun her around, laughing, airy and free. âRonnie, I want to do something spectacular, I really really do. I donât know what, but I want it to be magical.â
A tight-lipped smile adorned exotic features. Ronnie was lost in the moment and in the music with Kevin. Her one, true, gay love bestie. Doing something or someone spectacular sounded pretty amazing. What Kevin needed was to liberate himself for a night. And what better way or excuse to use than the one currently at his disposal? The whole purpose of this party, Veronica assumed, was to relinquish themselves. To be set free from their natural cages for a night. Go wild, have fun, explore their many options. âHow about him?â Veronica beamed, tipping her chin toward the couch where some guy in a hoodie and leather jacket had been staring at them intently for the last few minutes. âHe looks like he would be magical. At least, when we get through with him.â Contrary to what it might have sounded like, Ronnie wasnât referring to a threesome. Even high, she still acknowledged that Kevinâs sexuality was strictly dickly.Â
liaroneill:
Confusionknits at dark brows, furrowing shadow to his eyes. Why werenât these peoplecelebrating their victor? Had he not just slain the dragon in front of all? He diffusedthe situation, got rid of the maniac, or was he now the maniac? Things surelywere different here. Everyone remained behind their phones. Did they not haveeyes? Rows and rows of robots just texting and staring through lenses. Tylerwas no longer celebrating but standing there â bewildered. He was almostthankful when Veronica grabbed him by his jacket and pulled him into anotherroom. He couldnât even laugh at the naked couple running out in nothing buttheir underwear, he had become defective in shock.
âIâmguessing the whole, survival of the fittest doesnât apply here? I kicked that guyâsass. Everyone is looking at me as if I still got punked-out? What is it, apopularity thing?â That was Tyler, always trying to figure everything out. He hadto, if he wanted to stay the best. But Veronica seemed to agree with thesepeople⊠âWhat the hell was that?âlashed off of tongue, causing the male to shrink back. âWhat do you mean? He gotin my faceâŠhe came up to me. He wascalling me trash while his friends filmed it, was calling you a bitch, hissister was calling you worse. Why wouldnât I put an end to it?â Was that nothow it worked here? Tyler grew up in many different places and it was alwaysrelatively the same. In the words of Nina Patterson: itâs a time-honoredenforcement of the food chain, theweak are outed and then eaten.
âThatâs how itâs done, peaches. I would have been the laughingstock of New York. Iâm nooneâs victim. Especially not some little bitchâs, in a scarf.â Tyler still hadsome pent up rage â especially now, being cornered. He began pacing back andforth, like some caged animal. âWhatâs the choice of weapons here? Gossip, blackmail, ruining reputations? I believe I just ruined his. And even if I didnât,Iâm a lot smarter than these insipid debutantes.I could release a virus into every one of their phones if thatâs their duelingpistol. Whatever it is â Iâm on top.â
Ronnie was starting to suspect that maybe bringing Tyler here, was a mistake. They were from two different worlds. And upheld two very different versions of âsurvival of the fittest.â Here, it wasnât about who could throw the better punch or mess the other up more. It was all about take downs and calculation, and manipulation. Appearances were just as important as reputations, and legacies. One needed to have it all in order to stay on top. And those on top were always the loneliest. Or had he not figured that out yet? Heâd been here for all of five minutes and already there was a big, bright target on his back. âDonât you get it?â Ronnie sighed. Of course, he didnât. Heâd never get it until he lost everything or hit rock bottom. But, Hiram was living proof that the mighty fall hard. And once all is said and done, heâll have no one. Just like her father. Sure, Veronica still loved him. But, Hermione was already starting to move on. And pretty soon Veronica would have to as well. Because, there was nothing she could do about her fatherâs predicament or his epic fall from grace. The same would be said for Tyler if he didnât get his act together. âFor starters,â Ronnie adjusted her arms over her chest, and sauntered closer. âI donât need you to defend me. I appreciate that you had my back out there but, have you ever heard of that saying; 'Learn how to pick your battles?â That wasnât your battle to pick. And you canât just hit people because you disagree with something theyâve said about you. Why give them the satisfaction of knowing they got to you? Thatâs weak, in my opinion.â Ronnie gave a shrug. She realized they had different views of  what they considered weak. And Ronnie wasnât saying any of this to offend him or call him simply that.  She was trying to help him. Because for whatever reason, she cared about him. Against her better judgment, she saw more in him than most others did. âI know this might sound like Iâm scolding you but Iâm not. And trust me, the higher you crawl, the harder you fall. Youâre not invincible, Tyler. I know you may think that you are but you arenât. Youâd rather people fear you than like you. And I get it. Iâve been there. I was the spoiled, mean, queen here. Iâve done my worst to many of the people waiting outside these walls. Iâve ruined girlâs lives for my own amusement. I was Nina. Worse than Nina. And look at where it got me⊠my father was one of the most powerful men in New York and now heâs rotting behind bars. If you want to be on top, and if you want to beat down anyone who stands in your way, then fine. But, donât expect me to stand by and watch you do it. I left all of that behind. And I donât ever want to go back to it. Itâs a lonely game and itâs left me with nothing. Just as it will you."Â
