     It just occurred to me that, not being on tumb.lr recently, there are quite      a few of you that don’t know something that happened.      Last month, before I could leave on a trip for a few days to visit her this      month (this past week, really), my fiancee of almost four years broke      off our engagement, and our relationship. And it still hurts like a fucker.      She has her reasons that I won’t go into, and I bear her no ill will.      But.. I still love her. And I always will. I told her as much, and I’m hoping      that, maybe, in the future, we can still be friends.

Just because she’d done research on her heritage as far as mythology goes didn’t mean that this got any easier. She pursed her lips into a thin line, averting her gaze from them.
