New York City Winter Storm Jonas
If you know me, you know that my passion project is photographing New York City in the snow. I have been photographing NYC in snowstorms for the last 5 years.
The Blizzard of 2016 in New York City is proving to be one of the most epic snowstorms I have been in (even more intense than the blizzard of 1996!!!).
Here are some photos of my home neighborhood of the Lower East Side and Soho taken this afternoon at around 2:00 PM. I will be out later tonight (of course).

Lots of snowplows were out making this look deceptively less in terms of snowfall. Check out the cars though…
This was before all the cars were banned from the streets. However, the streets were empty of cars for the most part anyway…

Blizzard 2016 New York City
Having lived here my whole life, I really think this storm is breaking records right now. I am a little intimidated by tonight to be honest. I have a route planned. We will see how it goes!
