Peter and Remus roommate headcanons

. Remus refused to buy a tv because he was scared it would listen in on his conversation so their movie nights are watched on Peters iPad

. Every single one of their mugs are stained with tea that refuses to come out

. Peter knows Remus’s order from every cafe and restaurant they go to and will bring home take away on random days of the week with no warning if he has even the slightest inkling Remus had a bad day

. Remus put a cap on how many plants they were allowed in the house and Peter put a cap on how many records Remus was allowed to buy per month

. Remus can’t cool to save his life, he burns everything, porridge, pasta, eggs, he’s hopeless so Peter’s the house cook, but always encourages Remus to watch him so he can pick up skills

. Out of fear that he doesn’t do enough around the house because he’s constantly sick Remus will randomly completely deep clean everything for days and then not do it for another two or so months

. They have a ‘draw yourself’ piece of paper hung up on the wall besides the door that is overflowing with people

. They had to put in place a text system and a sock system after too many instances of Remus walking in on Peter and his girlfriend

. Remus won’t come out of his room in summer unless he has an ice pack stuffed down his pants, no shirt and the promise that the fan is on the highest setting it can possibly be at. Peter keeps telling him they should just move into a flat with aircon

. Peter drinks his morning coffee out of a Guiness glass, Remus drinks his morning tea out of a University branded mug that is missing its handle

. Remus always forgets to do the big shop so Peter started sticking post it notes EVERYWHERE in the house reminding him to, in the shower, on the inside of the toilet lid, in and outside of the fridge, on Remus’s pillow

. All their furniture is from charity shops or Facebook market place

mary seeing marlene and dorcas together and wanting to be happy for her best friend - she’s gay! and someone is interested in her! - but feeling like there’s something not right about it. not because she’s homophobic. i mean, come on, half her boyfriends seem to end up queer. which is just her luck, isn’t it? but no, it’s not because she’s bothered by seeing marlene with another girl, it’s just…it was always mary standing beside her. it was always mary that marlene leaned in to make some wry comment to. it was always mary fixing marlene’s hair or wiping away flecks of mascara from her cheekbone. and it was always mary that marlene looked at across the table to share a knowing look with. and it was always mary that marlene told all her secrets to. and mary is the one who knows how to calm marlene down when she’s stressing, and mary knows what cuts of clothing are the most flattering on her friend’s body - which is actually a very nice body despite how insecure marlene always gets - so she can give her the best guidance. and maybe mary doesn’t always understand everything marlene is talking about when she and lily or sirius start talking about science stuff but she still likes to listen to it. she always listens to marlene. marlene has always been so much more interesting than all the boys mary dates. and that’s why it feels wrong that marlene isn’t turning to her first to tell her what’s on her mind anymore.

i love loser remus who's accidentally cool 🙂‍↕️

i love that he wears grandpa sweaters and most of his classmates don't even know what he sounds like, but all of his friends are a little mesmerized by his deep voice, his muggle cigarettes, and his music taste. i love that his favorite activities involve reading a book and napping, but every time he takes the lead on a prank, it's always an epic one that hogwarts talks about for months. i love that he sucks at sports, but makes the smartest comments about quidditch matches. i love that he's so skinny that his uniform sleeves keep slipping, so he rolls them up and obliviously gives sirius a gay panic over forearms. i love that he thinks he's bland and awkward (and that he really is) but that he also has the greatest laugh the gryffindor tower has ever heard, the cleverest comments anyone could ever make, a dry humor that no one sees coming, and a sense of kindness that makes you melt in your own skin.

lily and james marrying and they've decided that her best friend marlene is gonna be their photographer. but when marlene comes home that night with an ache in her stomach, she realizes that every single photo she took is of her. not of them together, it’s all her. lily smiling at her when she's getting ready. lily standing bright and tall during the beautiful reception. lily laughing as she walks down the church steps with flowers falling around her face. lily cutting the cake. lily dancing surrounded by her bridesmaids. and marlene wants to throw up because she can’t show any of this, but they're gonna want the pictures and they're all gonna know that she's-- that she's-- why was she so scared of confessing? this is worse than the hell she feared. this is a nightmare. she will have to watch as the woman she's loved for over a decade moves into her new house on that idyllic street, and they're gonna get a kid and oh god-- she's never been more in love.
