Katy Perry is and will always be my spirit animal! Earlier this year I was drooling over her half time performance at the Super Bowl like a kid at a candy store. ALL THOSE COSTUMES! After mayhem broke out and thousands of memes came out about her ‘hot dog on a stick’ costume, I knew I had to re-create such a timeless moment this Halloween.
Now, to set the record straight, she was not channeling the 'hot dog on a stick’ worker at the mall. She was in fact, channeling her inner beach ball, I know, confusing right? And can we please take a moment to talk about the 'Left Shark,’ he clearly stole the show with his forgotten choreography! Overall, the super bowl rocked, and I knew a lot of Katy Perry fans would be thrilled to find a tutorial like this for Halloween.
The tutorial overall is incredibly inexpensive and easy to make. It will take you some time and patience, so be sure to set a day or two aside to work on it. You will find in the video above the full tutorial/directions on how to re-create the look. I also included a quick run through on how to create the 'Left Sharks’ as props, to complete the overall Super Bowl 2015 look.
I truly hope you guys enjoy this tutorial. I have been planning it since the day of the Super Bowl, not even joking. I really had a great time prancing around my house dancing like a happy idiot while shooting this. AND PLEASE be sure to tag me on Instagram @Fancymade using the hashtag #FancyMadeDIY this Halloween. I really look forward to seeing your beautiful creations and renditions to this costume.
Sending all of you lots of love and light,
Drea
