Band of Brothers but SexyBack plays every time Speirs is on screen

MCCLUNG! 🗣️
I like how band of brothers makes you really think about the consequences of war and how it atomizes, suppresses, and disenfranchises grief, as shown throughout the series, specifically in bastogne and the events after
but at the same time, it makes you think: wow! babe was so excited and giggly when gene called him babe while they were holding hands and huddled very closely in babe's foxhole
there is something so special to me about how often he fidgets
I had to sketch them to get them out of my system lol
Speirs couldn't decide what card to play will never be not funny to me
3 freaking pages of "Speirs looks down at his cards..."
Rewatching Speirs’ “you’re already dead” speech from episode 3, and I think that one thing that makes it so unsettling is that he’s looking almost directly into the camera, and he doesn’t blink once the whole time.
Unlike later in episode 7 when he blinks and looks away from Carwood, having him look completely off from the camera. Also making him seem more human by showing emotions such as bashfulness and adoration.
It also has a lot to do with the lighting in each scene. Which I want to make a real essay/powerpoint/infographic on, if people would be interested.
imagining a six-foot-tall man—one of, if not the physically largest guys in the platoon—all hunched over and desperately scribbling observations in a little notebook as it's pitch dark and the humvee bounces over unpaved road like the world's worst landlocked reenactment of sailing down the drake passage, all the while resigned to the back of his head getting repeatedly assaulted by an antitank rpg as he simultaneously desperately tries to avoid hitting the giant red switch by his knee that says KILL POWER TO ALL COMMS AND BRAD COLBERT'S PRECIOUS BLUE FORCE TRACKER is such a missed physical comedy opportunity that it makes me feel palpably ill.
my little sister and I are watching Band of Brothers for the first time and her favorite is Winters and mine is Nixon, and the other day she was like, “so are you gonna draw them or what” 👌🏻✨
