It was made from deck planking found floating on the sea…

“Fire fight in the Bulow Platz, during the Spartacus Rising [Communist Uprising in Berlin]. The German Government troops used this captured British Mk IV Female tank pulling a 77mm FK 16 n/A freely throughout the proceedings, which lasted six weeks and resulted in the overthrow of the Spartacists.

Командир звена 1-го гвардейского минно-торпедного авиационного полка 8-й минно-торпедной авиационной дивизии Балтийского флота, гвардии лейтенант М.Ф. Шишков на фоне своего торпедоносца А-20 «Бостон». Паневежис, Литовская ССР. 19 сентября 1944.

К сентябрю 1944 года экипаж Шишкова совершил 75 боевых вылетов и потопил 6 транспортов и танкер противника общим водоизмещением 35 тысяч тонн.

Через полтора месяца после фотографирования 5 ноября 1944 года за образцовое выполнение заданий командования и проявленные мужество и героизм в боях Шишкову Михаилу Федоровичу будет присвоено звание Героя Советского Союза.

1944. Michael Shishkov (1921 - 2015 ) — marine pilot, hero of the Soviet Union. Guard Lieutenant M. F. Shishkov made 75 sorties. Torpedoed and sank 6 freighters and a tanker of the enemy with a total displacement of 35 thousand tons. His plane is A-20C Boston ( international version with the DB-7/a-20 Boston), these were equipped to carry an external 2,000 lb (910 kg) torpedoes. Built in the UK and the Soviet Union a total of 948.
