ALRIGHT SO. FIRST OFF. HIS RATTY OLD S1 HOODIE !!! I hc he was like 8-10 in s1 but here hes around 15-ish so ofc hes outgrown it since then. Its old and threadbare and full of holes but lloyd REFUSES to let go of it so through the power of DIY and cloth altering hes made it into this crop top patch jacket situation!!
In case y'all dont KNOW his original design with the green #5 was meant to be foreshadowing for him being The Fifth and Green Ninja. I'm so crazy about that how could I not keep it??? Little note, the inside of the jacket is green bc
1. Its visually appealing as all hell to me to have undersides of hair/clothing/anything etc be a bright color rather than having it be in shadow
2. BC on the outside it looks like oooh garmadons mini me with the black hoodie skeleton design BUT INSIDE, DRAMATIC GASP, HES ACTUALLY THE GREEN MOTHERFUCKING NINJA !!!
I also wanted him to have a scarf mask thing to hide his face with + the hood. He probably uses it when hes sneaking into shit or robbing stores or whatever but it also vaguely emulates a ninja hood!!!
God I really tried making all the visual elements scream "hes not what he seems!!! Hes gonna be a ninja!!!! Hes gonna be the GREEN ninja!!!! AGH!!!" 💀
Anyway a recurring theme here is how all of his clothes are very very ill fitting💀 like yeah, he has that thing (my hc) where he has a sort of delayed aging, but also!!! Noones taking care of this poor fucking kid. He doesnt have much and he has to make everything last for as long as it can. Hence, patching the jacket, oversized pants for him to grow into, shoes with removed shoelaces bc theyre getting too small, etc.
I also think its a funny symbolism situation where hes clearly not in the role hes supposed to be in? Like being the evil son of garmadon is so so Ill fitting for him.
Oh and ugh all the little ways he tries to emulate Garmadon!!! Similar to canon, he wears a purple sash as a belt to copy his dad!!! Love the practical use (for the oversized pants) with the symbolism (garm idolization) and the fashion/aesthetic (it breaks up the dark colors in his outfit) all rolled into one >:D
He also has garms canon hairstyle under the helmet, yk, the fuckass pointy onion ass hair. Bc 1. The mandatory bowlcut hairstyle fucks with all students and he needs to make it less horrid looking by slicking it back and 2. Garm parallels !!!!!
Oh and his little belt decorations!!! AGH I like to think he gathered enough money to get a set of purple ??? Whatever its called? But he lost one of them so now he just ties his ID to the belt straps bc its close enough😭 they ARE required to carry that around with them everywhere. A little fucked bc its giving "all the kids are on a leash/chained to darkleys as their slaves" or some shit. Anyway technically he could keep the ID in his pocket but this is practical in that it frees up space and has fashion points XD
He has lil pointy painted nails too!!! To copy garms claws n shit. Fuck yeah (big misconception that he smokes. Theyre lollipops ok)
Sidenote!!! Not sure if its obvious but I tried making it a whole thing where the darker purple is meant to be a symbol for Darkleys and the brighter purple is a symbol for Lloyd/garm. So his personal items are likely to be bright purple while darkleys provided items are dark purple (this is applicable especially for his school uniform design)

