Explanation: Rena is his boss
Anyways, he becomes one because he is broke and his friend needs a helping hand. Two birds with one stone.
Ain is a religious asshole businessman that enters the flowershop to buy flowers to pray. He takes one look at Elsword and bam. Love.
Ain buys flowers from Elsword’s every day. He says it’s as an offering to his Goddess Ishmael, but he buys more than required. Then he goes for more than just that to see Elsword.
Thanks to Ain, Elsword has gotten a lot of practice and can now manage the more difficult bouquets. Rena doesn’t give him The Glare anymore.
As a friend, I mean. It takes a while for that to grow into like-like.
Ain is persistent. And smooth. No not really. So, yes, things escalate. Rena has a front seat to the entire thing.
Then one day, Ain walks up to Elsword with an awkward expression and asks for an arragement of flowers specifically to confess to someone. Elsword is surprised, then sad, but he still wraps it up and gives it to Ain.
Ain awkwardly accepts the flowers, looks at them, looks at Elsword.
He practically shoves them into Elsword’s face and blurts out a confession.
The man is flushing. His ears are red. Relationship virgin here.
Elsword is surprised. Elsword is happy. Elsword accepts.
Also, Rena as been eavesdropping the entire thing from day one
She breaks the door in excitement.

In this au they start their own flowershop right off graduation. Together.
Ain and Elsword are that pair of sweethearts that attend this sparkly flowershop. Ain is waifu, and Elsword is…. huh…. Elsword.
Elsword can’t remember when his boyfriend began to take an interest in flowers just like he can’t remember when his calm friend turned into a smiling hippie.
Elsword is just along for the ride. He isn’t 130% passionate about flowers, and tbh neither is Ain, but tending to flowers brings Ain a sort of serenity and happiness so Elsword approves.
He is also ready to blow up anyone who makes fun of Ain for not becoming a doctor.
Worryingly, Elsword is still a pyromaniac. Even more surprising, he doesn’t set everything in the shop on fire, even though there was this time Raven had given him a phone and left for two minutes only to find it on fire.
Hey, one didn’t have to become a black belt or something to be badass as fuck.
So, yeah, he and Ain start a flowershop.
Their apartment is in the floor above it.
Elesis tried to take him to the hospital because she thought someone had drugged her brother. Geez, thanks sis.
He isn’t really an expert with flowers. At most he waters the safe ones and rings the cash while Ain fusses around. And delivers them, too.
Ain is good at tending the flowers.
Elsword cannot understand how he does it.
One day Ain had brought this near dead plant to their apartment and the next day it looked healthier than ever. They put it on display and it sold thrice the price of one of their best bouquets.
People like to buy from the shop because Ain is just that good at it.
Albeit some of the customers come for the eye candy tbh.
Some of them are for the two of them because both of them are pretty shameless in expressing affection to each other
Nothing R-18. Just a peck here and there. It sends them wild.
They live a content life managing their flowershop.
The only places that don’t catch fire because of Elsword is the flowershop so some of his friends think it is blessed by god or something.
Ain isn’t super religious anymore, but he happily contributes it to the grace of Ishmael.

Ain, as Apostasia here, is the one that manages the flowershop.
Well then. Okay. So. Base Ain liked flowers. L:W still liked flowers but was super emotional because every flower he tended to died. As Apostasia, he stops giving a fuck but somehow the flowers turn into these haunting beauties that somehow attract people.
You ever wondered how a flowershop could become popular in Halloween?
Well, Ain’s shop is especially popular in Halloween.
He stays working in the flowershop because he sees no meaning in looking for another job. The flowershop becomes his when his boss, Old Man Henir, kicks the bucket (though secretly Ain is convinced Henir didn’t die and had faked everything for shits and giggles) and his grandson shirks the job to Ain. He has no idea where the grandson went. No desire to find out either.
Elsword is a college student coming to look for flowers because his sister has to attend a funeral for a coworker who died in line of duty. The only flowers Crimson Avenger knows to pick are the ones made from her targets’ blood.
After the first time (and a lot of times after that q-q poor Elesis), Elsword drops by for more than buying flowers for his sis.
Apostasia!Ain is still an asshole to a lot of people, all three Ains are assholes in their own way, but he is nicer to Elsword. He actually gives the boy a tiiiiiiiny smile when he comes into the shop.
One of his regulars saw it. They thought they saw a ghost and hired a priest (haha priest) to exorcise themselves.
This pair are the only ones that go on cafe dates before actually becoming a couple. They are also the ones that take the longest to become a couple — there is the spark, sure, but they are either oblivious, or… well…
Ain is a border nihilistic person who knows no love, and Elsword’s got hands full with college, his friends, his sis and life.
IS!Elsword is the one that confesses.
When Elsword introduces his friends to his boyfriend, the formers at first think it’s a joke when Elsword says Ain is a florist.
Extra: Elesis had hunted him down and quietly held up her rapier (apparently it’s legal within her task force) against his throat and threatened severe bodily harm if he messed around with her little brother.
