I love your Cringetober! I do it every year! For 2026, I was thinking maybe you can add some newer Gen Z / Gen Alpha media or cringecore thing? Things like Roblox, TikTok, or 2020 pandemic aesthetic? Or maybe some neurodivergent stuff (like autistic stimming or adhd “millennial” humor I see a lot of hate about those things )

I’m a little hesitant to have any day be directly related to a real condition or other non-chosen trait, but that’s why i have the “reclaimed insecurity” day every year! a lot of traits people have are considered cringe but I don’t wanna just have a day for being autistic (example) since not everyone who participates is autistic and also maybe people don’t want their disability associated with Cringetober ? it’s not my place to say lol

I would love to include more callbacks to 2020 trends tho (since that is when CT started back when it wasn’t my series)!

For your Cringetober 2026, would you add old school tumblr things? Like hipster aesthetic, homestuck, superwholock? Or I know tumblr has a lot of mix feeling about this; Harry Potter?

Ahh some throwback aesthetics would be fun!! And shh don’t tell anyone but i may have one of those fandoms directly locked n loaded for a certain day…

As for Harry Potter, I’m not sure I’d include it directly, but maybe something similar like magic school/academy (since my hero academia is another example of that sort of trope)
