The European Union already forced Apple to abandon its proprietary charging port and adopt USB-C across its entire iPhone lineup. It just did something bigger. A new EU mandate requires every smartphone sold in Europe including Apple devices to feature a battery that can be replaced by the user without specialist tools, without voiding a warranty, and without sending the device to a manufacturer approved service center. Batteries must maintain a minimum capacity threshold after a set number of charge cycles and replacement parts must remain available for up to ten years after a model goes on sale.
The consumer electronics industry built its current business model around batteries that degrade, cannot be replaced at home, and create a natural upgrade cycle every two to three years. The EU just legislated that model out of existence in the world's largest regulatory market.
Apple, Samsung, and every other manufacturer now faces a choice between redesigning their devices for the European market or accepting that their current hardware architecture is no longer legally sellable there.
Given that no company walks away from European consumers voluntarily the phones are going to change and once they change for Europe the rest of the world will ask why theirs still do not.

I want to hear your opinions on iphone colors now (only if you want to of course)
Well how could I possibly refuse an excuse to rant about a niche topic :]

To start, my main opinion for iphone back glass colors is that if you're gonna make it a color, MAKE IT THAT COLOR. I haaate some of these La Croix ass colors they put out for the 15 line. So my main favorites end up being the colors that are both nice and bold.
I spent wayyy too long saving and compiling all the iphone colors so here's each model and my thoughts on them:
I included the 5c line because it was the first generation they started offering a selection of colors. This is one of my favorites too because they're fun and vibrant! I especially like this shade of green, which is unfortunately a shade they never use again :(
After that, the 6s, 7s, 8s, and xs all share a pretty similar pallete. I didn't include the 6s cause honestly I just didn't want to or think it would contribute to the convo lol. The rose gold of the xs is one of my fav of the rose golds cause in person it has a very deep and shiny luster.
Then with the XRs you start to get some fun colors again like coral and yellow! I really like the bright color variety of the XRs. It has one of my favorite blues and the best of the yellows.
The 11s start to loose some of that vibrancy but tried to keep with the fun colors. Unfortunately this created my least favorite green. Very toothpaste coded. The purple kinda irritates me, its too soft that it feels like a waste. JUST MAKE IT PURPLE. I at least like the 11 pro gold and green colors, theyre a lot more solid and pretty.
12s did much better on the purple, its strong while still being soft. But then it totally failed on the green. WAY too light and feeble, like its giving me nothing. Also dislike the red, its too pinkish without being coral. Just not a good shade. 12s blue i actually like quite well, its a very deep dusk color that i find very pretty.
Then the 13s came in with the best green and one of my most favorite blues. The green is so earthy and rich, it feels alive! And the blue is just such a pretty shade, like the early morning blue hour. It feels fresh. But then the pink is another La Croix color, not pink enough to feel pink. I also dont like the 13P blue that much, just generic.
On the 14s I like the blue and yellow, but the purple is another complete dud and the red is an almost nauseating shade. The real star of the lineup is that STUNNING 14Pro purple. Shes an absolute star, so rich and deep and vibrant! The pictures dont do the color justice, when you hold that phone in your hand its like gazing into the pure embodiment of a grape orchard. THIS is purple.
The 15 is just filled with duds. Every standard color is like a faded chalk drawing on the sidewalk. The pink and green are at least kinda cute, but looks so faded it just feels pointless. The worst of it is the yellow, especially in person it reminds me of scrambled eggs. Just a pathetic color. I at least like the 15Pro blue, its got a metalic depth to it that I think is cool.
16s bring it back with some REAL colors and I'm a big fan! The rich ultramarine blue is just stunning. The green is a beautiful teal, and the pink is the best pink theyve ever done. I even like the desert titanium color of the 16Pro, its very natural and warm.
And finally the 17s. They took an unfortunate step back with some of the standard colors, the blue is still pretty but much less vibrant, and the purple is a good shade but way too light. However the green is VERY cute, I love the olive shade, and the matte part actually helps add to it instead of wash it out like the others. And now my absolute favorite: the 17 Pro orange!! It is FANTASTIC!! Apple hasnt had any orange color devices, the closest being the XR coral. But this orange is beautiful, very strong and confident. Its easy to make orange look bad, but they chose a perfect shade.
I'm sure this is wayy more in depth then you were bargaining for, but it's been slow at work so I finally had time to put this all together ✌️
