In 1975 insane collaborative artists Gilbert & George produced a photo series “Dusty Corners” which they described as “absolutely hopeless, dead, grey, lost”. How wonderful that almost 40 years later their work is being so faithfully recreated by useless real estate agents the world over. The only difference is that these modern versions are, if anything, even worse.

2001: A Space Odyssey.
I watched 2001 for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It was the greatest thing my eyes had ever seen.
What stayed with me most after watching the film was the time I was given as a viewer just to sit back and think. So often now you see films where the plot is rammed down your throat through badly cobbled dialogue and relentless action for actions sake.
The feeling of watching that film for the first time is something i'll probably spend the rest of my life trying to replicate.
