Vic Beckham moodboard for your daily colour combo!
BALMAIN S/S 2017
I enjoyed almost all of the collection. This time, Rousteing shows about 80 items in his collection. All varies in 5 or 6 categories from cut out silk gowns, phyton theme (shown above), yarn dresses, rainbow dresses, gold dresses, and sheer cut-out gowns. There just many options for evening dress or cocktail party. Well, it is Rousteing specialties anyway.
Alexander McQueen S/S 2017
I love almost all of the collection. Leathers, lace dresses, boots. Super awesome.
Christian Dior S/S 2017
Somehow I felt like this collection is more Valentino than Dior. Somehow. Or is it because the new designer formerly works in Valentino? Maria Grazia Chiuri, the new Dior creative director, used to worked together with her co-designer P. Piccioli. Now this is her first time to work alone after 27 years with Piccioli.
Elegance echoes loudly in this collection. I love most of all items. The leather vests, leather jackets, chiffon dresses, and my fave: chiffon skirts. The chiffon skirt reminds me of tutu skirt, but in more simple way. So adorable! I think I’m gonna like Dior from now on. ^^
Chloé S/S17
I don’t usually enjoy their collection. But, this season they just so lovely! Somehow it just represents chic in a simple way. Plus, I love the sandals.
Isabel Marant S/S 2017
Hence the big belt. It emphasized your waist. Love it!
Moschino S/S 2017
Well, this is my fave show in #mfw !! Jeremy Scott, the designer, took us move further from 2-D paper dolls into a life-size 3-D. He show us what it looks like if our old paper dolls come into life and walk with us. I mean, I wish my paper dolls was Gigi Hadid. Haha.
The technique he used called “trompe l’oeil” or, a visual illusion in art, especially as used to trick the eye into perceiving a painted detail as a three-dimensional object. So, Scott combined printed fabric with printed paper to create paper clothes for the living dolls. I believe I saw a similar technique in Gucci last year. How they create their ruffles and part of their clothes looks like 2-D with visual illusion.
What Scott did with the presentation is excellent. It is another step from what Gucci’s designer did. And, I think we will see more of it. The 2-D world in real life, here we come. Wkwk.
Dolce & Gabbana S/S 2017
Yeaay! My fave designer! Lots of their items are my fave, but here is my top fave. Their fresh collection shows us a fresh spring on a tropical island. Of course, I love their lace dresses, minis, embellishments, and their signature flower patterns. Love it.
Gucci S/S 2017
After their breakthrough last year, Gucci show became the most anticipated show this season in MFW. I think everyone, just like me, is expecting a new journey with Gucci.
Well, Gucci shows their signature and their consistency of bringing the new vintage. But this time, less geeky. They put out a basic baseball shirt with lovely style and a basic suit with a trendy update. Love it!
Their dresses are awesome, from basic black and white into oriental embroidery. Their mastering of patterns mix is still a ‘wow’. Then, an embroidery and embellishment dress with army shoulder is SUPER FAVE. Love love it!
Salvatore Ferragamo S/S 2017
I am not familiar with their design. But, I guess I enjoyed its perforated fabric in use. Lol. Oh, I love their crop top outer in ruffles, also. Just because.
Versace S/S 2017
This is the second time I enjoyed Versace’s collection and review it here. The specials belong to those parachute dresses. It looks sporty and elegant effortlessly. Then, the button cut out dresses. It looks chic. And, the deconstructive embroidery dresses. It looks unfinished but with style. It’s kinda confusing, yes. Haha. I love it, though.
Anniesa Hasibuan NYFW Show
I just love the video and the collection. ^^
Please also check this video for a detailed view of the show and behind the scene.
Burberry S/S 2017
This time, Burberry show pajamas and jumpers as their main items. Not much for their signature trench coat. Not much for their elegance style. But, there is some interesting jumpers and style to copy. I am a bit disappointed with this year’s collection. I wonder how come there is a lot of praise in media for this collection. Is it because Bailey showed his street style in this collection? Well, I miss their lace coat and all, though. Uh, oh. But I love love their bags!!
Emilia Wickstead S/S 2017
I’ve heard about this designer several times, but sometimes her collection are too sweet or too girly for me. This season, I find some chic item like above and I love it. Simple and chic.
Simone Rocha S/S 2017
After Christopher Kane’s blacks, I prefer white items from this Simone Rocha’s collection. The cut and line are extraordinary. It looks clean but intriguing.
Christopher Kane S/S 2017
I love their black collection this time. You just can’t go wrong with black outfit. :)
Victoria Beckham Handbag S/S 2017
I am a big fan of Vic, her attitude, and her style. But, I’m not that into her design. Just because.
This season, I find something interesting in her collection. Not her clothes, but her handbag collection. It is rounded shape, medium, and a bit bulky. It somehow reminds me of Gabriela Hearst’s handbag in the picture below.
The Hearst’s bag is an Instagram major crush. Some fashion guru wore it last spring. Yet, it is still most wanted these days.
Well, does Vic gonna continue the hype? I think so.