Bouncing off the walls.
Lloyd and Misako keep in touch in this AU!! Via letters mostly, but sometimes via calls if shes somewhere with cell reception. Its not too often, communication is very few and far between, especially since misakos moving place to place so much. She never gives lloyd all the answers hes desperately hoping for, but her letters detail a lot of cool stories and such. She also sends him packages from time to time, which he gets to keep if they make it to the school and if lloyd can fend off the other kids from stealing it.
Misako usually sends him something for his birthday, they never make it to him on his ACTUAL birthday though. The delivery time never matches up. Its generally a letter plus some sort of care package, with foreign candy for lloyd to try, some clothing, some sort of tool (the dagger he carries is one such gifts), posters, art materials, some money, etc.
On his 13th birthday it dawns on misako that shes been gone WAY longer than shes ever planned, and her little boy is a teenager now, and she still has no solution to the prophecy. She wonders if lloyd even remembers what she looks like. If he has any memory of his father before he succumbed to the venom. She carries a picture of their family with her, to make sure she never forgets. Does lloyd have anything? Its been so long. She sends him a (probably enchanted) necklace with a copy of the picture she carries with her, and hopes that he can see the love in her eyes.
For the first time, loyd receives his birthday care package on the actual day of. He stares at the picture for hours. Thats his mom? How could she have left him here, when theres such an unmistakable love in her eyes, overwhelming and painful to look at? But theres something else too. A heavy weight on her shoulders, a deep concern in the furrow of her brows, a certain protectiveness in the way she cradles him. Huh.
(Misako knew right from the start. What mustve she thought aghghvj it drives me crazy)
And is that his dad? He looks... like lloyd. He spends a few hours just, comparing their features in a mirror. He wasnt sure what his dad looked like before being banished.
He only ever hears stories of the ruthless warlord with blood red eyes and a thirst for power. The version of his father known as evil incarnate, who relished in the anguished cries of his victims. The unholy Lord of Destruction that clawed a way out of hell itself to spread damnation among the living. Untouchable. Inhuman.
The man in the picture looks kind.
His eyes, mistakenly the only thing lloyd thought they shared, are as red as lloyds. It should be menacing. And yet. Theres a gentleness about him, completely uncharacteristic from everything lloyds ever known. It feels almost wrong, to see him in such a domestic light. To see him as a father, a husband, a person.
Lloyd has his smile.
SCREAMING SCREAMING SCREAMING that fucking necklace is the only thing lloyd has that shows he was ever loved and he sure as hell wears that shit everywhere all the time bc FUCK if hes ever gonna risk it being stolen by another bitchass kid. Its his only connection to having a family. Something real to hold onto. And god fucking forbid if he ever lets go. He occasionally just stares at it for hours and hours. Wondering what the fuck happened. The actual strap fking breaks at some point so the aforementioned removed shoelaces were turned into a DIY necklace.

Anyway yes theyre green. I actually made the shoelace version first and then changed it to no shoelace bc it made more sense and had the fun DIY necklace story. It accidentally came with the fun symbolism of lloyd having that green ninja prophecy shit having him in a chokehold💅leashing him. A noose around his neck. however those many types of metaphors go. fuck yeah

I'm a big fan of Minor Uniform Alterations For Personality fr especially as someone who grew up wearing school uniforms for like a dozen years💀 People get creative! Lloyd gets creative by wearing an earring, bright purple gloves and socks, and... slicking his mandatory bowlcut hair back😭 (all the kids in the darkleys scenes have basically the same haircut, so I hc that its part of the school uniform. They say it helps students build resentment!)
Gave lloyd rlly baggy clothes, cuz of my whole headcanon about his physical aging being delayed (in that the older he gets, the slower the aging becomes, so it takes him a while to catch up to his peers) and I think they'd have different uniforms for different age groups yk? Like kindergarten, elementary, and high school would all require a uniform change. Lloyd finally started fitting into his old elementary uniform when he had to start over with the high school clothes 😔 poor him
Oh and one of the minor uniform alterations I gave him is that he keeps his button up untucked! The triangles make for fun silhouettes. If you can't tell hes got his thumb in his pocket here XD we'll see what I can give the others for their minor alterations lmao. I'm thinking popped collars or rolled up sleeves? Not sure yet
I love the idea of them having mandatory IDs too, no ID no entry💀 They can't lose that shit unless they wanna go through the agonizing process of breaking into the school, talking to a disciplinarian, and getting a new one made💀
My school ID has one of those chips in it to keep track of attendance at the gate or library or what so I wanted to give the darkleys kids one! Except its a literal tracker, for when they go out on practical assignments (like the projects). The school IS technically responsible for these kids if any of them went missing, so this is good for checking where tf they went. The ID pictures all look like mug shots, and they have emergency contact numbers at the back (whether or not the numbers work or the people will respond is irrelevant lmao)

Lloyd, Brad, and Gene have a lil groupchat to send updates on the group project XD they have fun. Lots of trashtalking and general shenanigans.
Last note: I want you to know he still has his fucked ass voice from s1-7 here, and so the "what, scared of little old me?" should be peak Little Shit energy
